She is giving REALLY great advice. This was one of the first things I started doing on my bike when I got it back in 2004 and I do it EXACTLY how she is saying. I like to do it going at least 20 MPH because the bike is really stable and I always do it in neutral because the engine does not affect the bike, it just rolls free.
Tried it yesterday but the video didn't include how to get down so I'm currently typing this while stand riding to oblivion. Please help, going number 1 wasn't much of an issue but I haven't figured out number 2 yet and I'm afraid it's gonna get messy.
HI Leah, In the video you mention faster is better, yet you're in 1st or 2nd gear My best ride ever, long before you were born was 6 1/2 miles at 70 MPH. I had the standard set screw throttle lock for the day. With over 100 miles total on the seat I found that when in town with very light traffic, the second I would go up the car 10 15 car lengths ahead would see me in the rear view and lift off the gas. I soon learned how to give hand signs and lean the bike into the next lane to pass. I began this stunt in 1970 on a 125 Yamaha at 13 on dirt roads in the desert after finding a picture of my father doing the same thing on a 1936 Harley VLH in 1939 on Newton St. in Hacienda Heights, Ca.
This video is great, thank you. I bought my bike without intentions of doing stunts. Balance is something that I have some interest in, I started standing up in a static position just to build more balance in my body. I should've known that would lead to me wanting to learn this technique. You pointed out a couple things I've noticed while in a static position that would create difficulties. I have an R3, not worth doing any other stunts on, the gas tank is rather small. So maybe no standing on the tank but maybe I can build my confidence up by standing on my foot pegs or even my frame sliders. I'm really gonna study your techniques, movement and control! Thank you for adding this video, it's not just a show off video but a very instructional video, I subscribed. :)
The first time I did this stunt was in the rain lol. It's not a hard stunt unless you have a bike that likes to drift one way or the other. Just make sure you keep your speed below 60mph as I tried it at that speed and nearly got blown off the back of my bike by the wind haha! The way I do it is by accelerating in a low gear then shifting it up to a high gear, giving me less engine braking and thus a longer time to perform the stunt, though putting it into neutral as Leah suggests may be better.
give it throttle, let out the cluch (try to pop the wheel up 1-2 feet) then push your bars forward It's basically the same as a bmx bike only the first step is different cause you have to clutch it up but after clutching it up 1-2 feet off the ground it's exactly the same as a bmx bike
I run about 25 in each tire and set my steering damper to 1 (or the lowest) a damper works against you with acros, I know that sounds contradictory but it's true!
Bikes are soo heavy I hated myself for dropping my friends bike not sure if his coolant was overfilled but it was dripping a little bit of coolant do u think the bike is messed up?
K question though when you let go of the throttle the bike immediately starts to slow down so are you just riding out like that and it's slowing down or is there a way to keep the throttle going where it's at.
Hey Lea, thanks for such a gr8 video, I do have 600cc bike, what speed do you advise me to go for ..and shall I jump with the two legs up to the chair or what ?
If you get some speed in 2nd lets say, put it in neutral before standing up. Providing there is very little air drag, your bike will slow down significantly slower while in neutral!
I did this in fourth gear and was looking down when I went down to to go back to my seat I was leaned way to much in the front I fell over my handle bars
Here's some more advice: if you're going to do this, don't do it on the road. The road is not your personal circus act. It is an uncontrolled environment and any of the myriad of videos of tires popping off of cages at high speed ought to be hint enough as to the kind of trouble you can be in if you have to make an emergency maneuver while standing on your bike.
This was a fantastic lesson but I didn’t learn a thing about how to get back down off the fuckin seat once I’m in the air how about some tips to save my life one I do some reckless shit like this? Lmao
That's hardly a sportbike anymore without all those ridiculous mods. A more impressive feat would be to do a wheelie on a stock bike that can also be used for canyon carving.
Lol is it 8 stroke lololol I hope you're not talking about the bike if you are park your bike take a picture of it put it on Craigslist and get the fuck away from it

It’s harder than I thought I keep kicking it up too high into 2nd gear

hey just started trying to learn some things, came across your channel and learned this today. You guys are a lot of help Thanks!
wear your gear says the girl in the tshirt and jeans?
its a disclaimer for legal situations. much like when racing games tell you to not race on public roads
+Jason Leo also she's got a vest. Jeans are what most riders wear.
don't be a party pooper she a pro she knows what shes doing
awesome ;) but how do you get back down safely?
I find it easy to bend knees, grab bars, hop down onto the foot rests then sit all in one fluid motion
drop your ass down

My best friend Mike died doing this in June of 2018. Miss him everyday.
There's a lot more to it than I thought!
Cool vid, thank you. Any tips on getting down once you're up?
Well no matter what you do, you will eventually come down one way or the other.
The first time I did this stunt was in the rain lol. It's not a hard stunt unless you have a bike that likes to drift one way or the other. Very nice I ma be there tonight but idk if I am try this on my stock bike lol :)
I love women doing these kind of stuff. congratulations.
I like how she smiles after she says running into a wall haha.
I don't even know how to do a wheelie, but I would like the same 636 !
I really miss your videos.. Hope you guys upload again
How about getting back down? Pretty much straight forward or are there any tips?
Yeah, they kinda missed that bit out. Seems pretty important haha.
You reverse the stunt, put your hands on the handle and then sit down on your bike again by putting ur feet in the footrests.
Woah, sounds so...simple.
Sorry bruh I know I'm bad at explaining everything looks easier than done :P Fitheach999

Awesome video ma'am ...

Have u pulled off the endo yet? I heard its pretty scary
any tips on how to jump with a bike like bill dixon does alot??
How do I get back down have been stuck on my tank for years now
How do you do this without a hand on the throttle
Leah what do you set your steering dampner on when your doing this. And what tire pressure do you run front and rear when your lot riding
I did this in fourth gear and was looking down when I went down to to go back to my seat I was leaned way to much in the front I fell over my handle bars
Could u tell me what motorcycle ur driving in this vid?
Awesome!

Thanks Leah!!! I love you in secret.
What do you got as your tank grip?
Is this possible on tight seat like supermoto ??
What bike is this?

...how do you get back down?
What is on the gas tank on your bike and also what bike is that
carbon fibre is on the gas tank (not sure if its real) and the bike is a honda

I turn my idle way up and get it in 4th gear and jump on the tank at about 50mph
OMG, she is beatiful, an the best part she's stunter
Where do you buy your parts for your bike? like the crash kage?...Does any one know any good websites that are legit
its not meant to be, its a stunt bike for tricks, not tracks
you girl are awesome! *__* ...thanks a lot for the tips. =)
MORE VIDEOS PLEASE. ITS BEEN A MONTH!!
Can you youse a honda cbr600rr 2008
How you get down?
The same way you got up but don't the opposite
Bunny hops?
I seen a man do this on the highway yesterday
*O* LIKE ERES MI IDOLA UNA MUJER ASIENDO ESOOOOO ...... Q BIEN AMO ESE TIPO DE COSAS :*
Blue demon I think it's in neutral
Wow
The bike is not designed to be standed on.. So I stand my ass up xD
I tried with putting one foot on the seat and the other on the steering wheel and I fell
What?! Putting your foot on the bars can cause the bike to turn not to mention an awkward stance like that can make it harder to properly balance
bad ass
u use the penrose spot nice. hope to run into u there one day. shoot i found u through instagram now more and more find out about the spots haha
This was a fantastic lesson but I didn’t learn a thing about how to get back down off the fuckin seat once I’m in the air how about some tips to save my life one I do some reckless shit like this? Lmao
Just crank up the throttle stop screw and hold on for dead life
Whoever is actually gonna try this ...... Crazy
It's actually fairly simple! Took me about 2 hours to get pretty decent at it
it's ironic how she says "wear your gear" right after the vid of her with no arm protection! Elbow road rash hurts like hell, you know!
okay si how the hell do u get down haha
dfq mate
You dont need attachments on your bike to stunt guys been stunting for years
That's hardly a sportbike anymore without all those ridiculous mods. A more impressive feat would be to do a wheelie on a stock bike that can also be used for canyon carving.
Dress for the slide, not for the ride!
the bike is not designed to be stand on, so i rather sit my ass on the seat when i ride it : )
#cyberpunk2077 style driving
Got it right on my 1st attempt, perfected it on the 2nd... all thanks to this tutorial 💪🏽 visit my channel to see the video
she says wear your gear when she has a short sleeve in the vid, sigh...
i guess i have fallen in love with u....;-)
Cool video actually. Unlike the format and editing. Simple.
no me gusta por que sale mas la presentadora que el truco ...deje de hablar y muestren el video
Wear you gear ;d... *Hint, hint*
нечерта не понятно
