I wasn't expecting story 1 to be such an inspiring tale of someone nearly becoming homeless due to losing their job and having a useless immediate family, and staying in a camper by their work to eventually get a house. Truly rags to riches.
I honestly have no idea weather to be amazed at the op sticking up for himself in the first story or absolutely in shock at the entitled family for doing something like trying to claim his house.
story 1 -OP should definitely press criminal charges against his brother, sister in law, and parents, if they take any measures to take over the house. These are the kind of people who will not desist unless stopped.
In update 1 he pressed for a restraining order and it went through. And in update 2: THEY LITERALLY BROKE INTO HIS HOUSE AND SQUATTED IN HIS HOME WHILE HE WAS AWAY. Literally leaving all their break in tools on the porch. Cops got involved and they were automatically charged with breaking and entering.
Its awesome that his employer set him up in the lot where company security guards his camper while hes away from it. Absolutely not a jerk. This man worked hard to break free of these toxic family members. He owes them nothing
The sad part is interactions like story 2 happen far too often. Honestly half of the time the people making those assumptions are in the medical field. I have a fairly serious nerve disfunction where I’m in high levels of pain 24/7, I see specialists who are experts in their field. Those specialist give me prescriptions and the second I walk into a hospital I’m told that I don’t have the diagnosises and my personal favorite, I’m drug seeking. I was in the hospital with meningitis and had a nurse refuse the pain meds ordered because he didn’t believe that I had an at home prescription for that same med by mouth. It’s like if you aren’t bleeding out or missing limbs you obviously can’t be disabled or in pain
Had that issue, pinched nerve from a disc in y spin after a car crash, if you’re younger and it’s not visible they label you a junkie right off. Bunch of scumbags. I wanted to tell them so bad “look if I wanted to go get high I have 6 different people I could call up right now and get harder stuff than what you could prescribe and for cheaper than this out of pocket doctor visit” Having to struggle with that while over hearing some old lady who get prescribed every type of hard core narcotic under the sun for her mild issues was the icing on the cake for me. These older folk caused the pill abuse pandemic and young people get to suffer for it. Had the same issues when I had a vitamin D count of 7 and ptsd from a car crash and a mugging years prior to that too and asked for Xanax or volume to help with my nerves/sleep while I got the issues fixed.
I've had a few issues like that like having severe back pain or even with my asthma. A teacher accused me of faking my asthma because I was able to run without dying- Bruh I used the inhaler before and after running because that's how it was meant to be used as told by my doctor. And the same went for severe back pain. I told my grandma that I couldn't babysit my brother because of my back, which I'd injured a week prior to that conversation, and she told me I was quote "Too young to have back pain" I do fricken' martial arts!! I get injured all the time! I'm not faking my pain for attention, I'm just in pain and can't work until the pain either gets better or fully goes away depending on the injury! People are just so rude and assume everything!!
Op doesn't owe his family squat, and I'm glad he put them in their place. It's not about being single or having kids, it's the effort he put into owning this house. His family turned their backs on him, they made a mockery of what little he had and on top of it all basically treated him like the black sheep. I'm surprised he didn't call the cops right then, because I would've gotten a restraining order against this guy's family.
Saw title and had to listen to it. My move: call lawyer, police and get restraining orders for them.Never allow them in your space/in your face. Press charges/sue them for emotional distress, stalking, verbal abusive/assault, etc. Hope you made out OK!!!
I can relate to the second story. A lot of people (including my "mother") refuse to believe that I have a bad back and a bad left knee. One doctor told me that it was so bad that I'd be wheelchair bound by the age of 20. Six years later, I'm still going. I have a lot of chronic pain, but I deal with it the best I can.
That last story the classic example of when you assume you make an ass out of yourself. He thought she was right about the assumption that she was making only be proven wrong and to made a fool of.
For once a karen apologized and stopped after being proven wrong bcus most Karen's don't stop after being proven wrong and usually get escorted out by security or plain kicked out or banned
I absolutely sympathize with you, its absolutely ridiculous that your parents treat you this way. You don't need anyone, just break all contacts with them and NEVER HELP THEM EVEN IF THEY ARE DYING. Then they would understand the pain
i would have just told them "well considering how you did not let me stay because my camper was an eyesore, i will not let you stay because all of you are a gigantic eyesore for me"
Ridiculous enough, I have seen this happen exactly one too many times in my life. I promised myself that I will never let myself get mistreated like that. My mother spoke on behalf of my enemy instead of me, and we haven't spoken since.
A friend of mine had this to happen with some cousins and his main family, and last i checked, he socked 2 of the cousins hard enough to knock them out for 28 hours and had them arrested for trespassing, assault, and attempted murder somehow, in the end they were locked up for 2 or 3 years
Absolutely insane. I've seen people act like this so I believe it, but it's absolutely crazy. How OP didn't go no contact from the start is a mystery. People, if your family treats you with no respect, cut them out completely. No halfsies. You will regret it.
The second-story I'm surprised how the Karen reacted after she was proven wrong, I expected her to start screaming and yelling and trying to make it seem like she was right. 👍
Story 1: that family is actually psychotic. “You don’t deserve this house!” What?! Dude was homeless, made due with scraps for months on end, found a job, proved himself, and finally saved the money to get an actual house, and you say he didn’t deserve it? They treat this man like a glorified slave
I’ve listened to this story so many times, but somehow never get old of it. At least the OP is happier without his family. I hope he found the happiness he needed in life
Here's a tip for anyone living camper or van life. Hit a truck stop particularly Love's, ask a trucker if they have a "spare shower" on their rewards card. Usually we have more than we can use, most of the time I personally have unlimited showers and will happily "buy" a shower for people that need it.
The guy who posted his story has so much patience I would literally call the police if this happened like who do you think you are?! Am I right or wrong?
Dude in first few parts of story one it said that the dad forced the kid to pay rent that equals to an apartment but then later into the story the brother thought he shouldn’t pay rent because he’s “family” and family doesn’t make family pay rent.
I hear people say all the time “having kids is the most fulfilling experience” Having a car that doesn’t have any crumbs in it…that’s pretty fulfilling. Besides, it sounds to me the brother doesn’t even deserve the ground he walks on, nor the children he already has…him and the wife definitely deserve each other though
My dad, Jerkface, Jerkface's wife, & my mom held a meeting about my divorce. And what they were thinking of doing. My mom was against me moving back home. To the point those three were calling her names like unnatural mother. Those three were thinking of going to my home to figuratively and literally frogmarch me out of my own home and back into my old bedroom. I hate to think of the plans they had for my cats. It is due to them and other 'family meetings' I have troubles with. They don't allow the one that they are planning on messing up their life to talk as well. In fact many meetings like what my family did, happens behind their victim's back.
Can we just talk about in the first story how the parents wanted to keep up appearances around others but were so happy that the son moved out to couch surf before he had already graduated high school? If I was one of the relative I personally would see that they never changed from their ways if their son would rather not know if he could sleep somewhere then live with them.
In this situation I would say, "Oh mom... I am doing exactly what you guys have done to me... when I went for help, you guys gave me 2 options, to pay an absolute ludicrous rent, or the door. I am giving you exactly the same. You can buy the house from me, and use it as you will, and is yours and the banks problems, or get to the door and don't come back. Have a good day"
That first story is absolutely insane. I've cut contact with my aunt just for her demanding a 500$ bonus over my dad from the inheritance (To this day I have no idea why she wanted that. She got almost 100k but for some reason wanted those 500 bucks extra even though there had been a clear understanding not to fight over the inheritance and just split it exactly in half. I guess it was some sort of symbolic victory she was going for). I don't know how I would react to that type of shit.
1. Is there a way to punch someone magically through the screen because that sister in law seems like she definitely needs one and recalibrate her morals 2. The clerk is amazing and I can actually totally relate to this story because I have hemiplegic migraines and possibly rheumatoid arthritis gotta do the tests first but I’m in severe pain pretty much everyday with symptoms that are like seizures and paralysis and A LOT of people assume I’m faking it including my family but my mom is the only one who’s never said that (love her❤)
Last story...I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my teens as well. Had to replace a hip before I turned 50. Arthroscopic surgery on one knee in my mid 30s. Not fun. I hate when the weather changes, too.
That last story reminds me of an incident that happened when I was 14. Came off a friend's scooter near the skatepark, took about 1-2 millimetres of skin off my knee and had severe bruising on my right shoulder, plus several other scrapes from skidding almost 3 metres on concrete before actually reaching the grass next to it. Couldn't walk properly for over a month, was given special permission by the school to self-medicate when I needed painkillers, and had one of my PE teachers basically tell me to "stop faking it" because I had a doctor's note preventing me from doing strenuous activities until my injuries were healed. She apparently didn't like that I had an "excuse" to sit down. I just shrugged and took the bandage on my knee off, to showed her the tennis ball sized scab that had cracked open and started bleeding again because I walked up and down a flight of stairs for my previous class. She already didn't like me, but I think that was the incident that made her actively start hating me. Mostly because our other teacher saw my knee and he had a mild panic while asking someone to help walk me to the admin building to get ice and sit in the sick bay until the bleeding stopped, so she physically couldn't do anything about making me stay.
If I was in the first story, I would just say: “OH HELL NAW, YOU THINKING I WOULD GIVE THIS HOUSE TO YOU?! NO! YOU’VE BEEN TREATING ME BAD AS HELL. IM CALLING THE COPS ON ALL OF YOU SONS OF A-“
I'm 47 and have osteoarthritis also. My knees have degenerated to the point that I can barely walk across the house, forget taking a walk around the neighborhood or going hiking in the woods. Every step is pain, laying down is pain, sitting too long is pain. I live in constant pain. I need both knees replaced and my Dr and I are fighting my insurance because 'I'm too young to need knee replacements'. I've heard many comments on how I just need to get off my fata** and walk when using a stores electric shopping carts. First my body turns on me and then ignorant people humiliate me over something I have no control over. It's horrible to deal with.
Despite being arguably the least horrific of the bunch, that last story hits really close to home for me. I have bilateral patello-femoral osteoarthritis, which means I have what OP does in both of my knees. I'm lucky that I don't have it as bad as the OP, but I have yet to find a pain med that reduces my pain at all, and I have been walking with a cane for the last three years. I'm 28. I constantly worry that someone is going to accuse me of faking because I'm so young. I've missed work because of my pain many times. If you see someone with a mobility aid, please mind your own business. Don't ask them what's wrong with them as that is uncomfortable and rude. Don't call them a faker because they can go short periods or distances, or even a day or two, without needing it. Don't call them a faker because they're "too young" to have that kind of an issue. I would love nothing more than to be treated no different from the people around me.
If it was me I would have laughed at them like how they did OP for living in the camper and calling him Homeless. And said to the parents you may have birthed me but you don't own me
Story 1: My cousins step dad actually had to do something similar when he had no where to stay. He basically turned his car into a fricken house! It had a huge bed inside, food storage, drinks, etc. He Apparently liked to travel and he traveled across the entire country. But it does not seem like it was as good of a experience for this guy as for my cousins step dad.
The parents are really crazy to think they could make their good son do as they say as if he's a child did they forget how crappie they treated this young man. Iam so glad he stood up for himself I pray he's living a good life in his new house . 🙏 from California
Is it weird that I think the most appalling part of this is that they just expected him to give up the house he payed for. Go back to living in his camper and not be allowed to come in whenever he wants. Granted I also think it’s appalling that they didn’t provide him the same kindness when he was jobless and living in the camper
I honestly feel so bad that the OP from the first story had to deal with all that, If I ever meet with him IRL I'm just gonna give him a hug and congratulate him for all he has achieved. I do not know he nice or polite he is, but I can assure he is a good human being.
I’ve listened to this story more than any of the others and I still can’t comprehend why anyone would try and just take from their sibling like this. Also I recon that if he did let them stay in the house and live in the camper, they’d all be laughing at him like he’s a bum. Which honestly sickens me
The company got a really good bargain. He gets to work overtime, and the company gets to let him sleep in his camper on company grounds. It's grand on that idea, so he got a good one. Plus, some of the money goes to rent anyways, so they get to subtract it from payments and the OP was actually happy since the same job is technically his landlord till, he moved out, and he worked hard for it. Another benefit is that the security and janitors know him well, thus resulting in positive relations.
You are the reason There is panda express because you are like a panda( not caring for anyone who was/is mean to you) and you express comebacks just like a legend.
It looks like the sister in law has the same "I want things handed to me" personality like the brother, plus the OP had a reason to get the house and it was a good one;which was he didn't want to be without a place to live. The parents were nuts to try to play the sibling card despite the family history and the "you got one week to come to your senses" line is obvious code for"you got one week to knuckle to our demands or else"
I don't understand how parents can treat one child so horribly. I have 4 sons, who I raised alone after leaving my ex husband, their father at 22 with 4 sons 3yrs and younger due to DV. I missed out on so much of their childhoods, but I refused my sons to end up living homeless, or having food insecurity, home insecurity and not having what they needed. Thank goodness I had a younger sister who could sleep at my house. I worked 96hrs a WEEK because my ex husband left the country to avoid child support, so it was just me. When they all became legal adults, I never told them they had to move out, but I told them all the same thing. Either you went to college and got a part time job, and saved your money, or if they didn't want to pursue college they could still live with me, and save their money. But, they had to prove that they were saving their money and not just blowing it all on material items. Luckily, my sons saw how hard I had to work to provide for them and they're all pretty much savers. My youngest son bought his own home almost a year ago at the age of 21, my oldest son is about to start his own business. My twins have families and seem to be happy, and they know that if anything happens they can all come home, because 💩 happens. The only way I can ever see myself not allowing one of them to come back is if they turned into violent criminals. I'm so proud of OP busting his ass and giving them the finger. I know the chances of him seeing this are slim to none, but if you do. I'm proud of you. If no one else has ever said, just know some random boy mom is proud of the man you became, especially when you didn't have anyone supporting you financially, emotionally or mentally. It's not easy.. I hope you have your own family now, or a serious GF. Create your own family. Family isn't about blood, or genetics, it's about love.. period..
Story 1 should have ended with this. Entitled brats: "Give your house to us," OP: "No," Entitled brats: "Why not?!" OP: "Because I said no," If this doesn't work, simply point out the fact that your parents are more than welcome to surrender their own house to the Entitled brats for the same BS "reasons" that have been pointed out to you. And that it shouldn't be such an outlandish suggestion if they're so adamant to take OPs house for the same reasons. After that, you firmly booted their asses out the front door and go poor yourself a beer 🍺
Story one had another update. If I remember correctly OP actually got a restraining order but chose not to press charges due to not wanting the kids to be put in foster care. I like how the boss in story 1 helped OP massively
That was pretty awesome.
story 1 -OP should definitely press criminal charges against his brother, sister in law, and parents, if they take any measures to take over the house. These are the kind of people who will not desist unless stopped.
He did but he didn’t want to separate the kids. Good on him because I would have annihilated that family.
Why stop there there? Sue. Sue the brother, Sue the parents.
Who’s OP

That first story made me so mad. Hope he cuts ties completely with all of those jerks.
See I would have got some friends over and roughed him up.
A true sentence
All kids deserve parents but
Not all parents deserve kids
I wanted to tell them so bad “look if I wanted to go get high I have 6 different people I could call up right now and get harder stuff than what you could prescribe and for cheaper than this out of pocket doctor visit”
Having to struggle with that while over hearing some old lady who get prescribed every type of hard core narcotic under the sun for her mild issues was the icing on the cake for me.
I told my grandma that I couldn't babysit my brother because of my back, which I'd injured a week prior to that conversation, and she told me I was quote "Too young to have back pain"
I do fricken' martial arts!!
The first story: I would’ve simply said “you didn’t care about me living in a camper, so I don’t care about you.”
Good for them for standing up for themselves that’s what you should do in this situation good for them.
Saw title and had to listen to it. My move: call lawyer, police and get restraining orders for them.Never allow them in your space/in your face. Press charges/sue them for emotional distress,
stalking, verbal abusive/assault, etc. Hope you made out OK!!!
Big brain move
I can relate to the second story. A lot of people (including my "mother") refuse to believe that I have a bad back and a bad left knee. One doctor told me that it was so bad that I'd be wheelchair bound by the age of 20. Six years later, I'm still going. I have a lot of chronic pain, but I deal with it the best I can.
“Hahaha! You live in a camper!”
“At least I don’t live in my parents house still.”
when the boss has a better attitude than your parents 💀
Good job OP you relieved peer pressure from your own family 👏👏👏👏👏
That last story the classic example of when you assume you make an ass out of yourself. He thought she was right about the assumption that she was making only be proven wrong and to made a fool of.
For once a karen apologized and stopped after being proven wrong bcus most Karen's don't stop after being proven wrong and usually get escorted out by security or plain kicked out or banned
I absolutely sympathize with you, its absolutely ridiculous that your parents treat you this way. You don't need anyone, just break all contacts with them and NEVER HELP THEM EVEN IF THEY ARE DYING. Then they would understand the pain
What lesson do we all learn from
Story no. 1? Don’t ever answer your door. Just ninja crawl around and pretend no one is home.
i would have just told them "well considering how you did not let me stay because my camper was an eyesore, i will not let you stay because all of you are a gigantic eyesore for me"
Nice story, good job standing up for yourself.
The boss in story 1 was absolutely amazing! I really do want to give that guy a hug tho!
2hours ago wow
Ridiculous enough, I have seen this happen exactly one too many times in my life. I promised myself that I will never let myself get mistreated like that. My mother spoke on behalf of my enemy instead of me, and we haven't spoken since.
A friend of mine had this to happen with some cousins and his main family, and last i checked, he socked 2 of the cousins hard enough to knock them out for 28 hours and had them arrested for trespassing, assault, and attempted murder somehow, in the end they were locked up for 2 or 3 years
Good! I'm glad he responded appropriately to the situation. This is how it should be done. Bravo 👏 👏 8
Absolutely insane. I've seen people act like this so I believe it, but it's absolutely crazy.
How OP didn't go no contact from the start is a mystery.
People, if your family treats you with no respect, cut them out completely. No halfsies. You will regret it.
Yeah exactly
The second-story I'm surprised how the Karen reacted after she was proven wrong, I expected her to start screaming and yelling and trying to make it seem like she was right.
👍
Story 1: that family is actually psychotic. “You don’t deserve this house!” What?! Dude was homeless, made due with scraps for months on end, found a job, proved himself, and finally saved the money to get an actual house, and you say he didn’t deserve it? They treat this man like a glorified slave
Some people rarely see past their own nose. Just an old saying.
The boss at 7:40 is a great man who helped you out by just asking that you take one extra day of work free to park your camper. Props
This guy in story 1 NEEDS a restraining order, a police report, and a pro bono lawyer
and some cameras as the cherry on top, in case they try anything illegal in the op's property.
@@Charles-7 agreed! I totally forgot to mention cameras! I
There's a lot more to story 1. I forget what happened, I'm sure you can find it in other comments, but it got worse.
I’ve listened to this story so many times, but somehow never get old of it. At least the OP is happier without his family. I hope he found the happiness he needed in life
Wow. Audacity must've been on sale because OPs family sure had a LOT of it. I can't believe people act like that. How dare they?!? 😳
I hear people say all the time “having kids is the most fulfilling experience”
Having a car that doesn’t have any crumbs in it…that’s pretty fulfilling.
Can this have a million likes this video is amazing and entertaining! 0:48
The DO IT FOR DAN is iconic
😂
Ikr
Can we just talk about in the first story how the parents wanted to keep up appearances around others but were so happy that the son moved out to couch surf before he had already graduated high school? If I was one of the relative I personally would see that they never changed from their ways if their son would rather not know if he could sleep somewhere then live with them.
I feel that the main reason Dan is having kids is to try to guilt trip the op to give him the house
You have the right to self defense so if trespassers refuse to leave I believe you may be able to legally attack them
Yes 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🔥 🔥🔥
True
1 restraining order
2 cut all contacts
3 have a self defense weapon
1. Is there a way to punch someone magically through the screen because that sister in law seems like she definitely needs one and recalibrate her morals
2. The clerk is amazing and I can actually totally relate to this story because I have hemiplegic migraines and possibly rheumatoid arthritis gotta do the tests first but I’m in severe pain pretty much everyday with symptoms that are like seizures and paralysis and A LOT of people assume I’m faking it including my family but my mom is the only one who’s never said that (love her❤)
On the first story, op ABSOLUTELY NOT give in to these DISGUSTING people. You stand your ground, it's your place and NO ONE ELSE'S.
Last story...I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my teens as well. Had to replace a hip before I turned 50. Arthroscopic surgery on one knee in my mid 30s. Not fun. I hate when the weather changes, too.
Story 1, I dont believe that people like this exist, and yet im always proven wrong
“How entitled do you have to be to go in somebody’s house?”
The clerk: 😎😌💯
Honestly, people like this deserve everything coming to them. It is just shocking that this happens constantly. It is shameful.
It’s good how he still could live well
Sorta
Second story: Simply put, when people hear hooves they think "horse" and not "zebra." This lasy hears hooves and thinks "platypus."
If it was me I would have laughed at them like how they did OP for living in the camper and calling him Homeless. And said to the parents you may have birthed me but you don't own me
“I was angrier then a bull the has steroids that got stung by a hornet.” Bro sounded like sandy from SpongeBob 💀
You forgot to mention how they were charging him rent, yet when he mentioned charging rent "is family you can't do that"
this first story has a lot more to it, like the family actually breaks in and moves in their stuff so idk why the rest of it isn't here
Say what, please tell me he pressed charges against them
@@manufran02 he didnt press charges, but rather got a restraining order.
The parents are really crazy to think they could make their good son do as they say as if he's a child did they forget how crappie they treated this young man. Iam so glad he stood up for himself I pray he's living a good life in his new house . 🙏 from California
This is why they make the 2nd amendment
😂that the right to bear arms I mean they did go on to his property but that doesn’t mean to shoot them maybe
"Madder than a bull on steroids that just got stung by a hornet" that has to be the best description of the highest level of fury I ever seen
Can’t wait to watch
I like how you go straight to the story, not like other channels where they tell the storys last.
I'm starting to get convinced Am I The Jerk? is secretly a hyper-realistic Text to Speech voice.
Same Problems,Different Karens
Is it weird that I think the most appalling part of this is that they just expected him to give up the house he payed for. Go back to living in his camper and not be allowed to come in whenever he wants. Granted I also think it’s appalling that they didn’t provide him the same kindness when he was jobless and living in the camper
At the very least the Karen in story 2 apologized, nearly no Karen ever does it. W Karen for that
The first story made me so angry for the guy. He should've disowned them after they kicked him out and call cops as soon as they entered uhs house
The uncle must be flaming he can't help the dude bcuz he's 150 miles away
No contact, period. Restraining order and file charges. It's about time they take what they dish out.
I have heard this story and all it's updates like a dozen times now. What an absolutely bonkers story.
Which honestly sickens me
The rage I felt listening to this. Mannnnn When i say Id help OP kick their ass lmfao
Let's go. Bro decided he had enough of that bullshit. Good job. Nothing but respect coming from me
Such a terrible family . . .
I can feel the arthritis pain story because my mom has it for a looooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg
If they went to jail, they would have a nice free home for a couple years
But that clerk is a giga
Bro that waiter dude is a living W for giving the OP a gift card😎
2:00 parents: suck it up
me:💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I keep coming back to this story because I know just… how fucked it truly is.
You are the reason
There is panda express because you are like a panda( not caring for anyone who was/is mean to you) and you express comebacks just like a legend.
It looks like the sister in law has the same "I want things handed to me" personality like the brother, plus the OP had a reason to get the house and it was a good one;which was he didn't want to be without a place to live. The parents were nuts to try to play the sibling card despite the family history and the "you got one week to come to your senses" line is obvious code for"you got one week to knuckle to our demands or else"
thanks for uploading cus the channel i usually watch aint uploaded in 4 days
Entitled brats: "Give your house to us,"
OP: "No,"
Entitled brats: "Why not?!"
OP: "Because I said no,"
If this doesn't work, simply point out the fact that your parents are more than welcome to surrender their own house to the Entitled brats for the same BS "reasons" that have been pointed out to you. And that it shouldn't be such an outlandish suggestion if they're so adamant to take OPs house for the same reasons. After that, you firmly booted their asses out the front door and go poor yourself a beer 🍺
I have offered them to pay off my mortgage. They want my house, pay the mortgage.
