Change is difficult. It’s a process that can be messy and complicated and painful. In this Second Edition, years after Brian’s first film, his story is still a story of the hope he found in that moment with God where he felt his life begin to change, but it’s also about all the moments after - moments of loss, pain, uncertainty, trust and ultimately, restoration.

I wouldn’t know a Korn song if I heard one, but Brian “Head” Welch’s testimony is one of my very favorites out of all the ones on I Am Second. He is so real and raw and genuine. Love this guy’s heart for his Savior, his daughter, his band and his fans. Awesome dude right here.
Ive known him for over 30 years, he has always had a good heart and has always been a good friend, im so proud of him and how far he has come from darkness and back to light.

I feel the same way about his original testimony! By far up in my top 5. Others are Whispering Danny, Chad Robichaux, the congressman who survived the Pentagon attack on 9/11 & the magician with leukemia.
I have watched all these over & over & over. It’s truly hard to say which one is my favorite.
Man what a testimony. I use to listen to a lot of Korn back in the 90’s I got saved a year earlier from Brian and I remember reading a Blender magazine and seeing a photo of Brian getting Baptized in the Jordan river. I was like, that can’t be Brian Welch of Korn... then yup... it was. I was so blessed reading the article on how it happened. All these years later he is still on fire for Jesus. Keep it up brother, you are a blessing to many others.
Fieldy also came to God from what i heard. Brian said that now they call him Pastor Head and that now they sometimes have prayer before shows
Brian was always the one who drew me into the rock band Korn. Then one random day many years ago I found out he got saved. That was the day I realized why I like the band so much and why he was my favourite member.
He is that tiny light in a sea of darkness that helps to guide the way back home, and with Him you will never be lost again. He will pick you up out of that hole and He will make you whole. God bless Brian.

I so wish the whole band would come to follow Jesus. I've been praying for that for a long time. There is obvious pain in those songs from Jonathan. I started listening to them when they first started out way back when. I got attached to the darkness of what the songs spoke of as I had a lot of darkness in my life. As much as I still have love for them, their sound, their stamina, their strength as they have been thru a lot over the years, I can't allow myself to listen to them anymore. It hurts. It's nothing against them, it's what I have to do to protect myself. Same thing goes for things I used to watch etc. The enemy appears to be alive and well still in Jonathan's life per his lyrics. I tried listening to them for awhile but I could feel the darkness of the music sucking me back in and for my spiritual walk and sake I had to pull back. I pray Brian is able to have a positive impact on them. I prayed once I found out he got back with the band, he wouldn't stray and get sucked back into the dark side of the music industry. Of course I don't know them all individually like Brian does. I can only go off what I see, not what goes on off camera. I know Jonathan lost his wife back in August and I felt bad for him & prayed maybe this was God working trying to reel him in. Only God knows all though as it sounds like she had her struggles too. Anyway, this is interesting this came out and I got a notification. Brian was just in my dreams last night, ha! I miss his solo music and his other band but nothing can beat the sound of Korn...period. Praying they all come to Jesus and get to know him and find comfort finally for all the years of pain they've endured and strength for the trials to come. What an impact they could have on hurting kids and their long standing fans if their lyrics took a different direction. Jesus, I pray you will work thru Brian & Reggie as they have given their lives to you and you will bring the whole band together to make their awesome music still but for you instead. You have given them a gift and I pray they give that gift over to you. I pray their music would glorify you & still be able to impact/lead many of their followers to you! In Jesus name I pray! Amen...

I just stumbled over a video on TBN and he was in it.. I was shocked, praised the Lord.. I’ve always like this group since they first started,,
I heard some Christian people are mocking and saying stuff.. God said. Do not judge or u will be judged… I’m glad he gave his life to Lord , so he can raised his child in better atmosphere, without he drugs and alcohol..
You can be a Christian and rock sane time..idk if his songs are going to be diff , I have seen his solos songs , I do like them..
I also think this will help the teens to come around more maybe give there self to God…. In the generation we have… just POD , Skillet others Christian bands …
Some of these Christian complainer , think if the music is not there liking..God says come as ur are, no matter what u look like God loved everyone……. I do like his testimony.. God bless him n his daughter .

I really am in *AWE* in BHW as A PARENT AND A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST! I got clean years ago around the same time when Brian left Korn and formed his new band LOVE AND DEATH....
He doesn’t follow religion but his *FAITH* in in Jesus Christ. I’ve watch him grow into his way of spreading THE LORDS WORD. He works for Jesus, not a religion.
I adopted a victim of human trafficking and her younger sister as a single mom, while I had my own daughter, trying to clean myself up. The struggle has been huge, but The Lord HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN! He let me fall to reach for *HIM*
That’s what it’s about FAITH AND LOVE....

I've heard and seen so many testimonies of God showing his grace to the hopeless, to the ones immersed in drugs/alcohol/sex/porn or whatever that completely destroys the spirit. But honestly he shows his grace to EVERYONE since we all have sinned and fall short of his glory. No body here on Earth is better than anyone else. But the difference once we receive Jesus is that he purifies us, He makes us righteous and it's our job to tell that to the lost. And we must continue our walk with Him. In everything we do, do it all for the Glory of God!
Brian, I just pray that you continue your relationship for the Lord and don't get swayed by anyone or anything. I hope you do all the swaying for Christ and eventually hopefully one day I find out that all the members of Korn have all been saved. That would be such a wonderful blessing! But either way, stay strong in Christ.
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but yet rather reprove them.
This is a story about love, pure and simple. I feel like my heart grew after watching the documentary.

Following the path of God for you is sometimes different from the normal path of others. I’ve seen Brian several times with “Love and Death”( the Cannery in Nashville on my 50th birthday and Cornerstone in Illinois, both with POD and one other time that slips my mind). Thanks for keeping it real. I pray for you whenever I think about you. Be blessed and follow Jesus. We both know he will never steer us wrong. Peace!

Don't be discouraged by the Haters ...I believe with all my heart you got it right. There's a place for Christian Music Ministry, but I never felt called to make a job out of it and I don't think you do, either. I will continue praying for you and Jon and Munky and Fieldy and Ray.

I love your story. Wish we could hear more about it. Be aware that your real family is in Christ, not Korn. Don't put your trust in them, but only God. Use what God has given you for his Glory.

@@Lucas-wk3nr really? Neat. Korn was one of my favorite bands before I was saved. Pretty much stopped listening to them at that point. Was nice to see Brian leave the band and make his own Christian one. Sad to see that isn't a thing anymore. I pray one day the lead singer Jonathan is saved.

Some may question why you went back to the band after giving your life to GOD but God often puts us back in the environment we come from in order to test us and mainly to shine his light on that environment. Never hide your faith because it will dim your light! People who are recovering drug addicts often go back to the life to help others. Stay strong in your faith and in your walk with God. Dont get pulled back in. Much love and prayers for you brother.

God lifted Brian out, washed him in the blood, filled him with the Holy Spirit, then set him back down, changing what was once his play ground into what is now his mission field! Now Brian has a Godly directive with the divine authority to go along with it. I renewed my commitment to the Lord after hearing Brian's testimony & I'm experiencing the power & revelation again that I let slip away. I'm so happy to sit at the Lord's feet once again! Thank you Jesus!

I love this more than I can express. Religion tells us to run from the world... but Heaven is here. Heaven is already here, and if we want to show people who Jesus is... spread wide and love people. No matter what. Religion tells us to run and stay away from “the evils” but even Christ embraced people regardless of what they did. Because what you do is not who you are. Brian has such a good heart. He’s living in love and relationship with God and reaching THOUSANDS. It’s so awesome! God can be limited through the church... denominations have separated us from believing in who God truly is. But His love breaches all walls and we have to let that in and let religion die to see that living in relationship with God is more than just reading your Bible, going to church on Sunday, more than everything we’ve been taught! If it’s not too good to be true... it’s not God. He came to give us life and life abundantly - and we have it! Let’s start living it! Stop trying to earn it! It’s already yours! He gave it because He LOVES US! Stop living in an old dead covenant! Live in Jesus! Because in Him, we are FREE! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I see alot if mylsef in Brian. Not meaning that in a stuck up type of way, just the struggle and love for metal and rock. I've been in some pretty dark and lonely places mentally, and I always use metal to cope. I hope the rest of Korn turn to Christ. Keep praying for them guys.

God is NOT a DJ, he's actually a Korn fanboy but don't tell anybody. 😁 Brian is a great guy, besides being an awesome musician, and I can totally relate to him, because he's so humble and authentic, which spreads out of every pore of his being. He also has this "bad-ass-thing" going on, while playing guitar and I love that, too. His story on his way to receiving Christ also touched me on a very deep level, as it was least expected for him to ever find salvation, due to his enormous drug abuse. His daughter finally saved him and who knows where he 'd be without her, today?
I remember reading to separate from the world many times but I never read about separating from the world for newborns and then going back into a music industry that antiGod. My guess is that the industry will influence him more than he will influence fans to come out from the world and be separate. I just see this as rationalizing and spiritualizing carnal desires.....but having said all of that, I do wish him the best. I loved the first IAMSECOND video he did.....this one concerns me a bit
He’s been back on the band for years now and going strong ever since, so yeah... Jesus made us light for a reason. Not to hide in our churches in fear of being stained by the world but be the light in the darkness.
I understand what you are saying but if God's purpose was for this man to speak the word in this environment then so be it. I'm not a fan at all of the music, but if God's conviction falls on Brian's heart and needs to do this to share the message. Then so be it, remember the lost sheep the Lord left the 99 just for me. Let the holy spirit be his guide and share his testimony to help lost souls.
I understand the concern for Brian as a believer but from reading his book(s) & understanding what he chooses to allow in his life- his anchor is Christ & he has his new spiritual Christian family to support him & lift him up. If he had rejoined Korn too soon(I believe he left for 7+ years or so) & unplugged from his church family, I could see him falling back into the world. To his credit he understands what many of us in the church do not- that being salt in a salt shaker is useless. It will only make a difference when it gets used out of the shaker. That will mean different things for all of us in Christ as to where we need to be but I thank God that he is using Brain(& bassist Fieldy) in Korn as witness to God’s transforming power. 🙏🏼 God bless

This is a great verse and tells us so much. But i dont think it meens anything towards what brian is doing here or atleast seems like he is doing( being only God truly knows) and we are no judge... the loving the world part is loving the world being arounds friends you have that are non believers? For sure its not we are called to follow Christ to do as He did right? Well He didnt avoid non believers actually He took the news to them...just like we are suppost too and loving them isn't bad...Jesus loves them He just hates there sin denial to know Him...but we are to build our selves up in Christ... (or charge up our light and head out into the dark to be a light to show others the way...) plenty of verses showing this. What would be worse if he never was around his old friends from the world and just forgot about them...but im sure he is how i am...broken hearted that my old friends are gonna be separated from the creator of the heavens and earth for eternity...
Not to sound meen or rude or anything but we are all called to step out in faith and share the good news of Christ...snd sometimes the biggest proof is the testimony we have brians testimony for us who watch it is great but imagine the power of knowing that person for years before and then bam...complete different person...this happens all threw the bible testimonies that change people look at pauls testimony... and hearing how brsin said it...that's God working he didn't go right back to chillin with the homies he step away grew closer and closer to God learning and strengthening... not saying its gonna be easy for him just depends...but we need to all be praying for him lifting him up...not giving him verses out of context to cause dought and give the enemy and way in

This is a man that has documented his faith and it's powerful. Look at Kanye, fake. Head, real. Hallelujah! Bring the light of Christ into this world where a band is singing about pain. Powerful. Thank you Jesus.
I think of Brian, Fieldy, Anne Rice, etc. and all I can think is God is reaching for Jonathan.. Because God does mind and wants to give him the life.
I think the fact that he still stands for Jesus and uses his position to share the Gospel IS what God is calling him to do. It is not our place to question God's plan. He is exposing his many fans to Jesus that never would have given any thought to God if it were not for his transformation. We as Christians have got to stop judging others(because that is God's job not ours) our job is to do what God calls each of us to do.
I understand that it was emotional for him to play with Korn again,
but how does he know the enemy wasn't crushing him with immense feels.
Make the singer cry. Make the crowd cry. And then put all this weight on him,
if you don't come back to Korn, you're the kill joy robbing the fans.
In the past Brian said, "I could never go back to Korn, that would be going backwards".
Don't get me wrong, I understand the pull and few people could withstand it.
I DO worry though that he's been manipulated by the enemy back into Korn,
and now after the fact is trying to justify it by talking about God restoring all things and following God back into Korn.
"He restores us in a way that is unique for us" and also one thing, he's doing his own ministry by God's grace, and how can he reach out to people that he knows that need God? It could be God's plan for him that He put him there, He knows he could. Just pray for him.
The Bible also speaks about leaving your old life and not turning back. Not leave you old life and go back after a few years.

crazy to think how many "unreached" people that would NEVER go to a church you have had the chance to preach to and reach out to since you joined back up with Korn, not to mention getting to live out Christianity in front of the guys in Korn. You are doing an awesome work Head. Keep it up brother!
Hmm so he had no affiliation with god while times were terrible for him. Then rejoins korn and finds some direction and thinks god did it for him....where was your faith while times were bad?
Did you see his first film? He was at rock bottom and his belief that God could save him got him clean. A lot of comments seem to doubt the power of God.
