Wow this was an absolutely wow kinda maiden!! I am a very happy camper!!
What a fantastic plane! I love mine. Welcome to the bent wing bird club...the FL is the best foam one out there in my opinion. Nice flying man...congrats!
Thanks Adam my second flight is much better with much better landings!!! Question when Hedi is filming for you is she standing or using a tripod?
@@FatGuyFliesRC She actually is sitting on the edge of a chair and hand holding the camera.
Nice flying. Looks like you had quite a crosswind. Impressed with the plane and the batteries.
Yes thanks, the second flight (much better) is loaded and will be live Saturday. Check it out!
Congrats on the maiden! Anytime you can take home in one piece its a good day! Thats great on the flight time. Everybody seems to get good flight times on this model. Love Corsairs and looks like Flightline did it justice!
I totally agree! Thanks . It is very easy on the lipo!!!
Great maiden!! I have this plane, and I have to say it is a trick to land. You did great dude!!
Thanks, my second flight was MUCH better!!!
Amazing flying. I do enjoy your flights.
Glad you enjoyed
Awesome maiden... I liked you custom message lol
Thanks 👍 I get a kick out of it too!!!
Awesome flight! I have always loved the Corsair. I wish those batteries were still on sale. I would grab a couple of those right now.
Thanks so much!!! And yes I got lucky!!
Great maiden flight, 55% left after nearly 10 mins flying is awesome, great flying and the landings were nice except for a couple of bounces but hey you've never flown this plane before so very well done....jeff.
Glad you enjoyed it The second flight is much better!!!
Congratulations on the successful maiden flight! This plane is one big bird and it flew on rails!!
Yes indeed!
I can just hear the intro to black sheep squadron playing as you take off! Great flying and I'm even more impressed that you have an affiliation with Motion RC! The way Brian Phillips and the Saylors talk about them you would think they don't work with anyone.
I believe in full transparency, If you buy a plane through my link pays me a little I want you the viewer to know about it. Why not mention it to viewers. If I recommend a plane and I lie about it then the viewer will no longer buy from me and will not trust me. So I ALWAYS am truefull in my reviews and try to be as neutral as possible if a plane sucks I say so, but I say WHY i believe it sucks, SAME isf the plane is great!
big fan! you are a great pilot. A tip I got at my club for the corsair was to let off the elevator as soon as your wheels touch. that will eliminate that bounciness. thanks for the info and entertainment! your wife is doing a great job at filming!
Thanks for the tip and stopping by!!
1. If you can’t use 100% travel in high rates, either the control horn is too short or the servo arm is too long.
2. Assign the flap switch to the transmitter’s flight modes and use F-mode trim so that you can trim the elevator for the proper glide speed with the flaps down and the motor off.
3. The flap>elevator mix isn’t for level flight at full throttle.
Thanks for all that. You can use 100% travel i was just saying that there was not much travel on the manual rudder setup. The manual calls out for a low rate on the elevator of 50% which I thought seemed too low. And i love flight modes for my personal flying but that is hard to explain to a new pilot about what the flAP MIX IS.
What an awesome plane! Wow it sounds amazing and I’m sure would be a keeper if I were ever to afford one your enthusiasm was plain to see ❤Gods Blessings on you and your family as always xx
Thanks a ton! And God bless you and yours too!
sorry to mention this but the stars and bars on the wings are the wrong way round unfortunately but great flying, great plane and another great informative video from F.G.F.R.C.!...
Then the diagram is also wrong from Motion RC.
Yep you put the stars and bars upside down on the wing and on the wrong side of the wing
@FatGuyFliesRC off all the warbirds you built you should know which way they go
I had seen your build video but you left the radio set up ? the most important part 😮
62" wing span ,wow thats impressive..
Well I am sorry you missed it but no I made a video on it, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/TAVoCl6BSYU/v-deo.html
Nice Maiden, but one thing for sure is this warbird has some very tough landing gears lol,
True that! Thanks!!!
Good job flying. Nice maiden flight. I had my fingers crossed when you were landing hoping that there wouldn’t be any mishaps.
You and me both!
Hahaha she really is a sweetheart 😁 how’s your gear holding up? Some guys on rcgroups say the gear can often fail on anything but soft landings.
Actually now watch this: ua-cam.com/video/zsFHQJtLpCE/v-deo.html all fixed now
Where did you get those batteries so cheap
Directly from HobbyKing: hobbyking.com/en_us/graphene-5000mah-6s-45c-w-xt90.html They are now out of stock and the regular price is around $70 which is still a good buy.
I have always scared of the F4U you may have changed my mind.
Dont be the F4U is one of the easiest warbirds to fly the Mustang is harder.
this Cosair likes more of a 3 point landing, than main gear first, tail down
Yes similar to how you land the FMS Pitts 1400mm.
Better check your retracts after those bad landings
I did when I got home, after both flights they are still rock solid!
