    Amazon sells these too. I just got a box of 10, and picked up 2 more boxes at Home depot with covers. I had to snap off the top and bottom portion cause to big to fit with cover plates.

    don't know if I can ask questions here. I'm wanting to swap out current light switch with the edge decora. Switch controls hall light and theres another switch at other end of hall for same lights. This switch has Red, Black, White and ground. where do I put white? thanks

      If you only have 4 wires total, then the white is probably line. It should also be marked with black tape if that's the case... but that doesn't always happen.

    I want to switch my bathroom light and vent fan switches with these. They are in the same electrical box. There is only one ground wire though. How would I address that?

      You would need to create a pig-tail connection to each switch. So one ground split into two with some extra wire and a wire nut.

      @@TopHomeowner thanks for replying. This might be out of my wheelhouse as a diyer.lol I’ve scoured google and UA-cam and cannot find a video addressing this issue with the Leviton click switches.

    Hello i have question for you from another video how to know the first Outlet in the room or i change all of them to GFCI thk

    • @TopHomeowner
      @TopHomeowner  Рік тому +1

      It can be tricky to tell. It's usually the receptacle (outlet) closest to the electrical panel on the circuit. One way you can pin this down is to install GFCI on the outlet that you think is the first one, then push the Test button on the GFCI after you turn the breaker in the panel back on. That will disable the power in that GFCI outlet and any other receptacles that are connected to it through the Load terminals. Once it's tripped (Test button), try the other outlets and see if they are disabled too. Hope this helps!

      @@TopHomeownercould this be , not that i would recommend but to gfci that first outlet with breaker off. turn breaker on after install,then trip gfci it, verify no power to others with breaker still on, wire the others knowing power is off with the gfci then pop gfci and your good to go on other outlets?

    12 gauge wire used and lever is not releasing

    • @TopHomeowner
      @TopHomeowner  4 місяці тому

      Sorry to hear it's stuck. You should just be able to raise the lever again (front to back) and remove the wire. I just tried a 12 gauge wire with it in my garage to be sure and it released easily.

      I installed about six Of these, of course, the one I needed to remove to put a box extension for the backsplash is the one that’s stuck, so last night I pulled them all away, and all the other ones released quick and easy. only this one is Super stuck. I cut the wires and changed it. That makes me wonder why it failed to Release.

    😂 America is so far behind most of the world, when it comes to building codes and electrical equipment ‼️
