its an human expression to try and articulate the Love of God that is beyond what we are capable or willing to give unto others. bless you

I’ve been learning that just because a “christian” writes a song doesnt mean its “christian” just like lauren daigle is just an artist now not a christian artist and she supports billie ellish and lgbtq.
@2phreshkru the idea of a shepherd leaving his safe 99 sheep to go and rescue the 1 lost sheep. If a real shepherd did that, he would be reckless.

Obviously we all agree Gods love is perfect, not reckless. But as poetry goes, it’s an expression that Gods love is so radical that even though we betray him over and over again, he would still leave the 99 to go after us.

The idea of reckless isn’t about God or His love for us. It’s actually the fact that we can’t fathom how Perfect God is in every way and yet died for us filthy sinners who were once His enemies. He didn’t die for us after we said yes to Him. In died despite of!!!! And in our finite minds we cannot comprehend just how big, how wide, how deep the Love of Abba is for us that we call it reckless. Because who do you call an enemy and yet die for them so they could be saved? For me to give my life for my enemies life would be considered reckless in our minds. But GOD!!!! Thank you Jesus, I hope this brought clarity. I pray that Holy Spirit may continue to give us His wisdom and knowledge so we can have a deeper relationship with Him. God bless you!

its just poetic imagery to convey a point. If it were us to leave the 99 for 1...most would consider that to be "reckless" or not wise...of course God is not reckless ..its just highlighting the fact that His ways are not our ways. blessings
@@cathedralworship3609this is exactly right… why leave the 99 good ones… why leave the saved and safe… to go after the one? But God goes after the lost… then he uses some of the people with the worst backgrounds and stories to accomplish the most!!!! Look at Paul… the man who murdered Christians and hunted followers of “the way”… he became a prominent writer of the Bible in your home… it’s a way of conveying that God dosnt look at your deeds or who you are but what he can do through you with a willing heart.
What God does for us, by giving up his only son for our sins, in human imagery is reckless. What do we give up ?!? Jesus gave up everything for us. It's totally reckless. But absolutely beautiful!!
God’s love leads us into seasons of life that would seem reckless to the world. God is not, and never has been, reckless. There was a lamb slain before the foundation of the world.
God is a God of order and plans and foresight from one end of eternity to another.
The world thinks it’s reckless when they see it from the outside. We trade everything for a life of faith. To the unsaved that seems reckless.
To the saved it feels like peace beyond understanding or description.
