I think that might’ve been what was referenced in the conversation between them at the end of the film. Hunt: “You look good, Niki. The only guy to have his face burned off and it be an improvement.”
One of my favourite scenes. When he told him he was equally responsible for getting him back in the car... The look Niki gave him, he was reborn with an unstoppable drive, James hunt was scared.
Look at them.. they are harsh with each other but you can see that they care in their own unique way they were both disowned they were cut from the same cloth. Niki is a no bullshit guy he wasn't going to sugar coat what happend... but he let James know that he was what got him through the dark time. That was forgiveness... he said we are squared away.
i am not sure it's fear but james definitely felt something from nikki's words.. it's like seeing a pheonix raises from ashes in front of him knowing he's the one be handling that
The movie dramatized their relationship that was very good in reality. But they found two actors that stunningly looked and behaved like Niki Lauda and James Hunt. Great movie!
Whoever did the score for this film is amazing. I really want to see this film because I love Daniel Brühl and his character is very interesting. His character adds a more interesting dynamic to the "hot rod racer gets a humility check" plot. But the score just seems to hit the feels in the perfect way as well.
When Nikki agreed with hunt that he was responsible for putting him in the hospital, it was just as unnerving when he also said he was responsible for putting him back in the race after watching him drive. Either Nikki hated being on the sidelines watching someone else win, or he didn’t want to be second best to hunt. The look he gave was that spirit that came back from a storm waiting impatiently to get back to work
Fun fact: in real life at Monza James joked about Niki looking better after the crash at which Niki laughed
They were good friends irl actually

They were also roommates for some time according to Nikki...
@@JasonAFlintham yeah most likely
Right Jason…
a point displayed in the ending dialogue between the two at the end🤘
If the Academy had proper foresight and gave Daniel Bruhl an Oscar nod, I feel like this is the clip they would have played during the ceremony.
ForceMaximus84 yep, I still can't believe he wasn't nominated. He became Niki Lauda for the movie
CEO He got nominated for a golden globe. If you watch the trailer for Zookeeper's Wife, it says "Golden Globe Nominee".
Oscars have lost value. Its a political statement for a long time now

unseen visitor I’m not sure James Hunt has been scared of anyone or anything, he was too reckless for that and Niki was his friend

James ain’t scared of no one
i am not sure it's fear but james definitely felt something from nikki's words.. it's like seeing a pheonix raises from ashes in front of him knowing he's the one be handling that
lol james wasnt scared, at this moment james hunt had enourmous respect for lauda for coming back after seeing what F1 did to him

Great movie!
Well yeah, it's a movie, not a documentary. It's fine they romanticized some details.
Daniel Brühl performance in this movie was Oscar worthy. Such a very underrated movie. Ron Howard is one of my favorite directors.
"Watching you win all these races while I was fighting for my life, you were equally responsible for getting me back in the car."
tear jerker for sure 😭
i feel sad for niki, he was forced to race even though he didnt want to and paid the price
he didnt HAVE to. he could have just opted out.
He followed through because James was racing. Their rivalry is what got him to race that day.
Study history please
What's worse is that Ferrari tried to replace him before he got to the hospital.
Nobody else crashed

Was Hans Zimmer
Makes perfect sense, and I've listened to the score Lost But Won. It's simply outstanding.
barbaro267 What does Score mean in the movie form?
Score is the music that´s been used.
@@idolrocks9017 the score is the music you hear throughout the movie (besides the songs), the "background music".
Rest in peace Lauda.
That day hunt started to admire lauda as a person
Greatest winners always had greatest rivals on their path.
1:24 - 1:29, the cinematography paired with the dialogue is so well done.
Niki Lauda is one of those subjects really representing the quote "Aura +10000000"
Brühl really nails the „Austrian speaking English“ accent.
One of the best movies of all time
Thor meets Baron Zemo again

Great fucking actor. They say he imbodied the real Niki Lauda. And if thats even half true. That man was a beast and a winner.
If no equal top opponents then it’s not called as racing, it’s better to drive alone in the road.
imagine Niki putting that helmut on with all that....man is superhuman
I see what you did there HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
During the first half of the movie I was kind of bored but this scene changed my entire opinion of the movie
I was equally as bored during the beginning of this film but the film grew on me as it went along
