Great pilots out there with their demos but from a beginner perspective, I have to say Patrick leads the way. Very cool and calm, very nice guy. Explains his moves with the visual of controls is perfect. I can see the plane, see his stick movements on the transmitter as he walks you through. Alot like Alpha.
What a great beautiful piece of hardware. Love your flight. Keep up the good work. Next to best thing to flying the real thing. Hope to see another film real soon. Take care of the baby...
James is excellent and I love his workshop. I just can't say enough how much I enjoy the entire team at MotionRC. It's a thing with me, I examine things through N through. Nothing against the others companies, I will give them props, no pun, and money and competition is healthy. If I was asked which one I would love to work for or with, it would be MotionRC first. And excuse me but when you love what you are doing, the work becomes that much more enjoyable. Helps keep my faith in humanity. You folks take care today. 🙂
Great!!! A Corsair is a big plane already and in a 1600mm size it's huge but still unbelievable agile, what a presence in the air!!! Nice to see there's 2 canopy versions :-) Greetings from Belgium (Icarus the 2nd)
I've got the big fms 1700mm and while it's awesome looking in the air it's a pain in the butt to keep it there with the weak gear and underpowered motor. Got some other smaller ones that suck on grass or lack better scale presence. I ordered this one last night cannot wait for flying season in the spring!!
The F4U was my first warbird I ever flew and I have to say it seems more forgiving compared to other warbirds. This Flightline model looks and sounds amazing in the air... My problem is not having a vehicle big enough to transport it, lol. Nice vid!
Got the 1600mm spitfire which is stunning in every way and ive got the 1A on pre order I'm just itching to get my hands on it but being in the UK I guess I'm going to have to wait a while before she comes Keep up the superb quality MRC 👍
Dam, These are $795 in Australia but after watching that fantastic video and excellent flying I'm going to have buy one. Does anyone want to buy a kidney? I have one for sale.
Those that have flown this, do you agree CG is spot on with an Admiral 6s 5000 pushed all the way forward without adding additional weight in the cowl?
Moira O'Brien you “Brits” flew them too. As I recall, it was the Royal Navy who perfected landing on a carrier with them. So if you were a true Brit you’d have a spit and a Corsair 😁
I have the birdcage variant that has the large decals already applied. Does that mean i have the updated landing gear? The site say models ordered after Nov 24 have the upgrade, i ordered mine just before that? TIA.
Nicely flown, have you got the rudder on the right stick?I have always flown mode 1 but I should fly mode 2 as I am right handed, it has always been a limitation but I cant change now because it would be impossible. flying mode 1 has always been like writing with the wrong hand and I have noticed that guys that fly mode 2 that are right handed fly very smoothly.
Whack that on the same battery the the Corsair gets nearly 8 minutes flying time while the F-22 gets around 3.5. Like what is going on with those fan units?
Was wondering @@MotionRC if you strung together some hard case LI-on 18650 packs you would get a higher energy density [2x] and thus longer flight time over the conventional Li-Poly batteries. In addition to the vastly increased life span.
The weight would probably be your biggest enemy. Even with Li-Poly people try to chase longer flight times with high mAh packs, but eventually, you add too much weight that your flight experience suffers.
@@MotionRC Oh really.Cool to know. I've ordered this Birdcage. This will be my 7th Corsair. I have the micro one,Parkzone F4UD-1 , the older FMS Grey 1400MM, Bananahobby's 1200MM and 1600MM , and the FMS 1700MM Grey Corsair already...Yes, it's my favorite.Can you tell...LOL
Gyro doesn't have to be centered, just flat and level. You can have it toward the left or right on the tray. In this video we have the admiral stability plus receiver gyro combo and its mount on the aft left part of the batter tray
Just pulled the trigger on the Birdcage version ! Love the look and scale details. My only comment with a hint of humor is “ you call that grass” lol , that’s like flattened, pancake weeds :) . Come on and give us some real grass, not dead flat weeds and not PGA style putting green, you know real bumpy clubstyle grass :)
Lou DiMarco we are very lucky to have such a nice field to fly from. The grass is zoysia and it’s pretty tame in the winter but it does get pretty thick and has some big ant hills in the summer!
4FunRC, personally I prefer larger birds. They fly better. Easier to see. Look cool. Presence in the air. Portability is the only argument, imo. Get a bigger vehicle. ;-]
From what I've seen, Horizon stuff is nice and well fitted but significantly costlier for the same end result. I noticed they started selling FMS stuff awhile ago. Even now the Eflite (Horizon brand) 1200mm class Spitfire which Motion Rc also sells, sells for the same price that FMS 1400mm class used to be. They just throw in a 3 axis gyro to bump up the cost.
Good job guys, but there is way too much talkie throughout this flight. Captain D doesn't have to call out everything he's doing, especially when we can see video of his radio when he's flying. Some people just want to hear the plane.
I owned the FMS one and got this when it came out. Not even a comparison. I am amazed at the quality. It didn't even look like foam when unboxing it and flie on rails. Great job FlightLine and Motion!

Wow that was the most satisfying grass landing I've ever seen. I'm adding this to my wishlist.
Thanks so much my man! She sure is a beauty to see and fly for sure
I got mine last year and I love it , and I still come back to these videos man and I can’t wait to fly her again
What a great beautiful piece of hardware. Love your flight. Keep up the good work. Next to best thing to flying the real thing. Hope to see another film real soon. Take care of the baby...
This is a beautiful model and sounds amazing when she passes by. I'd love to have one of these Corsairs someday
Great video, nice touch seeing the Tx inputs & cometary.

Very very nice done - and beautiful Bird - Thank You !!!
Would like to see you guys come out with a 1600mm Stuka Ju-87d. Another handsome warbirds.

Glad to hear it! Your going to love this one
Great job guys. Good scale like flying. One of my favorite ww twice subjects. Started saving for one today.
thanks so much!
Dang, I could watchand listen to Patrick fly all day! Amazing, and thank you
Richard Blanc thank you! That’s a very nice compliment.

Very nice! Well done motion. I am sure it will sell well.

Do you have to buy it in Australia??????
Great colour scheme this is one I will buy from Europe when it comes out great filming 😃👍👍👍👍👍
Great job guys.
Anxiously awaiting a Flightline HELLCAT !!!
what can I say more.... words are missing... wonderfull video... I might order this plane.
Very very nice maybe Santa will bring me one lol I'll probably have to save up and get it myself very nice flight thank you
Nice Corsair...looks and designed so much like the FMS Corsair, $399.00 WOW !!!
Gorgeous. These just keep getting better and better. Not good for my monies.
Those that have flown this, do you agree CG is spot on with an Admiral 6s 5000 pushed all the way forward without adding additional weight in the cowl?
Super looking plane and beautiful flying performance - almost as nice as the Spitfire, but, being a Brit, I have to go for the Spit :)
Touché.
Moira O'Brien you “Brits” flew them too. As I recall, it was the Royal Navy who perfected landing on a carrier with them. So if you were a true Brit you’d have a spit and a Corsair 😁
this is true, they perfected the art of turning into the landing as the nose was so big you couldn't lineup straight and still see the carrier
racerx600rr My late uncle was captain of HMS Hermes in the 60's so no doubt he had Corsairs on board :).
It's ok. Spitfire was a great fighting bird too. Although its 2nd in my book doesn't mean it's any less note worthy.
ima ask for one on Christmas that thing is light weight would you recommend this for a beginner that is starting to get into the bigger planes
EXCELLENT review..👍
thanks so much!
Lovin' the 1600mm series! Hopefully some WW1 birds come soon!
It took 11 months, but finally ordered mine! Birdcage for me!
I have the birdcage variant that has the large decals already applied. Does that mean i have the updated landing gear? The site say models ordered after Nov 24 have the upgrade, i ordered mine just before that?
TIA.
Wow i just wanna buy this thing

this is a mode 2 setup. Rudder is on the left
Motion rc has the highest quality planes.
Sounds great.
Beautiful plane. Now we need a huge Carbon Z Corsair please. 👍🇺🇸
This cracks me up. Winter in Georgia. Where you at for temps in this vid? 55degrees? Love ya anyway!
Great looking plane. Why don't you use telemetry to monitor the battery? No more guesswork and timers!
Old habits I guess
I got mine yesterday
Whack that on the same battery the the Corsair gets nearly 8 minutes flying time while the F-22 gets around 3.5. Like what is going on with those fan units?
Jets and Prop planes are completely different beasts. Thats truly comparing apples to oranges.
to be technical. EDFs turn 3 to 4 times faster and draw more amperage. Propellers create wind over the wings where the EDF depends more on thrust.
Even real jets are thirstier than prop jobs😀
great video. i just wish you would have shown how the stability plus works on this plane./
It was on the whole time
@@MotionRC I mean the plus part. The recovery mode
we have a great video showing all those features in action. This video wasn''t about the RX, have a look here: ua-cam.com/video/RknBq4PzKHM/v-deo.html
Great video. Do you think you could get improved flight times with the lithium ion packs?
LiPo packs are a form of Lithium Ion. But flight times on this model are awesome.
It's kind of funny that the flying wing platforms such as the mini drak and others can flight times of 35 minutes or more.
Would be nice if a war bird could get maximum flight times like that.
Why is there a big ol hole on the bottom in the middle of the fuselage?
In very early models, the corsair was built with a window to try and help pilots bomb targets better
@@MotionRC Just wish it had folding wings
Glad you asked, I was wondering the same thing.
I have a question where did you mount your reciever in the center for gyro? I have a as3x reciever but cant use the gyro because its not centered
Gyro doesn't have to be centered, just flat and level. You can have it toward the left or right on the tray. In this video we have the admiral stability plus receiver gyro combo and its mount on the aft left part of the batter tray
@@MotionRC ok thanks for the help.

Fumbling for the battery checker...how quaint - doesn't MotionRC sell onboard voltage sensors for opentx system?
We were flying spektrum though
did the shoulder bra strap help yu hold the 8 lb controller?
Beautiful, thx. But why do they have to be so big? Smaller, smaller, smaller, would be great (4Me).
4FunRC, personally I prefer larger birds. They fly better. Easier to see. Look cool. Presence in the air. Portability is the only argument, imo. Get a bigger vehicle. ;-]
Flightline please pump out a bf 109
Hey Horizon RC, better up your game!!
Vern Orrell Agreed!
Vern Orrell - agree. to many P51 Mustangs from Horizon. Nothing new.
Just wait, another P51 soon from Horizon soon.
From what I've seen, Horizon stuff is nice and well fitted but significantly costlier for the same end result. I noticed they started selling FMS stuff awhile ago. Personally to extand the time of flight I should be able to put a long running amp hour battery in this flying wonder
K emocion f4 corsair
I keep hearing the name Alpha. Who is this Alpha?
Alpha is our product manager/lead designer.
Pretty fine looking planes... but electric on a warbird just doesn't do it for me.
Nekst 1600 mm do a German plane
Good job guys, but there is way too much talkie throughout this flight. Captain D doesn't have to call out everything he's doing, especially when we can see video of his radio when he's flying. Some people just want to hear the plane.
whose Captain D?
Yeah 500$.. wtf $500 styrofoam airplane great.... there's no reason for it to be $500...
it's $459. By comparison the 1700mm FMS Corsair which is 5 years old is $499
I owned the FMS one and got this when it came out. Not even a comparison. I am amazed at the quality. It didn't even look like foam when unboxing it and flie on rails. Great job FlightLine and Motion!
