- Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes, as major wildfires continue to burn near Fort Nelson, B.C., and Fort McMurray, Alta. As Heather Yourex-West explains, while cooler temperatures and rain in some areas are helping firefighters fend off the flames, the situation for these communities remains volatile.
While a wildfire is burning just a few kilometres away from Fort McMurray, Alta., there are plenty of firefighters, helicopters, and heavy equipment assigned to the city to help prevent the blaze from coming closer. As Jasmine King reports, a good break in the weather is also helping douse the flames and ease the fears of evacuees.
Two Ontario men are facing charges of fraud over $5,000 and laundering the proceeds of crime, after police say investors were scammed out of millions of dollars. Shallima Maharaj explains how Colin Murphy and self-proclaimed "crypto king" Aiden Pleterski are accused of duping funders.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is visiting the Kharkiv region, as the country's military urgently tries to defend it from Russia's renewed push into the northeast region. As Crystal Goomansingh reports, the violent battles unfold as Russian President Vladimir Putin visits Chinese leader Xi Jinping, to reaffirm their alliance.

New Caledonia is under a state of emergency after days of deadly riots, sparked over the announcement of controversial electoral reforms for the French territory. As Mike Armstrong explains, critics say the proposed changes will further marginalize Indigenous Kanak people, which make up nearly half of the territory's population.
Plus, while Nova Scotia already attracts lots of visitors with its lobsters and lighthouses, a family of ranchers is hoping to start a tourist hotspot of their own, after setting up a bison farm. Heid Petracek gives a tour of the ranch at Lindsay Lake, N.S., and speaks with the owners about why they are raising the iconic animals of the Prairies in the Atlantic province.

guy was shot yesterday and fully and conclusively we can say he acted alone, an 8 year old could see the hole in such great detective work
it. is not even summer. who is starting these fires.
Climate activists who want to claim the fires are the result of capitalism and not human malice.
@@BTG514"Alberta is at risk of severe drought this year, following several years of extremely dry conditions, and a warm and dry El Niño winter.
Now, in a historic move by the province, the largest water-sharing agreements ever have been put into place to combat the risk of severe drought.
The province announced Friday that 38 of the largest and oldest water licensees in southern Alberta have voluntarily agreed to reduce their water use if severe drought conditions materialize in the spring and summer." City News
👀 really? Your comments are as original as your opinions
darlene2709 Is a cut and paste response environmentalist, probably one of the arsons. LOL should have known.
Fires are caused by Climate change. Haven't you heard?
Arson season!

@@darlene2709 May 4th 2023 from global news: “charges laid in series of intentionally set wildfires, residential arson”
Jan 16, 2024 from daily mail “quebec climate change conspiracy theorist pleads guilty to starting 14 fires”
@@darlene2709 last year, there was over 50 wildfires in Alberta merely 2 weeks after the snow disappears and you wanna blame my V8 engine??? Pull. your. head. Outa your dark place.
Weather manipulation doesn't help.
darlene2709: The Edmonton journal reports a story of a man charged with lightning at LEAST 10 fires last year in Alberta. Eventually you need to think for yourself.
NEVER FORGET THAT ---> Brian Paré, 38, pleaded guilty to lighting 14 fires in the Chibougamau area of Quebec between May and September 2023.
Thank you
Good morning 🤝🇭🇹
Global National spent three years spreading medical disinformation regarding C19 with the full support of UA-cam.
💯
No one who got vaccinated is stuck to their refrigerator. Sheri Tenpenny, a Cleveland-based doctor was invited as an expert witness to a hearing in the Ohio House. She had a warning for legislators about coronavirus vaccines. The anti-vaccination advocate known for spreading unfounded claims falsely told legislators that the drugs could leave people magnetized.
@darlene2709 That was someone pretending to be anti-vax to make real anti-vaxers look bad, 2-sided tape or sweat is easy to stick, what’s harder to fake is football players dropping mid game with heart issues
And they're going to do it again.
Seek mental health review, or, take off your paranoid tinfoil hat.
great to hear about the fires IN hope the rain keeps up for a bit longer
Sad to hear this we don’t want again like 2016 fort mcmurry I was there that time I pray 🙏 to god
Arrests and prosecutions will prevent these wildfires
Do you have proof of arson? How do you explain the increased size & spread of these fires?
@@handymanrealityno he dosent, just spreading lies

Oh yes
Favorite line from Darren Dutchyshen... "He was all over that like a fat kid on a smartie" 😂 Rest in Peace Dutch, you will be incredibly missed. You were a true superstar for TSN.
Tomorrow is Neethu! Yaaayyy!
I watch her and follow her!! As I watch this news and I hope you wont say she is fake. Dr. Siobhan Deshauer, MD, FRCPC certified Canadian internal medicine and rheumatology specialist. Plus I have RA which is pretty cool she got into this!
Just forcing people to evacuate their home and business to get homeless?!
- Why British Columbia do not have any plans to use Drones and Satellites to monitor and prevent arsonists?
If you can not stop the fire, get help from foreign countries to stop the fire!
What was the red stuff they were spraying?
Probably this: "Phos-Chek, a fertilizer-based liquid, is one of the most commonly used fire retardants dropped from planes. It is a direct firefighting agent that contains polymers, surfactants, water, and other additives."
😊
Thank God for the Rain 🌧️🙏🙏
Even medicines are on trial. If I don't like tobtake medicine, I have mycrights not to take even if prescribed. Even doctors are not fly confident. They just try.
Someone ticked off?
We got lucky this time but pipeline pierre and his oil company scienticians know that, on average, things are going to keep getting worse and worse.
So I'm told.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Create the narrative, control the perspective! Tell the story how you want people to believe it😂😂
Then stop watching you burden on society 🤦♂️
It’s arson or the global warming🧐
POOR SECURITY
I'm from the United States, and all I have to say it... Canada, what is going on up there? What is up with all these fires? America only as two in California, that's it.
Liars liars pants on 🔥
Bah. I don't care any more.
O no no global warming there!!!
Hire some women to put out those fires
It will finally get done then !
@@thesupremeveggieburger427
Just like last year when they started a fire and couldn’t put it out

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@thesupremeveggieburger427
These women started the biggest forest fire last year 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They got it done alright 🤣👍🏻
thanks to climate change, the climate changed to cooler temperatures helping to slow forest fires
Its like you dont really understand the topic you mock so freely…
Definitely arson season. I hadn't thought it would start this early though. They're really anxious to burn it all down
Like you are setting fire or fanning the flames to the downfall of governance?
Its people like you who think “ its arson season” starting the fires
@@thesupremeveggieburger427 sure veggie burgers
Omg wow the rain came because of climate change.
