As a Japanese guy living in the States, Trevor's Japan Vlogs are 100x better than any other Japan Vlogs because it shows the genuine culture shock and the struggles he has/had to go through as well as how he's learning and overcoming those struggles. The other Japan Vlogs just show you what it's like when everything and anything goes how it's suppose to when you're in Japan for the first time and that rarely happens especially when you're riding the train for the first time. Rooting for #TeamBauer #BauerOutage
@@hellyworld9325 I wouldn't necessarily say stuff happens but trains that stop at big stations such as Shinagawa, where he gets on and off, there a 4 or 5 of the "same" trains that stop at different stations or goes the opposite way as well as 20+ different lines that runs through the station that he has to carefully navigate through. It's not like the US where one station is dedicated to one line.
As a person who pitched in HS and JUCO in the late 90's. The amount of metrics/analytics that Trevor tracks in mind-boggling. Wish I would've done some of this stuff back then. I'm a fan of this approach.

Bauer has more interesting japan vlogs than a lot of foreigners who live there for years making japan vlogs
Edit: cuz he's a pro athlete competing in a pro league overseas
Well he is doing something that isn’t really well known, documenting life in the NPB. People know what Japan is like, so it’s kinda same old
Obviously. He’s showing something extremely rare and unique
most vloggers are not also professional athletes
Because most of those people are just trying to appropriate, rather than appreciate, the culture.
@@iRunfastXC well said. I enjoy how he captures the nuance of the culture.
What happens on the train?
@@hellyworld9325 I wouldn't necessarily say stuff happens but trains that stop at big stations such as Shinagawa, where he gets on and off, there a 4 or 5 of the "same" trains that stop at different stations or goes the opposite way as well as 20+ different lines that runs through the station that he has to carefully navigate through.
It's not like the US where one station is dedicated to one line.
Love all the information we get in these videos
so happy for you Trevor, love the content!
As a person who pitched in HS and JUCO in the late 90's. The amount of metrics/analytics that Trevor tracks in mind-boggling. Wish I would've done some of this stuff back then. I'm a fan of this approach.
Wow this is a really cool channel. I love seeing those apps and the analytics of your physical readiness and tracking your pitches. Really cool
Do you know the name of the app?
man this is so cool, love seeing all of this! MLB should do this!!
Yo just started watching when u went to japan I'm loving this style vlog. A whole new insight into baseball. Nothing like it on UA-cam you got a good thing going my man. Your definately where you need to be. I'm rooting for you bro.
So stoked to see you back on the field!
I could watch these videos all day - incredible to see the highest level professional execute his craft.
I will go to see your first pitch as NPB player.
I live in Germany, and have already booked flight.
I am looking forward to seeing your pitch in Yokohama stadium😊
I just can't believe that I'm enjoying this Japan series so much and the insight that he gives has been really interesting.
