Thank you for bringing back great memories of dove hunting down in Falfurrias back in the 70s/80s. My grandma would bread them and pan fry them in lard.
Man, I miss dove hunting with a friend that had some property in the family here in Texas. I was a yankee until I was 17, and thought "you actually eat those things"? But wow are they delicious. And like fishing, I enjoy the hunt, but I'm not a catch and release kind of guy, what I get, I eat. So dove hunting involves the skill of the hunt, but the reward of great, fresh game. Yee hah! (Texan now for 35 years and counting).
We chicken fry our dove! It’s delicious but l have have the jalapeno stuffed and bacon wrapped too and that’s just as good haha there is definitely no wrong way
@@marcbartholomew5463I just looked online and only found one species that looks close to a white wing and that’s the collard dove. By the way dove and pigeons are in the same family and very closely related. Your turtle dove looks similar to our mourning dove. Hope that helps.

Mourning dove marinated in teriyaki, skewered with water chestnuts, and wrapped in bacon is one of my favorite post hunting treats.

That is a great way to eat dove. Hide that taste with cream cheese and bacon.
That bacon was so rancid!!!! You could see the slime as the guy pulled it apart in the package at 5:18
Keep on grilling!!!
