I just did this to my bmpcc4k and moza air 2 after watching a few months ago and total game changer as I'm learning to shoot . Takes off so much weight . Thank you
Great thanx for this simple solution I'm testing it for few months now (belt) and this is all I needed for stop complaining about my back after shooting :D You are saving my life :)
Thank you. The only restriction is when you align the stabilizer straight upright, but hold it lower than the strap. That's when it interferes with the stabilizer bar and might shut off power to the motors. But that isn't a hard fix. simply hold the stabilizer higher or tilt it away from the strap. Rarely have this happen.
I just bought my feiyu tech ak2000 gimbal.. i mostly shoot weddings.. and it takes a long day of work.. it's a nice idea to lift a bit weight off the arm and shoulder.. i might try this technique as well.. thanks for sharing this..
I got mine at Home Depot, but you can search Amazon for 50lb cable ties. Try to get the ones that are 10 inches (25cm) in length, otherwise you have to use 2 of them to wrap around the stabilizer - which isn't a problem, as you can see, that's what I've done.
I see you connected the BMPCC 4k directly to the gimbal's DC out. Did it ever give you any problem? Mine keeps turning off but only when the camera is connected...
I know exactly what you're talking about, but I didn't notice a lot of that bounce in my long night of shooting. I'll make a video addressing this issue, as it is important. There are a few ways I deal with it. Thank you for your question.
Unless you're getting a really well-used one on Ebay, I don't see that. I did a lot of searching before I chose this route. You must not be talking about the steadicam with gyros, but maybe the manual version with springs?
This is awesome tips... even though I do not own a BMPCC4K (I own a sony a7iii) and use a Zhiyun Crane 2, your info is valuable. Keep posting my friend. Subscribed.
I saw that a while ago, it definitely serves a purpose for those who need that handle-and other mounting options. Thanks for going through the work of getting it to the public.
Understand that. Clearly, the bolted piece you have would give one a greater sense of security - not to mention the ability to add attachments. Though, I must say, I have had over 25 hours of heavy use on my zip tie solution. Just finished another 3 hrs today with it.

great tip, thanx!
You're welcome
This is a great tip. Does it restrict your camera movements at all? And what is the device on top of the camera?
Thank you. The only restriction is when you align the stabilizer straight upright, but hold it lower than the strap. That's when it interferes with the stabilizer bar and might shut off power to the motors. But that isn't a hard fix. simply hold the stabilizer higher or tilt it away from the strap. Wow! That's a great idea and one that I'm going to be using. You've earned a subscriber.
Cool, thank you.

I’ll be posting a video on that very question tonight. Thank you for asking
Nice idea! Thanks!)
You're welcome
Brilliant!
Thank you. And simple as well. Still going strong with it.
Does this address the "bounce" when walking?

for the price of moza air 2 you could buy a good steadycam with a vest.

@@mingeffect i mean the manual steadycam ya. :D

Thank you. More on the way.
in addition to the "resting" function of the belt, I prefer a real extra handle. Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/WLbF3ccyFb8/v-deo.html

@@mingeffect yes, thanks... your hack also works for your purpose... I'm just a little scared that it might loosen up
