    I feel as though I'm going insane, why does it seem as though the BMPCC is too wide for this gimbal 😭 thank you for your tutorial I notice at 9:15 in your video, it looks as though the small rig is slightly off centre from the quick release plate. Can you tell me how you manage to fit the camera on the gimbal please?

    Hello, thanks for your videos that guides us about this gimbal. I'd like to ask some questions and appreciate if you answer:
    1- Can I use an AC adapter from the wall to power entire setup (Moza Air 2/BMPCC4K/HDD/Monitor) via the port on the shaft? If yes dou you know exact specs of the adapter?
    2- When I use alternative battery options like Ultrafire, should I use same original Moza charging adapter or change it too? What causes the main problem, batteries, charger or charging method?
    3- It's written on many internet pages that suggest to charge original Moza batteries one by one everytime. Did you try that and what do you think?
    Hopefully I didn't occupy your time and thank you...

    I know this is an older video but I was wondering if there was a way to control the bmpcc4k with the gimble or have the gimble kind of "see" through the camera. Like if you wanted to use the feature of tracking a target could you do that with this gimble and camera?

    • @mingeffect
      @mingeffect  4 роки тому

      They do have a gyro-track setup you can use in the iPhone app (don't have android, so I can't comment there), where you lock the gimbal to the iPhone's movement--it's actually pretty cool. You could use a head mount for the iPhone and then use, by proxy, your head movement to aim the camera via the gimbal.

    Hi, 1 question. at 17:41
    ua-cam.com/video/Yp6lkNMWJtM/v-deo.html
    with the mic set up on top (and i presume you put everything on their right balance) you start the auto calibration, BUT, when you do that, the camera tilts up (wich you have edited in all the calibration parts, cut out) , does the mic bang the motor? (asking because when you were calibrating manually , you took the rig slightly to the left in order to not hit the motor) but when you do calibrate automatically machine checks all the axis, so it hits the mic¿?
    thank you i hope you understand my question

    • @mingeffect
      @mingeffect  5 років тому

      You'll see at about the 28 min mark I actually balance it slightly forward so it isn't hitting the mic. When it auto-calibrates and does its dance, it doesn't tilt back that far to hit the mic at all. The auto-calibrate only jiggles slightly on its axis's so there's no worry. The motors are strong enough to withstand that slight imbalance. Really not a problem.

      I actually get them through here www.18650batterystore.com
      And then I take them to a local power supply company that handles industrial power generators, etc. I will be making a video on the process where they tap-weld the tab on it with a special welder - does it in like 1-second. Currently, I'm holding off sending my Moza Air 2 back to the company for repair (keeps coming up with 02 errors) because of the unrest in Hong Kong at the moment. Thank you very much for doing this ! Quick question, I was talking with a rep from moza. • @mingeffect
      @mingeffect  5 років тому +3

      I just timed it yesterday using that exact setup and constant filming (meaning active planning shots and recording when actors were ready). With the supplied Moza batteries it ran from 909am to 953am. 44 minutes. That's full use of the stabilizer in moving shots using Q5 BRAW to my 1TB G-Drive, NTG-2 phantom power 48v. The stabilizer was never turned off during that time and was always working the motors.

      That's constant use. I mean continuous movement, full 48v power to the mic, and extensive recording to the ssd. wanted to max it out for you all. If you are intermittent with it, powering down the camera and/or the stabilizer, you will get longer times. Using the other 18650 batteries, which I am making a video about, you can get up to 2 hrs or more.

    Great videos on the Moza Air 2. Have you had any problems with the Moza Master app (IOS)? After initially connecting, the app can't find the gimbal, and won't connect. It seems a few people are having this problem. Just wondering whether you have, and if there is a fix? Thanks.

    • @barrystephenson6950
      @barrystephenson6950 5 років тому

      I just found a work around. I think I've found a bug. If the ifocus m is plugged into power when the gimbal is turned on, the app can't locate the gimbal. If you unplug the ifocus m, before powering on the gimbal, then the app can find the gimbal, and you can then plug the ifocus back in.

      @@georg782 Hi Georg, I have not been able to try the 18-35 with a speedbooster on the BMPCC4K and Moza air 2 yet unfortunately :( but I am still very much interested in buying this lens especially for gimbal work as I have been working for a company that let me use their GH5S and 18-35 on a Ronin s gimbal. The lens itself is not the lightest but I wouldn't say it's as chunky / heavy as some other full frames, I'm quite sure that the BMPCC4K, sigma 18-35 and the Moza air 2 would work just fine and could handle well. It is just an assumption but I'm basing it off having held the lens before and also watching plenty of UA-cam / Vimeo vids of people's work using that combination :') Long story short I may test this out myself sometime soon so I'll keep you posted if so!
