Very useful, thanks. Really impressed by Sauter's router range -- probably the best in Europe -- and quality looks excellent. I'm currently looking at either the plate + GMF solution, or a more simple router with the lift.
Thanks. Glad you found it helpful. The GMF solution works fine - it's what I use - but it isn't as finessed as a dedicated lift. On reflection, I think I would have preferred that route. Sauter as a decent range of lifts. They look simple but very well engineered. I mean to ask them at some point if I can retro-fit one of their lifts to my current plate.
Great series. Sauter seem to be be reaching out to makers such as you, The Woodgrafter and Peter Millard, all with very positive results. Waiting for the call from Sauter to offer a small emerging channel some incentive to buy from them :-) great channel please keep up the excellent videos.
Thanks RpR Makes. Yeah, they're well established in Germany but with a recent site wide translation to English, they're trying to ramp up interest from a more international market. And yeah, small upcoming channels are overlooked. A YT survey recently asked if I thought they did a good job promoting small channels. Emphatic "No" from me. My channel spent over a year in the wilderness. Keep it up though mate.
Cheers LK. In this case, a Bosch GAS 20L. A basic industrial/shop wet/dry vac but plenty of suck. I use it with fleece bags to keep the filter nice and clean. The 2 way hose is meant for Bosch's table saws but happens to fit this fence.
Do you have the Bosch GMF 1600 underneath like I do? If so, I have the fixed base permanently fixed to the insert plate. I have a hose poked through the back of the fixed router base and have just taped up the gaps. Nothing special but works well.
No. I have a split hose with one end in the router base, the other in the router fence. Extraction isn't too bad. I did build a box for the other side of the table - table saw end. Dust extraction was much worse there. The box does help a bit.
Great video as always. How do you go about adjusting the height of the router? I've got a of1400 but I was thinking of getting a Triton 001 because of the easy height adjustment once in the table.
@@johnclausen9057 good as the of1400 is as a router the tr001 is likely a better choice for a router table. Like my Bosch, not only does it have the ability to adjust height fro above the table but is also more powerful.
Excellent! Your vids make such a huge difference to amateurs like me - always grateful for your time esp when you have work to do as well! Any chance of a link to the NVR switch you use?
Thanks Danny. Really appreciate that. The exact NVR I'm using was just a private sale on eBay. The closest thing I've found to it is the Charnwood at the following link: www.machinery4wood.co.uk/product.php/site/froogle/sn/CH%2FW026/google/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAzZL-BRDnARIsAPCJs72zSf3LBf84BLFXmKzsOLoPrQPX97cmHDp6on60SHkEk047WIDnbSIaAkHdEALw_wcB
Good stuff buddy! ... in regard to the bike clamps, how do you adjust them to fit different thicknesses of material? are you cutting the threaded section to the correct length?
Good morning 🌅, Very nice router from SauterShop ,
Really digging your build amigo! Thanks for sharing! 🙏
Cheers Jose!😁👍

This comedy toy drill 🤣😂 that made me laugh, I have ben there with tools!!
Ha. I'm literally more accurate drilling by hand. The drill has gone now....thankfully.👍

Hope you are very young to have the time to wait for a call... 🤪🤣😂🤗 try to call them instead and start your business... 🤑🤑🤑👍👍👍🤗🇨🇭
Thank you for the video. I was wondering what kind of dust extraction you are using with this router table (shop vacuum)? Seems to work pretty well.

@@BischBaschBosch Thanks a lot for your answer, appreciate it! Lukas
I recently buy this system.
Do you have underside dust extraction port?

😊👍
Have you built an under table box for dust collection? I have the same configuration and I intend to make one.
No. I have a split hose with one end in the router base, the other in the router fence. Extraction isn't too bad. I did build a box for the other side of the table - table saw end. Dust extraction was much worse there. The box does help a bit.

Thanks John. The Bosch GMF fixed base has 3 height settings with 15mm micro adjust available. Works pretty well under a router table.
@@BischBaschBosch I see, I think I'm better off getting a tra001 then, changing the height of the of1400 under a table doesn't seem like a good idea.

Can you do a video on edge banding in a small workshop
I could do. Good idea for a short video that. It's very straight forward once you've done it a few times tbh.
@@BischBaschBosch good video!! :)

Cheers Ben. That's exactly it mate. I look out for ones with as short an unthreaded part as poss. Then trim and shim.👍
