OMG thank you. I was ready to return my Pixel 5 because I HATE gesture navigation and you showed me how to restore 3-button navigation. You have saved me!
Thank you, Kevin, I received a Pixel 5 for Christmas and was concerned it was too much phone for me. After watching your video I feel so much better about it!
Same!!!! I've had this phone for 3 months, I flipping couldn't stand the gesture feature. Half the time I accidently went back when I didn't want to, completely by accident. Ugh. So thankful for that infor
I wish I could swap the order of the 3 bottom buttons to have the back button on the right side, and I REALLY wish I could get rid of the giant Google search bar that's invading my home screen, it's so bad
Thank you I am a new Pixel owner switched from Samsung I get very frustrated and this video helped me out A LOT! It would be nice if you talked a little slower (For us older folk) but yes I learned alot.
I'm not a fan of these on board keyboards where you have to toggle in order to access punctuation. No wonder people just don't bother anymore. That's why I always download Swiftkey, which has long press number/punctuation options on the main keyboard. It came as standard on my last Sony phone, but I immediately downloaded it onto my present Samsung.
On the default google keyboard if you hold down the period all the punctuation options pop up. Similarly if you hold down any letter on the top row of the keyboard the number it corresponds to pops up. I think it's much quicker than going to the other screen :)
Thamk you for mentioning that 3 button option, I had a hard time getting out of the camera before - would you know how to temporarily disable Talkback just by tapping?
Thank you! Some parts were really helpful. 🙂 Is there any possibility to organize the apps in folders within the „all apps“ area? If I try to group them in folders I constantly lands on the start screen. 😞
I love my pixel, but my god why does the clock need to display the date? The phone displays the date and weather independently from the clock but you can't seem to remove it from the clock. Hate it.
I do miss the pixel4xl one button screen shot. It use to be just hold down the power button and the menu would pop up the side of the screen to power off, reset, screenshot
hmm just got the pixel 5 my dude thankful for the vid but wondering how the heck did you get the camera to pop up it always puts it on lock XD do i need an app that as a cam function not sure if you said that lol altho i don't really care much in using the camera so not really that big a deal
Swipe fingerprint for the notifications? Hum. I can pull down on the screen anywhere to do that with the Nova Launcher. I'll probably keep it on the Pixel.
@@painthenhope nope not at all, my 12GB RAM Note 20 Ultra still lagged more than my Pixel 4. Pictures were also not as good as my Pixel 4. Plus the bloatware is still ridiculous on Samsung phones, One UI is also atrocious. When I first got the phone my average ram usage was around 4GB, a month later I'm averaging 6GB. Screen was nice but that really was about it. I want a phone to just work, I don't want to have to go to the Galaxy store to update my camera app that blemishes out my face anyways. I'm just happy I technically only paid 300 for it with all the promos they have going on.
So just bought the pixel 5.. I had a better $50 phone.. speakers are really bad, I can't even hear it properly in calls the only good thing is the size of the phone..

Constantly activating Google assistant? I was so I excited when I discovered the nav bar 😆

Gesture was horrible. Nearly sold the phone instead of using it.
Amen. Thank you it was sooo annoying.
I get my Pixel 5 tomorrow and I watched a ton of Videos about it. This was until now the best sumarry of tips i have seen.
Thank you!
I wish I could swap the order of the 3 bottom buttons to have the back button on the right side, and I REALLY wish I could get rid of the giant Google search bar that's invading my home screen, it's so bad
You can do it on any samsung phone LOL
Use a custom launcher like Nova Launcher for next level customisation
@@pablonescafebar6043 yep that's what I ended up doing and it works great

And I use SwiftKey Instead of the LG Keyboard on My LG Stylo 5.

You can do that if you download nova launcher
Download a new launcher Evie or Nova launcher are both free and good
Thanks for great video, learned a good amount.
How is it you have older style circles on you pull down shade? I have these annoying rounded rectangles which take up so much space
Still don't have option to swap button navigation like other phone? I mean back button can swap position with recent button
are the pixel phones can connect to tv wirelessly? like samsung screen mirroring?
Great vid. Few tips helped me out 😁
Any way to turn off/remove the recents bar/line on the bottom of the screen?
On my phone I lost the weather next to the date on home screen at top of phone.

Yes I liked it too. They removed it in android 11.

I think the fingerprint swipe also works in apps, which is the main benefit.
It works also on the pixel
