Just hoping we can turn it into a Big 12 title. It’s refreshing as a 20+ year Texas Tech fan to see us reaching for greatness and being taken seriously. $$$ talks and we got oil money flowing! Or at the very least, money flowing like the oil in West Texas!

I know Wood said he usually runs a base 3-4, but I could almost see his base here as a 4-2-5 just bc of all the DB'S added from the portal. Just add a DE, or maybe two, and he'd have a good front 7.
Assuming no more additions or subtractions from the roster, who would be the starting inside receiver next year? Would you move a guy like Eakin or Virgil inside or would it be a young player that we haven't seen much of like Kelby Valsin?
I like how Joey turned around the Micah loss. We will loose one “5” star but add these guys. Honestly in the portal era does a 5 star recruit really matter anymore.
I am one who has never been impressed with 5 star, 4 star etc ratings. I would much rather see a young player who has the basic skill set, drive, heart, and the ability to be coached up.
Tech still needs at least an above average QB for any of this to matter. The most important piece is QB play and they don't have it right now. Either the Freshman is going to have to breakout or grab a kid from the portal that can elevate those around him. That Wake Forest kid ain't it. None the less, I really hope TTU wins the Big 12 next year!
