RCE carefully creating the most enjoyable lets play possible only to make one episone of it
I found this game to be fun at the beginning, getting the ship rebuilt, doing some research making things survivable and then heading off into the cosmos, but then the "end game" (I'm assuming) where you research terraforming and having build terraforming stuff it just feels a bit lack luster, just sitting and waiting occasionally someone mutinies or some raiders come on boards and meh. Also I wish your colonists could be more useful with other tasks on the ship (without needing to mind control them), they seem to gain experience so slowly, I love sending them to mine a planet, great when they help out at a research station, heck occasionally they're cool when they're building stuff but those last two things are things your robots won't do, but cleaning, building, etc it'd be nice if they didn't treat this ship like a cruise ship! I'm hoping this is because the "early access" version I played was a bit earlier because I haven't wanted to touch this game again in months.

another space themed factory builder to try is Mindustry, a game by a solo dev that's a mix between stardeus and hostile mars.
I love how you locked out the drones from the reactors that need the drones to be fueled however when the reactor is down you can't actually let them in... So ya kinda screwed yourself there matt. Great job!
Was bloody fun to watch tho.
I've seen a handful of youtubes play this (mostly at launch) It seems like a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy this too!
You'll want to keep the main computer and all it's additions in a room sealed away from 'human' contact. The best way to keep it cool is to just leave it open to space (put a hole in the floor). It's much more effective than wasting resources on cooling, instead you can use it to make human habitation zones elsewhere (oxygen and heat).
Looking forward to seeing more of this... even after RCE blew up the bridge 20 minutes in. 😁 Another game on my Steam wish list.

She hears "Hello fellow engineers" rolls her eyes. I thank you and you've helped me change my life for the best. I'm 18 weeks completely sober from alcohol. Something I've not managed to do in over 10 years. I'm sober from drugs and alcohol and I want to get into gaming again because my mind is so much clearer.
Man, I don't even want to imagine the sheer unadulterated horror the people in this game would experience finding out their lives are in the hands of an engineer, even one in AI form. Those "editors" didn't die from decompression, they died from the panic induced by discovering they were at the mercy of an engineer.

Your space craft crashes with an asteroid, you awake from your cryo sleep, the ship is broken beyond repair, most of the crew is dead, you try to keep your moral then the KI starts to make strongest shape jokes... you resign

I really hope it'll become a new series, haven't had that much fun watching something since the Timberborners, Infra and Polybrigde/Cities Skylines/Infraspace/Hydroneer, I'm just listing off all the series at this point.
the thought of surviving 13 mins after coming out of stasis is terrifying
I feel like this would be a great continuation for RimWorld players, very similar graphics and gameplay looks similar. You go through the perils of RimWorld and successfully make it to space only for your ship to have been blasted to bits many years in the future. In the time between your crew have been scouring the galaxy saving other space farers, or enslaving them if that's your deal, and have them locked away in stasis for when they're needed. The current crew are the descendants of your colonists that left the planet they escaped in RimWorld.

This game made me really uncomfortable knowing you’re supposed to be playing a human who’s consciousness was uploaded into the computer to run the ship. Just imagining that actually happening makes me squirm. It’s terrifying imagining having that happen to you. I keep imaging the person freaking out and all the robots going crazy. I could totally imagine this sort of thing in a movie.

Shadow was a cat so you have to divide the 40 minutes by 9 lives, that's ~4.5 minutes per life.
TBH when he fixed the ship and did a lot of reeling it kinda looked like a astronaut riding. A bird or rocket
