Thanks for the comment! You can get something called wheel locks. This changes one of the locks to have a special key so its harder to remove. Just another security measure to keep my wheels safe.
Best how NOT to spray your calipers out here. Nothing like overspray on the rotors and making the pads stick to the caliper. Literally would of took all but 2 minutes to pull the caliper and pads off to do a better job.🤣
Yea thats probably true. Im still new to all of this. If I were to do it again Id remove the calipers and pads all together. I haven’t had any issues though which is great and I’ve been able to remove the pads with no problems :)
@@kotastrophie unless you're slow and missing 6 fingers. No it doesn't. Even by hand with only hand tools it takes less than 2 minutes. Literally not figuratively.
It's a visual upgrade for me but yea not removing them was a little lazy but it worked out in the end for me. Still no problems with my brakes or rotors and they look great!
@J R Kustomz "Caliper paint" is just a marketing term. This will work just fine. Rustoleum even makes a spray paint for BBQ cook boxes, rated at 1200 degrees f!
You couldn't be more wrong. Unfortunately for you I work directly with a paint manufacturer for OEM application. You're confusing 2 different paint systems. BBQ paint isn't the same as caliper paint. You might as well use header paint for your BBQ pit too while you're at it. When you die from the toxic emissions that paint produces on your food......well it ain't gonna matter no more. You're better off saying you didn't want to spend the money on actual caliper paint. Caliper paint has to be hight heat resistant and flexible because of the constant high and low temperatures. Try that with regular paint or even BBQ paint see what happens.
That looks fucking fantastic!
Thanks so much! The paint still hasnt come off or harmed my brakes or rotors at all. Loved this change i made!
How do you know what to torque different things to?
You can check you manual or look up the service manual online. I just googled it and did some research.
Would it be better to get those drive up ramps? That way they have both wheels off the ground at the same time?
The ramps would be a great option too. I like to use the stands and i also should have put the wheels under the car for more safety.
@@letsgosergio6128 I just thought this, how would you be able to take the wheels off if you drive up a ramp… Lol
Thank you for the video. Quick question, why did you need the special key for the last lug nut and not the rest?

Looks great !
Thanks so much!
You didn't get over spray on the fenders?
Not that I saw. I tried to make sure all the paint was within my taped off area.
U should drop a video or pic of the entire car. Would love to see how the red breaks look with the whole car
Good idea! I will certainly do that tomorrow!
Im Tinting the windows and doing the red calipers first! Great job

Dude he only sprayed the side of the piston. He’s fucking learning hop off
@@abel3619 you blind? You don't see the disc got sprayed? Sprayed the back of the pad as well......just to name a few .
Takes a lot longer than 2 minutes to remove calipers.

painting isn't "upgrading" and you didn't even remove them? that's just lazy..

start pattern sir
Its STAR * pattern just saying........
Wilwood brakes.
You over torqued your wheels. You're only supposed to hit one double click, not 2

That doesn't look like caliper paint.
Right 🤔

@@steve8803 yeah cuz overspray on the pads and rotors are a genius idea .
