I love how genuine Spencer is. All his videos deal with real problems and how he copes. Like his stutter and how he has body image issues, half of the comments are going to be 'he looks the same' but he constantly says this is a fitness JOURNEY. Not a get lean fast challenge.

If you're talking to someone tell them you have a stutter before you talk, it'll make you more comfortable and less worried about embarrassing yourself cause they'll know and be more patient with you during the conversation. Also sometimes it's better to make a joke out of it before other people make fun of it so you have the upper hand. He’s sooo right! Getting started at the gym around those that have been at it for years or simply just months is the most frustrating part. Even w discipline and 100% commitment the need for some form of instant gratification is overwhelming at times. Whenever I started a new workout program, I used everything I could to mentally convince my self my body was changing. I even considered the pain I felt on day 3 the beginning of my body transformation. Then there were the tanning beds! lol I used those to psychology trick myself (although I knew better) into “seeing” instant weight loss and a healthier look in general. I would tan 2 -3 times a week after a really long workout as a reward. *Sshhhh...Dont start warning me about how bad tanning beds are. That’s NOT what this is about & I KNOW ABOUT TANNING BEDS*
Anyway, I think the gym owners were on to the tanning bed effect being the key to psychological instant gratification long before we were. And it worked!
I rarely weighed myself as weight loss was never a reason I worked out and I would gain weight and lose inches rather quickly. Instead, I’d go to the store at the end of each week and try on something small & affordable. IF it noticeably fit me differently than before I worked out, I’d buy it. Items like thin white tank tops that would normally cling to me and show my LACK of tone. When you can put on a $5.00 cheap thin spandex tank top and it actually looks good .... you KNOW your effort is paying off!
Anyway, I think that constant need for instant results is why only the most disciplined people have remarkable bodies. Working out doesn’t even have to be difficult. It’s the waiting for results that frustrates people and they choose to quit. If someone started a gym program where they had biweekly “rewards” or ways they could show the small changes... it would be successful. Hook the member up w a get started kit ... bottle of fake tan, exfoliating body scrub, moisturizing lotion. A QUALITY thermal water bottle that not only looks cool, but enables you to keep track of water intake. Health shake mix, pedometer...etc. Things to encourage the member to care for their body inside and outside the gym. But they HAVE to use them.

How are you privileged because you are fit and can afford a gym membership? You're fit because you work hard and sacrifice time and energy. A gym membership costs you money. It takes money AWAY from you! Money you work to earn. You would be privileged if you didn't need to work to achieve any of these things, but you work. You deserve these things.

Eggs alone has around 185 mg of cholesterol which increases blood cholesterol levels and will dramatically increase the risk of heart disease, bowel disease, cancer ect. Too many Eggs everyday isn't so good however having 3 eggs a day is totally safe just don't go beyond that. There are way more solutions to protein then eggs which are way healthier, eg beans, chickpeas, protein shakes.

Why not use UA-cam’s captions instead of baking them into the video stream itself? I get very distracted by subtitles, and by making them optional everyone can view the video they want to...

Ironically enough, this video was mostly him talking, and not a lot of footage of him working out or eating.
