- In tonight’s episode: The tents and barricades are gone, but pro-Palestinian protesters are back at the University of Calgary Friday evening after a tense and sometimes violent night. Police say they won’t interfere with protests but that another encampment will not be allowed. Heather Yourex-West reports live from the scene.
Immigration Minister Marc Miller met with his provincial and territorial counterparts on Friday, to discuss ways to tackle the country’s ballooning immigration numbers. The federal government has already taken the step of slashing the number of temporary foreign visas by 600,000 as it tries to figure out the country’s housing shortage at the same time. Mackenzie Gray reports.
An apartment building in Winnipeg has been deemed unsafe and in danger of collapsing. Tenants were given just hours to leave. Global’s Melissa Ridgen was there Thursday night as the news was delivered.

Calgary made the right decision. Passion for a movement is admirable but when it is so misguided you are just joining a mob. And there is always a risk with protesting, most of these misguided people aren't aware this nor the facts of what this movement is really doing.
Agree and there is a huge difference between peaceful protest for a change in Canada compared to these radical, authoritarian, illegal, resistance cults that are just here to divide and create chaos.
No1 likes seeing some innocent people dying but others don’t have to live in fear constantly and defend themselves from attacks on a regular basis. If your loved ones were kidnapped I promise you that there isn’t a single person or thing that would stop me from doing everything possible to get my family back.
On the other hand, a whole lot of faculty and staff at some of the top academic institutions in both CA and USA have joined the protests and support their students. Some of whom are also Jewish. It isn't accurate at all to say that they do not know what they are talking about.

Actually maybe you should attempt to learn the facts. I actually went to one of these in BC at the UBC campus in Vancouver. It was very peaceful. In the field by the aquatic centre, students had signs put up calling for peace and calling for Canada to not to fund Israel, while the students were all sitting in the field with their books and laptops and schoolwork, doing their assignments. You fail to understand what is actually going on and believe a false conservative narrative.

What the heck were they doing in Winnipeg? Usually, building construction is FLOODED WITH "INSPECTORS" Such is the case in B.C. It is a government job ffs. The "Building Inspectors should be on the financial HOOK for all the residents. These inspectors are specifically trained so demand the big bucks. & yet they get off "scot free"? Builders should know how to build a house - every aspect so they are on the hook too. It just seems they learned how to cut the corners & build as cheap as possible. Heck, the workers working on it KNOW. Even the Painter knows all the other trades(exception being concrete) even then he has an idea of how it is suppose to be done.
