Hi Mark , I have been using this type of TPMS for years and they work very well and the batteries last about 2-3 years ( Panasonic CR1632 ) Penny type battery. I only paid £20 for mine about 5 years ago and they are still working fine. About £25 now if you buy direct from China instead of off a middle man .
Hi , I read an article "somewhere" that these (or similar) do not give a live reading. they measure the first reading and continue to display the same reading all the time. Unfortunately after i bought and used for many months so return period was up ! Hindsight being a wonderful thing, I can confirm the set I purchased read the same pressure regardless hot day, freeezing day starting off or after a long drive. Did you see your readings fluctuate during a drive, (tyre pressures will increase with heat) ?
Hi Paul with mine I found that if you have the app open in the background on your phone it does do live pressure readings....if the app is closed you open it up but sometimes you have to refresh it to get a current reading...still using it on my triumph Best wishes mark
How long do the batteries last and do you just screw them off to fill up with air when needed too? (Probably obvious, but not to me lol) oh I've had to edit as I was wondering if they fit onto L shaped valves as with my 2023 350 forza! @ 3:50 😂😂 ..... I think checking my tyre pressures from my bedroom comes 100th of 100 things on my list of to do's in my bedroom, just below painting the ceiling.
Anecdotally i was always told to expect a 20% gain on the rear and 10% on the front when hot to gauge if you were at the the optimum cold pressure. What did you get?
I have a system i got from ebay for about 25 quid, not bluetooth but has its own screen you fit to the bars, surprised me how tyre pressures increase when hot, worth having .
Hi ...there is a locknut that you are supposed to use ...but I didn't and it's been fine so no I don't bother with the spanner 🛠️ for top ups Cheers mark
@@calibra1759 no you could still easily unscrew them ...I'd say it's more of a safety feature so they don't undo on their own but mine haven't budged in a 1000 miles Cheers mark
Bought the yellow variant of this on eBay from China and simply did not. To be fair, they are sending me a replacement set. Perhaps I've just been unlucky. Although my yellow ones look slightly different, I suspect they are all made in the same factory. PS your work is brilliant. Keep 'em coming.

Hi rich. Yes just remove to top up tyres .... batteries are replaceable and last approx 1 year ...and yes will fit L valves cheers mark

Hi yes I've known about tyre pressure increase with temperature..... ...I always get about 3/4 psi increase after a moderate ride

Pressure is supposed to go up 20% when tires get warm.
@@aluisious My rear goes from 30 to 36 on the highway, front goes 29 to 32, the rear does all the work so bound to get hotter.
Do you need to use the spanner to top up, if so you would need to carry it with you. Cheers Mark sorry for my ignorance.

I had exactly that thought but no issues at all no vibration at 70 mph ....but I suppose it would benefit to get them checked

Hi the batteries are replaceable and last about a year...the back of the sensor simply unscrews with that little spanner 🔧
