I received a Cunard brochure and never e en sailed with them! But I got a 10 night balco y cruise for 2 people out of Vancover to a Alaska cheaper then on Carnival. $2300 for both with port and taxes included!!
Princess came out with a statement in October that booking early would be the best rate you can get. My wife and I booked a February 2025 cruise with Princess at the end of October thinking this would be the best price I could get ! The price dropped 3 different times by the middle the December to a price that was $700 cheaper than my original price! Fortunately I was keeping track and was able to get the December price but I continue to check prices just in case !
I did exactly as you said in your last comments. I checked the cruise line website daily. 14 days later, bam, the cruise I had my eyes on went on sale. Since that day the fare has been on a steady climb up. FYI, It's a 10 day Greece Adriatic cruise with RCCL on Explorer Of The Seas 🌊
We found a deal for Wonder of the Seas by booking a guarantee cabin for the first time. A guaranteed Oceanview balcony was literally $2000 less than be choosing our own cabin. Another deal we recently got was on Odyssey of the Seas by choosing an obstructed ocean view… The lifeboats, partially or fully block decks six and seven, with 7 being the least obstructed. The prices were really great for these two decks, so by choosing an obstructed view cabin we were able to add another sailing for 2023.
Same! We did our first cruise back in Sept. on Wonder! We have 4 of us (2adults, 2 kiddos) so the only option was a balcony - guaranteed or choosing our own - and it saved us nearly $2,000 for the GTY room! We had a room above the boardwalk and LOVED it (minus some of the noise from playmakers but it was worth it to watch the aqua show from our balcony whenever it was happening) We’re hooked on cruising now. Thanks to CruiseTipsTV and Royal Caribbean Blog my anxiety was WAY LESS and I was able to plan ahead! Our next cruise is on Oasis in February and I can’t wait!
I booked a January 2025 cruise at the beginning of December. It is a cruise on Sky Princess, and the new deal just came out. The new deal for wave season is more than what I paid. The first price when cruise was just coming out was a better deal.
The last cruise I booked wasn't a particularly good deal, but it does go to a region I want to explore on a ship that seems all right. I'm learning as I grow older that getting the best financial deal is less important than other things.
Thank you for the tips. We booked a fall 2024 Greek Islands cruise on Carnival back in September on an older ship, the Carnival Legend and got a good deal for a balcony stateroom in a quiet location. In contrast we just booked a 7 day Princess cruise from Galveston for this February and also got a good deal for an interior stateroom. Early and late bookings both worked for us. For our Europe trip we looked at different cruise lines and Carnival won on price by thousands and we have the added bonus of sailing the same ship we went on for our honeymoon and leave exactly on our 15 year anniversary. For the Princess cruise we booked through Costco travel which for this specific booking included a $120 Costco cash card and $200 obc for the same price as the Princess site. I am excited to try Princess and am looking forward to see if the cost savings for an interior is worth it for my wife and I.
Tenacious is the best descriptor! We stay on the pulse and this is very helpful to compare and see what the trends and deals are! We had so many free inside cabins during the first days of Covid restart but that is not so much as cruising is in full swing right now! We enjoyed many low cost experiences and learned that an inside cabin is just as amazing and the services still just as fab! 😊
Hi Sheri. I'm glad things seem to be going well down on the farm. 🐄🐷🐔 I thought this was an excellent video and I don't have anything to add to it. Things are tough out in Cruise Deal Land, but not impossible.
That's a good point! I still haven't been able to find cheaper AI's, especially for the nice ones, but maybe there are some great properties that are LESS!
I've cut my travel budget in half by increasing land vacations, and cruising once every-other-year on a reposition, especially transpacific and transatlantic. While we're at this, suites are reasonable, and when you'll be spending the most time in your cabin, so why not leap up in status while we're at it?
My last two cruises MSC Seashore and Meraviglia and liked very much and paid for a balcony cabin the same of an interior on Royal , NCL or Carnival , So if the other lines keep those high prices MSC for me !!
I’ve got one coming up on NCL Epic. At the time of booking inside cabins were $500 but it’s slowly creeping up in price. Glad we booked as soon as they decided to reposition to the Caribbean for this winter. We don’t mind an older ship.
My big drawback has always been not really any decent low price fill up cruise prices on carnival out of our Home port in Galveston. There are amazing ones for Jan and Feb out of Long beach but that's the start of the year and we normally cruise for Holiday in Late Nov early December don't have the time off or funds to fly that early in the year.
I've noticed that too, and it's a big reason I haven't booked out of Galveston yet. I saw a cruise on NCL Prima in a balcony (with a drink package, wifi, gratuity) for less than Carnival - a balcony with NO added perks. That's saying something!!!!!
Sherry (not sure how you spell it) - Do you know if there are set times when the cruise lines put out their future sailings? Trying to get a cruise on either Princess, Holland, or MSC in early 2026, but those lines have yet to put those out yet...
We try to book a cruise as far in advance as possible so we can fit it in our budget. Booking only 90 days in advance just wouldn't work for. Waiting for cruise lines to put out their schedules for early 2026...
My experience with travel agents is that they don't do cruises any cheaper. And they're not flexible as much as booking direct with the cruise line. I've even found that booking through a travel agent has had cruises more expensive than booking direct with no extra perks.
At 90 days they offer upgrades for a increase in price so they can sell your more appealing cabins at higher rates upgrades are not always a deal as they r left over bad locations. Be careful
Sheri...love u so much. Been watching for 10+ years and hubby finally loves packing cubes after our last 2 cruises. 😊 So we usually book 1-2 years in advance. Celebrity Beyond Mediterranean 2022 Carnival Panorama Mexican Rivera Celebrity Solstice ALASKA 2023 Carnival Celebration Caribbean. Now we are booked 9/24 NCL Epic Greece Italy & 10/25 Celebrity Equinox ISTANBUL!!! 😅 HOWEVER I desperately need your help...hubby wants to go on a last minute cruise for my last spring break (retiring teacher of 44 years) March 9 outta LA on Discovery PRINCESS. NEVER been on PRINCESS and quite confused about the levels? Tiers? We want a balcony ( as we always do ) and would prefer NO SHOWER CURTAIN. Can you help me??? Yes we know about the 90 day timeline but we're also told to wait for 3 weeks out for a last minute deal?
Hi Debra! Here's a breakdown for you, but basically they are "add on packages" that you pay for up front (they include beverage packages, gratuities, and some more perks). MOST people find that Plus is enough (if you were going to buy a drink package, Plus is a MUST), and premiere has lots of extras, but may be a bit costly. www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages
@@CruiseTipsTV no, we don’t really gamble. We are two star Mariners in HAL so that probably helps but I’ve heard on some of the discussion groups higher star people who have never gotten an offer - so I don’t know how they decide who gets an offer and who doesn’t. 🤷♀️
Seems to me like MSC has mostly Korean and Chinese people on board. My brother was on MSC last month and 90% of the passengers were Vietnamese. They said they felt out of place they couldn't strike up conversations with noone. Guess MSC booked it out to a Vietnamese charter group again. Nothing wrong with that but i like sailing with people I can talk to and ask questions too. Would I go to Vietnam yes...would I wana be on a ship for 10days with noone to talk to No.

That is great

Sounds like you are getting some awesome deals from being creative and tenacious. LOVE this so much! Very interesting about Costco travel!
You always have great information. Thank you.
So nice of you - thank you!
Our next cruise is a group cruise at an awesome price-if you have the ability to join one (ours is a Dream Vacation one) so bonus that we could join
Omg, that dress is amazing!!!! Could you please share where you bought it? You look gorgeous in these colors. Thank you!!!
Sure thing! Here's an affiliate link- amzn.to/48dnh8F - I'm wearing a medium. It runs a BIT small and short!!
Book over a year in advance and just keep checking! i also sign up for notices on deals on cruiselines i use often.
Great tip!
Got a great deal for Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas 7 days in May in an inside cabin to Alaska for $550 each. Yay to off season deals!!
That is awesome!
Does that include airfare?
Love your top Sheri ❤❤ it's gorgeous
Thanks so much!!!
Great tips as always! Thank you.
You are so welcome!
A good way to save is to book while on a cruise. There are typically reduced deposits and on board credits included.

Mine are mostly free. $300-500 per 7 day cruise ( total) in the casino. More cruises than I cam use.
That's amazing! How much $ would you say you have to spend in the casino to get to that point though?
Only free since pandemic. 14 cruises. Same amount each cruise. You should take a poll.
Or you can book a Carnival Ensenada cruise which is always cheap except in the summer.
Great tips . Thanks ❤
Thanks for watching!
So pricey. I think I'm switching to all inclusivesinstead. Cheaper overall when you get internet and drinks included. Plus no motion sickness!
That's a good point! I still haven't been able to find cheaper AI's, especially for the nice ones, but maybe there are some great properties that are LESS!
I book early, I’m really drawn to virgin as myself and my wife don’t like big crowds so 2800 boats are great.
That’s an excellent point in size with Virgin
Good advice. Sorry… still looking for a good cruise value - haven’t found much out there - plan to try the premium lines next.
it is tough right now, agree!

Group rate is almost always the cheapest and is generally double occupancy only. Royal Caribbean tends to have it on many sailings!
