I think the frame of the Astray is fine as is, especially if you consider that the Inversion gave it standard ball joint shoulders. It’s the accessories that leave something to be desired. I’d be perfectly fine if an HGCE Astray just took the mold of the Inversion and swapped out the accessories for more modern ones.
I don’t think the Kämpfer needs a revive either. The only features it’s really lacking are a moving monoeye and yellow thrusters on the legs that could probably be color-separated today. The articulation isn’t great compared to modern kits, but it’s the articulation that the design of the Kämpfer allows for without the collapsing bits that Ver ANIME figures have. Even the elbow bend is forgivable because the lineart seems to indicate that the Kämpfer only has single-jointed elbows.

So an odd question. I plan to acquire a 1/100 Serpent Custom from Endless Waltz, but I am not quite satisfied with the color scheme. What would you suggest for making it darker without diluting the color scheme to an unacceptable level?

I have the Metal Robot Damashii Destiny, and it's hand's down the single best figure I own. Almost perfect.
There’s just something about the “Alex” that makes it one of my favorite Gundam models.

The ALEX Gundam needs a revive more badly than any UC Gundam
I'm pretty sure that the gundam units 4 and 5 along with the mudrock were made with the Alex in mind. The mudrock has a similar body shape to the Alex so the joints can be used on it

I ordered this figure and the day it arrived this video was uploaded. Wild.
So while the figures aren’t scaled, they’re the same size as their hg/RG counterparts at around 5 inches tall. Also the Alex and the granddaddy differ in height only about half a meter!
Msia/RD was always around 1/144. Sometimes slightly smaller or bigger
I have both windam msia and HGCE. the msia is more anime accurate and short/stubbyer but the HGCE is taller and a sharper design

I had to pick this up its so solid and looks awesome displayed in front of the mg like it has a little mini me lol if youre ever in the market for one the damashii GM is fantastic, and one i highly reccomend.
I am on the verge of dropping the hammer on this guy. used to build kits ten years ago. stopped doing that because it troubles me that my products will start losening up after mere weeks and the fragility really messes with my head. Recently I really want to paint some stuff bad but don't want to suffer from the kits(the fragility, the kits them selves are very enjoyable to build) and this seems like a good place to start.

The first three are the same thing and the fourth is just a sub-line focused on the UC timeline and giving us anime accurate representations of mobile suits

Between this figure and the MG 2.0 version... I'd presume fans would go for the MG 2.0 version. These figures are definitely expensive and they tend to sell out quick and go up on the resale market for much higher prices. Then there's the issue of Bandai very very (if ever?) reprinting these figures.

as an RD/ Spirits collector, the ANIME ver line is a kinda mediocre, 3 out of 6 figures suffered from loose joints right out of the box, nasty simline, and the hands are easily deformed after holding a slightly larger weapons like a bazooka. Robot damashii after 2014 onwards still the best imo.
