You guys are amazing. Thank you so much!!
OHHH YURRRRRR!!!
#drums #hybrid #electronic #drumming
I really dig hearing you play grooves & not just metal 👌🏼
Who said metal isnt groovy?
@@im_in_immense_paingroove, groovy
Groove is in the heart, even if your heart is black 🖤
Think of all the fart sounds…
I like where your heads at
How did you comment from 2 days ago when the vid is 3hrs old? You from the future?
@@tinypnutz bahee membership
That's all that happens when I do.
Oh the endless possibilities 😂😂😂
I'm not a drummer but I subbed to your channel because you're very entertaining. This device is fantastic. As a keyboardist I love experimenting with all kinds of sounds and it appears that this luxury is finally starting to find a place for percussionists as well. It's a wonderful time to be a musician.
thank you!!!
@@66SamusSEX or FART?))))
It's nice to hear a keyboardist understand what triggers/sensors do.
Wow! I haven't ever been a fan of electronic kits which makes this really really appealing! Thank you for showing us this!
Quad Damage
@@MetaITurtle LOL! I heard it in that voice! 😁
Same.
Also nice pfp, I need to play quake again..
Have you ever played a higher end Roland? It's sick dude.
@@drewbocop No, can't say I have. Might be time to give it a shot.. The last time I tried an electronic kit it wasn't an enjoyable experience at all, but, it seems things have dramatically improved since.
Someone call Danny Carey, lol! Thanks for the great energy as usual, awesome video.
LMAO he has 120 zones (all MIDI channels) on his Synesthesia Mandala drum. The only reason they stopped producing those is because the only person in the world able to play them is Dany Carey in the first place xD
@@jas_bataille I love Danny, but I'm sure plenty people could play them! Too bad they don't make them anymore. This adds a few different possibilities though, smaller kits with more range. I'm excited for what it can do.
Yess
This reminds me of when I 1st got an Octopad. I did the same thing played through the entire library of neat, different and cool sounds. I was impressed and in love with it. Then I took it rehearsal and realized it had no practical application to it. You really have to write the song to these types of instruments and not play these instruments to the song for it to work out right. Fun little toy to play with when you're by yourself and bored
Sample pads are on the kit of so many huge touring acts. Extremely useful in a live music context.
I agree and I can't see myself spending 1500 bucks or more for something like this, as interesting and technologically impressive as it is it risks being a bit of a gimmick. I have yet to see people use it as a way to recreate analogue drums faithfully like hitting the toms and snare in different zones and getting the actual simulated sound, maybe that could be interesting but not for metal I guess
I've been a Sensory fan for a few years now, and this new upgrade is simply fantastic. I was a bit surprised when you announced you got the system as this is SUCH a diff beast of a system, and it's typically played by some of my fave Drum 'Tech geeks' and Jazzers. BUT, that said, I love your playing, and I love your 'no BS' product reviews, so I was dying to see your initial run-through of this rig. You did not disappoint!! Looking forward to seeing you utilize this system with your 'regular' playing style. That should be mind-blowing!! Nice work.....
That wet kit had me dying lol. I saw some really cool videos from Sensory a couple years back and was super impressed with what they were doing then - but this is incredible
Amazing. I'm feeling the taps and bongs it makes. It's new sounds for old drum sets.
I'm not a Drummer, but I enjoy watching. You have a great sense of humor and always try to catch the live stream when I can. I Wish you all the best and keep up the great work!
thank you so much!
Just imagine how creative you can write music with these. This is a new level!
Wow! Imagine if one other member of the band walks to the drums and also takes sticks, though the tool is activated. You could fool the audience or can have a great show. Like four drums, two people, one kit :) endless possibilities.
Cheers, thx for sharing :)
6:23 Samus groovin smooth
You did an amazing job demo'ing this craziness yo, respect.
Dude, that's freaking awesome!
Really, Really cool equipment! BTW, I love the SCREAM socks!
the absolute joy !
Thank you for putting this up, it's nice to see a review outside the "salles" trailer videos.
Such an awesome piece of gear, thanks for the video samus🤙🤘
Great stuff Sam! Great demo video!
Nice video. You have the best socks plus those drum triggers/sensors are the best ones I have seen.
These are actually sick. This would be an incredible way to record analog and midi drums at the same time allowing for perfect layering on tracks.
That's so freaking awesome dude, I was giggling along with you the whole time. That meat slapping kick sound had me rolling.. So much fun to be had especially with user made sound kits
Dude the beginning lol. I feel like I could use that some days. So calming.
Finally dude you teased this on the stream and ive been patiently waiting 🙏👀
Your joy and excitement is infectious! What a great video.Amazing product. My son has the originals. These look way more intuitive.
very cool... reminds me of how Akira Jimbo uses triggers to play the melodies on top of the drumming
that kit is awesome!
Back in the 80’s and early 90’s I pushed for the sometimes reluctant drummers I worked with to use Octopads and DK10s that I would purchase and hook into my samplers. It added a great deal to our sound and our live shows. This system is the first since then that has peaked my interest (as a non drummer) and seems like a huge leap forward. In the hands of a talented person this seems like it would be amazing! Can’t wait to see what people do with it. 😀
I loved my DK10. Surprisingly good surface for that time
That system is so freaking cool! The pickup system is wild too!
im crying, its so beautiful..
A man who is not afraid to cry! You are a keeper! 👍 ☺
Sounds Great 🤘🏼🥁🤘🏼
The stacked melody options on this (in your intro) reminds me of an old Akira Jimbo video from about 18years ago.
This whole setup is rad AF though - love what's possible with eDrums
7:17 Reminds me of the old Morgan Agren "Trum" videos intro. 😁
This is some cool gear mate ! Endless possibilities ! Anulogue haha!!
Wow!, This is the first time Ive seen this! This is way awesome!
As a classically trained singer, most of this drum stuff goes way over my head, but I still find your videos so very entertaining! One thing I really like about this video is how you used farts to censor your swearing; I think you should do that more often! 💨😂
This is revolutionary and absolutely amazing. Cost is about that of a higher end electronic kit, but for what you get out of these it's not bad at all.
Well I know the next bit of drum gear I am getting. This looks great!
I love how he said ohhhh yerrrrrrr! 1:02
Samus, the first 0.36 seconds is ‘excellent for people who have insomnia‘…I mean that in a nice way, it’s very soothing beautiful music. 🎶🎶🎶 The sensors looks like something 007 (Bond, James Bond) would use! 🔫
Sick setup. Looks better than your standard single zone clip sensors for sure! ❤
up to 10 zones per drum, I'm STILL blown away hahaha
Imagine using this in a band situation, maybe trade fours with the keys player, change zones for a different sound from verse to chorus. Infinite possibilities with this technology & you did a great first run through for all of us who love new gear. Thanks!
Thanks Man!❤❤❤❤
This thing is Amazing!💀🤘
LOL the snare roll at 7:19 sounds like the dialogue between Little Mac and Coach in Punch Out!
that flappy kick sound is the equivalent of lars snare on St Anger
7:44 sounds like the aliens from signs lol
Seeing this video and thinking how cool it would be if Neil would have been able to get his hands on it.
Was waiting for blast beats 😅😅
Samus, I just noticed me and you are double bass pedal twinsies... I also own and enjoy the Pearl P922
The only drums I ever played were the common air drum kit but never played any real or knock off set and I never knew any of these things existed or were even possible this is by far my favorite drumming channel
thank you so much John!!!!
Its amazing 🙏🏻😍, someday would you make a video with Anastasia Sereda?
Sounds sick!
Seeing your face through the whole video made it worth it lol that's an amazing system :)
First time seeing this new product and it’s very interesting. Samus you need to do a video showing how useful this is to us metal drummers not looking for melodies and stuff like that. Scenario are these the best triggers to pull massive superior drummer like sounds out of a drum kit and not having to mic all the drums. Overheads ride an hats mic’d uo and the rest of the kit triggered like you have been doing with the Pearl e’merge module.
6:23 goes so hard LET HIM COOK!
Making straight up songs using different parts of the drums to make yourself a one man band is dope. Can see that at experimental music shows for sure! OH YERRRR
7:19 My face looked just like yours! This is beyond cool.
gotta love instrument terminology...i had the lovely opportunity to tell my friend "the g string belongs in the nut slot"
i was changing guitar strings, okay?
600K SUBS, LETS GOOOOOO🎉🎉🎉
The fart at 10:43 was very tastefully executed.
crazy thing for small drumkids .. Amazing !!
I love my promark sticks
this looks interesting, but as a poor drummer, the ddrum red shots with my alesis trigger i/o are helping me a lot on my albums band. We are using hybrid recording with 8 channel interface. But sure, if i had the money, i would really love to try this one. looks like less tweaking and more accurate playing. Cheers from Mexico.
Super cool. I’d love to see Aric Improta experiment with these.
Ok. This is Fantastic. 😎🥁🎉👍🎵
When the sounds made you giggle 😂🤣😂
I’m getting mine soon . Being a drummer for many years this can improve droit acoustic drums sound beyond. I think it can download the drums you want also. I want to see if I can record electric cymbals and ez drummer 3 into.
Nice , that intro was chill as fuck
You are fun to watch. You are cool.
7:34 still better sounding than saint anger
Those pickup elements... dial the gate address!
Another amazing tool to add to the armory.
Love that you're still rocking the Joey Jordison snare
Promark active grips are my current favorite
They're good, but if you play often and aggressively... The blisters exist
@@dustinhughes6095 haha, love the slipknot reference
Samus, The Godfather of UA-cam Drumming. I wanted to let you know with all due respect, Oh Yurrrrrrr.
amazing!!
Really enjoy ur videos 🥁✌🏼😆🤣
thank you Roberto!
Incredible demonstration. If I weren’t so tech illiterate, I’d be doing so much with that.
Dope 💯
I just wanna take a quick second to say how about the flash of that Dean Palomino!? Got me a black one and I love it! Ok back to the video 😊
around 7:00 reminded me to "master of puppets" 🤘
it would be cool to get a electronic kit see how it works with that maybe run it all stereo might be hell to set it up though
7:15 /8:07 Samus goes full Danny Carey.
Would love if you did some tool covers with these.
Thats sick!
Shoutout to my Sweetwater Sales Engineer Josh Strid!
FRICKIN EVANS DUDE ❤ you can always count on D'Addario, man
That Joey Jordison snare tho
Crazy!!!!! 😂😂
7:17 will never get old
Ok you've convinced me! This one beats them all I guess
Bought it 😁
Yeah I remember ordering it from their Kickstarter and paying a premium price for them too, not been able to use it for a anything
Those synth sounds are all well & good but does it have acoustic kit samples on it as well? Like are there multiple choices for if u want your kit to sound like acoustic kits from different eras and manufacturers?
those high hats sound amazing!! what are they?
thank you!!
Byzance Dark (backordered)
and 14 inch fast hats amzn.to/45cc6eR
cheers!
@66Samus thanks!! Love the content by the way!
Blast beats with that.
So bad ass🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Was waiting for that deep bass fart
7:24 Those kick drums make me feel violated.
New Age Samus!!
