- The 11th Gen Civic Si finally gets the first mod installed. Our friends at Spoon Sports (Type One) reached out to us, so that we can assistance them in R&D for parts on our new 2022 Civic Si. After a few mystery boxes from Japan, we went to Spoon Sports USA (GoTuning) to install and get to work! Press play to watch!

Did you not show a side by side of the rotors because the ultra expensive Spoon rotors are just stock Si rotors?
Those breaks look clean like they look very nice on the car. But for me I didn’t really know about spoon and I wanted high quality parts so on my 6 GEN Honda Civic I just bought Wilwood big brake kit and yes maybe overkill but at the end of the day I’m willing to spend money on it and it breaks a lot faster because all four wheels are running on actual desk instead of drums and the disc are a lot bigger with more pistons and overall it just looks very nice compared to the stock breaks

What brand spacers did you use to clear the bbk?
They look nice. I have a 2023 Integra and I'm looking at this kit from Spoon. I'm wondering if my stock rims would fit? I'm doing a OEM+ build. PRL, A'PEXi, and Spoon.

One thing I immediately noticed are the rotors are 1 piece, not 2 piece or floating. What do they weigh? But hey 6 pot Spoon rotors for free? Also are the rotors propriety to this kit it do other rotor brands make this size replacements?
The caliper does fit oem rotors so that’s a plus. The spoon rotors do have differences specifically for heat management.
How squeaky are the brakes? 😅

are the OEM brakes of the 11th gen are similar to the 10th gen civic?
Yes they are similar, just needed some modifications so the bbk could fit properly.

The stock brakes are laughably bad. Spoon looks great!

I forgot the size. We only put them on to get home and put the new wheels on.

As a honda tech it hurts too see yall bending down to remove wheels while on a lift.
