Features are as described. I wore this every day for 7 months and really liked it. I used it to track my pool swims about 4 times a week. Unfortunately, it started to shut down and/or go into vibration mode and has now gone unresponsive and no longer works. The support team in China will not repair or refund. They say it is out of warranty because I 'wore it in the shower'. Of course we need a rinse before and after a pool swim! What kind of 'swim' watch can't handle that? The warranty they quoted me in their response actually says "Contact with soap or soapy water when washing hands, washing dishes, doing hand laundry, showering or bathing." They circled the word "showering" and claimed that is the reason for the lack of refund. That is NOT what it says in the warranty. I did NOT expose it to soap or soapy water but I did rinse in and out of the local pool. Not a good purchase. Stay away from this watch and company.
Well your not actually meant to go into water with an electrical device, as they state in their TOS, yes it's waterproof but only to a certain extent, so sadly it's your fault, it's no normal to go into water with a smart watch, do you go in a pool with your phone? (rhetorical question)

I'm glad you compared it to the Galaxy Watch 4, and it's a surprising result to me that the Ticwatch is more accurate in the HRM and even for weight training than the Galaxy Watch 4, Quite a disappointment, too. Hey Des, Lovely video. Which one would you choose between TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and Venu 2 for a person who enjoys running, cycling and sometimes swimming ?
The one this I don't like about the design is the use of pin based charging ports. Over time those pins get dirty and sometimes does not connect as well.
I would buy one if they removed the leading zero in 12 hour format. Why they don't seem to understand that am/pm replaces the zero is beyond me. Maybe you could mention that to them. Pretty simple update to the secondary panel they want you using.
How is the haptic engine in the Ultra? I have the "old" Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS and the haptic motor is very cheap. It buzzes very loud Annoying when im in meetings at work.
Hi. Nice review. I'm currently in search of a new smartwatch, I have an android phone and an iphone, using them both in turn. This watch is in my shortlist as is the case with Garmin forerunner 245 and/or 745., because they all work on both platforms. Now, my question is do you have any data about how these perform while swimming in the pool? I have a samsung galaxy fit band and its pretty inaccurate in all aspects. And which one of the above mentioned watches would you recommend? Thanks
Can this google assistant control smart home devices ? PS : yes it CAN control smart devices , and it does pretty well . But there is NO calling (dial) function
When using the outdoor running tracking, i get heart rate alerts at 165bpm, even when i have it set at 175bpm. I don' t get the 165bpm alert when tracking other activities. Is that normal? Thanks
While there is no snowballs chance in hell im gonna use a chinese products like ticwatch. You still provide good reviews. Hope you do fossil gen 6 and apple watch series 7 in the future.
Hey Des, thanks for the detailed review ! I have a couple of questions: Does the TicWatch 3 Ultra have metal inserts into the case at the holes where the strap lugs attach to the case, like Garmin watches with plastic cases have ? Also, does the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra have any kind of notification indicator on the power-saving screen ? Thanks !
I read the Ultra was really just a small refresh. It has a new secondary display that produces a splash of color using the backlight. The design of the watch body and the included silicone strap have also been updated.

If you really want to go for sleep tracking, huawei watches, apple watches, fitbit or pixel watch is the way to go, everything else is really bad at sleep tracking

How is the haptic engine in the Ultra? I have the "old" Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS and the haptic motor is very cheap. It buzzes very loud Annoying when im in meetings at work.
hey how is it with iphone?
Fantastic lad!
Thanks!
good afternoon. I want to ask about this tic watch pro 3 ultra gps. they can used sport open water like Triatlhon sport? swim, bike, run together?
Does it work on iphone?
Thanks
I'd suggest the 745 for swimming. I have some info on that in my in-depth review: ua-cam.com/video/NmbTccwVGkc/v-deo.html
Would you choose this watch or the Garmin 245? Thanks
Depends on what features you are looking for
Great video!!!
Anyone knows if the ticwatch workout app syncs with strava natively?
Yup!
Can this google assistant control smart home devices ?
PS : yes it CAN control smart devices , and it does pretty well .
But there is NO calling (dial) function
Nice I like it and it also looks nicer than the Galaxy watch 4 classic.
It’s a great looking watch 👍
Can it can make calls ?
Hi Des which one is good for GPS and Heart Rate accuracy between Venu 2 and Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS?
Venu 2
It takes some time when picks up jps how I could solve this?
Everytime I flick my watch up it shows the heart rate wrong, maybe by 20 beats at times. Any tips on setting this correctly?
Im buy today this watch
When using the outdoor running tracking, i get heart rate alerts at 165bpm, even when i have it set at 175bpm. I don' t get the 165bpm alert when tracking other activities. Is that normal? Thanks
which maps is that in 7:12 ?
This watch or the pixel watch ??
While there is no snowballs chance in hell im gonna use a chinese products like ticwatch. You still provide good reviews. Hope you do fossil gen 6 and apple watch series 7 in the future.
Thanks! Series 7 coming soon!
can this watch make calls?
will there be a lte version coming soon ?
The LTE version is available in select markets outside the US.
How does this watch integrate with Google Fit? I notice the video shows Ticwatch health apps.
You can download google fit to the watch via the Google Play store, as well as other fitness apps.
What's the difference between this and the normal pro 3?
Durability and a compass
In iphone ok?
Hey Des, thanks for the detailed review ! I have a couple of questions:
Does the TicWatch 3 Ultra have metal inserts into the case at the holes where the strap lugs attach to the case, like Garmin watches with plastic cases have ?
Also, does the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra have any kind of notification indicator on the power-saving screen ?
Thanks !
I can answer your for this because I have the pro 3 wich is kind of the same thing .. și the answer is No and No.
Very fast as always. I just got the update 🥰
👍
is this better than coros pace 2?
As a smartwatch for Android, yes. For fitness or sports, no.
@@DesFit ok ty
Better than ticwatch pro 3 gps?
It has a little more durable build and a compass vs the original TWP3
what is difference with Ticwatch Pro 3?
I read the Ultra was really just a small refresh. It has a new secondary display that produces a splash of color using the backlight. The design of the watch body and the included silicone strap have also been updated.
Salve.
Hi Des, I recently discovered your channel and I really like your reviews. I am looking to get my first ever smart watch with weight lifting fitness tracking but a Garmin. From your reviews, I like that they are durable, have sleep tracking (really important for me right now), I can also get updates and other fitness tracking like cycling. Which one would you advice I get? I also want to use the watch as my daily watch. Noticed you wear the same Garmin in your videos(like this one). What model is it?
If you really want to go for sleep tracking, huawei watches, apple watches, fitbit or pixel watch is the way to go, everything else is really bad at sleep tracking
The ticwatch by far has some of the worst sensors but some of the best battery life and QOL features
Thanks for your work!!!!, ticwatch nnnnnnnnnb!!!
👍
coooooooooooooooool
👍
still no,,,,,, Wear OS 3-------- thks for video
But it runs on wear OS 😢. Not sure how everyone else feels but Garmin and Apple systems just are better for my tastes.
Seems like some folks like everything in one platform while some others like flexibility with apps. I suppose it's nice that there are options for both crowds.
@@DesFit exactly, I prefer separation because there is less to navigate through for work outs. But I see your point. Some like it all together.
i want a heavy smart watch make of full metal
