We often see Suikinkutsu in Japanese gardens. Please check it in Japan.

Can't wait to visit Myoshinji in a few months! It's a huge temple complex, it seems. Also your shoes and your sword matches, cool! :O

I stumbled upon your video. Back in 1996 I visited Japan for two weeks. This one of many. What caught my attention was Hatto where the famous painting by Kano Tanyu is located was no longer accessible. I had heard that the painting had deteriorated over time and they were trying to preserve as much of it as possible. When I was visiting, I didn’t think at the time that the brochures with photos of the famous painting would be such a treasure. Yes, I still have them today. I’m happy I held onto them. I love your videos. They bring back happy memories. I’m half Japanese. My great grandparents immigrated to the U.S. around 1900. They were from Hiroshima. ❤

I loved this video. Many places in Japan I won’t visit because problem with foreigner. I only visit Kyoto when necessary to visit family even though I live nearby. Your video is done to perfection so I can feel as though I am actually there. Thank you very much.

Beautiful temple. Beautiful dragon painting. Beautiful zen gardens. No wonder the "Sword Saint" Miyamoto Musashi practiced there. Arigato Sensei. 🙏🐉

Thank you for your comment. The real dragon painting is much more powerful.

@@lastsamuraikyoto Thank you Sensei. Just seen some trailers for the new Shogan film. It looks epic and probably the best Samurai film for the last 20 years.🙏

@@lastsamuraikyoto Sorry Sensei its a TV series called Shogun not a film. Its based on the novel starring Hiroyuki Sanada, and the production looks epic. I've tried to send a link to the trailer but it keeps getting deleted. So just type in Shogun trailer and they will come up. Arigato.🙏

Annamaria : I hope for forgiveness if I say nonsense.
Ryoan's Karesansui is the result of pure philosophical abstraction
which led to a true sublimation of matter: the gravel granules are
a metaphor for the drops of water from the Ocean, the stones are
a symbol for the emerged lands. This transposition of meaning
drags the observer towards the search of essentiality and there-
    fore towards spiritual elevation.
Motonobu, on the contrary, as painter and aesthete, is more sen-
sitive to the beauty of vegetation , therefore his landscape is
less abstract. But not less beautiful

Thank you for watching Deep Japan. Yes. Green relaxing and peaceful gardens and Karesansui style rock garades for Zen meditation. And I think there is one more style. It is Samurai gardens. They are green but they have some kind of strength and power using huge sharp rocks.
