Word itadakimasu is mourning for the creatures, who lost their precious lives for the survival of the Japanese people. On the other hand, Greeks say kali orexi, which means enjoy your meal. Greeks pray to God, but they preach that non human life is not important. They preach that soul does not exist outside of Human. The apple won't fall far from the tree. It's not random, why the Japanese are the most considerate and civilized people in the world nowadays. They have evolved under the unique Shinto religion for thousands of years. Chinese script associates Japan with 倭, which means respectful, submissive, curtsying, peaceful, dwarf. Which means that Ancient Chinese considered the Japanese as completely different from the rest of the world, an alien race.

@@lastsamuraikyoto the pleasure is mine. Native American cultures don't exist anymore, though. The Western world exterminated those cultures. Christianity and Islam devoured those. Japanese is the most civilized culture in the world. Japanese is the Civilization of Purity. The Western world is the Civilization of Narcissism. Narcissists cannot live in the shadow of someone better than them. They are waging smear campaigns against their target. The Western world tried to exterminate Japan in the 17th century too. Thankfully, Shogunate defeated the Crusaders and kicked them out of Japan. Damyo Toyotomi worried about the Western comeback and tried to persuade Koreans let him create a first defense line on Korean peninsula. Koreans denied him though. The Western world is playing the long game of extermination and won't find peace until Japan goes extinct. In the 19th century, the Western world lobotomized Japan and established Global New Order. Nakedness was a virtue in Japan, until Christianity lobotomized Japanese Culture by substituting the mindset of Purity with the ill Christian. America banned males and females sentō social gatherings and after the end of world war banned the worshiping of Emperor as Kami. The Western world is gaslighting every single young generation to feel ashamed of the magnificent Japanese ancestors by using overwhelming emotionalism. The Western world has been obliterating the Japanese Conscience for a very long time. The Western world has demonized Japan by falsifying the Japanese History. You could read my posts on my channel. Feel free to ask me anything you want to ask. Don't hesitate to comment at all. I would be glad to hear your views. Thank you very much 🗾⛩️🇯🇵

Like many people, I came here after seeing Sakamoto portraid wonderfully by actor Massaki Uchino in the tv series, Jin. What a great hero to learn more about. Japan would not be the spectacular nation it is today without his influance, and he only lived to be 31, and still acomplished sooo much.

This garden is located in Takamatsu city, Shikoku island. The fastest way to get to Takamatsu is using the Bullet train, it costs 9650 yen, one way and it takes 2 hours and 11 minutes from Kyoto station to Takamatsu station. If you move around Japan, it may better to buy Japan Rail Pass. It is the pass of the unlimited rides of JR, the national rail. japanrailpass.net/en/

I am do take ocaccionly picture when i visit gardens or castles. But there are these special times where i know there are enough pictures out there and i can be in the moment and even don't talk to anyone and just get one with nature around. This one gave me exact that feeling, and is on the top list when i will visit shikoku. The location of the tea house is very special i can underestand that the emperor stayed 3 days there. I think i had to see it myself i might have not such a special location like the small tea house at 日本寺. That has a view over the sea and some island in the background where the garden ends and nature starts plus there is a small spring or creek within the garden of the tea house so you can hear it when sitting in the tea house enjoying the view.

thank you for this information. I am a history teacher in america. i learned about sakamoto ryoma thru the japanese tv series Jin (JIN-仁-) when I wanted to go more in depth about this time period in Japan. I re-read my university books and surprisingly took a bunch of notes on him, but forgot. i include him now in my unit on Japan. thank you for these locations in Kyoto
