    Dope rig, I’m happy see other 4th gen owners showing off their budget builds, I added some black TRD rims to my Silver 4th gen and it completely changed the look. Next steps are to upgrade my tires and cop one of these TRD grills you sell. Keep it up bro

    If you lift that thing any higher, I recommend you get a diff drop kit to save your CV axles had to replace mine after I lifted it, boots ripped about 3 months after I lifted it

    Looks great! I’m also thinking about doing that hidden light bar mod, looks great once it’s done.

    I recently went to LED for the inside and outside of ‘08 4Runner sport. The turn signals are blinking fast and I can not find where the spot is to switch or the signal flasher. I’m starting to think it’s behind the fuse box and not one you can swap out!

    Fellow tall guy here - 6’ 6”. How comfy is your ride on long road trips? Looking at a 4th gen as a tow vehicle for camping.

      Usually I can go about 4 hours before I start getting uncomfortable and have to stand up and walk around.

    You said you have 265/70r17 tires and a 2” leveling kit. Any rubbing issues when you turn the steering wheel lock to lock? I’m thinking of doing the exact same setup with mine. Also, did you do a sway bar mount relocation kit?

    I also plan on putting a light bar in the front! Relatively cheap, less than $100 if you buy the cheap stuff! But I love the TRD grill, was it a pain putting on?

    • @trailrunnercustoms
      @trailrunnercustoms  2 роки тому +1

      Awesome! The grille wasn’t very difficult to install at all. I made a video on it. You can view it here

      The grill can be a pain to get off if the hardware is rusted. You pretty much have to destroy everything to get t out. If you have new clean hardware it's easy to install.
      Be careful when removing the hood release rod that connects the hand lever to the hook. It connects to the hand lever via a little plastic insert that gets brittle. Be careful not to break it. But if you follow the video above, the first step was him unbolting the latch so that becomes a non-issue :)
