Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery! - Авто та транспорт
Your acts of kindness from giving that gentleman a ride to buying dog food to purchasing a painting-all for a stranger is commendable. A great example for all of us. Eric, I love your dry sense of humor and Tom welcome aboard. You will have a lot to offer. Ed is such an example to all of us. And, Matt thank you for your kindness toward Ed. I hope that is the gold mine he has been looking for.
Taz your self lol😂
When Ed said "you guys are crazy" it was like the grandpa saying that to his grandkids, where he's secretly pleased with them, he's gotta be a great guy to hang around with
Exactly the vibe i got.
Had to be the elder and "scold" them......but was secretly like "HELL YEA!!"
Matt’s reply should be, “hold my beer.”
For sure. What a treat to be around such an awesome person. Cheers Ed🤙We love you
Absolutely 😉
I think it’s a bit of that but mostly why the hell did you bring that all the way here for two days 😂
Solid move buying from the artist and feeding his dog! Love the heart you guys have!!!!
Feeding his dog was cool... $100 for that little painting seemed like a lot but I guess that's not the point. More of a pay it forward, if the dude was scheeming and over charging than shame on him but regardless cool of Matt to pay it forward and help others out
What a joy to see this come full circle. From the day the golden nugget was rescued to it's restored return. I roared the first time watching Erik behind the wheel of the golden nugget as it was dragged to freedom. Erik deserves to have his name emblazoned somewhere on it. In fact everyone involved who had a part in its rescue and restoration should autograph this gem!
@pinchependejo-iy8leM
I actually think I recall several of them signing the underside of the hood in the Reveal video.
I've never seen a person go through all the stages of grief as fast as Eric when they told him they had to hike up that hill.
Nice to see Ed in his natural environment. He’s very much at peace camping and mining.
I agree 100% with you
How awesome! Reminding me of Ghost Town Living... be awesome to maybe see Brent help with finding Ed's mine
@@i-_-am-_-g1467 This episode reminded me of some of Brent's explorations and adventures.
Off trail exploration in wooded areas can get pretty darn hairy. We sometimes do this with mountain bikes. We call it 'bushwhacking' because we use our bikes to ram through bushes and overly vegetated areas. Its a ton of hard work, sometimes really frustrating. Sometimes we leave the bikes behind or just give up to try another day.
But when we find what we're looking for or reconstruct an old forgotten trail or shortcut, it's super rewarding.
Matt, you need to schedule a Drs appointment...your chest has to be under tremendous pressure from having such a HUGE heart! I love that you support people no matter where you are. You are a special person. BIG CHUNGUS!
You guys HAVE TO include Eric on more videos!! At 21:15, Tom Tom says, "Oh I think you should", made me LAUGH!!....then the look on Eric's face and the unfolding smile when you told him you guys were going to climb made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!!! Cutting a new belt hole at the end and he says "it's going to work!"......PRICELESS!!!
Eric is my spirit animal. I felt the look on his face when you told him you were hiking up over the point.
The act of generosity on this channel is unreal.
The Many Acts
If most people were like this we wouldn't need or have a massive government meddling in everything and liberty would reighn supreme.. and the amount of charity would have poverty almost extinct.. independent hard working self sufficient people who are community oriented and help eachother out and you'd have a very strong and resilient coSupreme.
The culture now is all about me myself and I...and acting as if they are owed everything they want by life and everyone else and it's pathetic... the energy and acts of Matt and his crew are great role models for society. Mindful that no one is perfect but this crew is top notch
I wish the amount of 'likes' would reflect that better.
I wish the amount of 'likes' would reflect that better.
@@swampypolitics9574 well said…
I have always appreciated Tom Tom's contributions to you and your projects, so the news of him moving down to work with you is awesome news. Matt, I so admire and respect the size of your heart for your family and crew. But you also bring joy to people such as Ed and the guy that you helped. Matt, you totally rock, sir!!!
That guy in the forest is a really talented artist. I bet most viewers of this channel could find some incredible artists in the own community to support. Nothing makes your walls look nicer than unique pieces of art!
Yes I wish he had some Way for us to donate
He was very wholesome
Ed is one of those characters that are so refreshing in this day and age, crazy history, adventurous and practical, thanks for highlighting him, might inspire others in the audience to reach higher. Great work.
No matter how old a man is, there is always a boy looking for adventure in there. You guys are the best. Heartfelt best wishes from🇬🇧
Very true words! I've had some great memories with my grandpa where I can see that I am sparking memories of his younger years
You guys should bring a drone to scout for the mine next time
thats what i was thinking the whole time lol be so much easier and quicker. and ed could watch the feed and help recognize it
Same lol
Was thinking the same thing!
I always enjoy when Eric makes it into a video. Cool to hear TomTom is moving to Utah. Oh and the painting Matt purchased is perfect.
Climbing in those mountains is way more difficult than you could ever relay on camera. Kudos to you guys for sticking with it!! Good to see Tom Tom joining full time as well!!
Looks like a job for a drone.
Robby Layton spends 8,000 hours getting the Golden Nugget looking pristine.... Matt takes it to find a gold mine hahaha
@@Dougtroutfisher.4046 there's a reason I don't like having nice things, I'd rather not be scared to scratch or dent things and be able to use it
@@Beandiptheredneck same. My trucks have always been mechanically good and asthetically fucked lol. Interiors stripped to basics. Exterior dents and scratches and just beat up. But runs and drives great (for the most part haha) and gets the jobs done... though my current beater daily to and from work hasn't had heat for like two to three years and I haven't had the time to fix it so here's to winter number 3 with no heat! Thank god for carhart snow suits and mini 12v windshield defrosters 🤣. But she's got brand new snow tires and chains ! And the added benefit of no one asking to carpool LOL
Yah no shame in using it for what it was built it made the shown won’t ever be back at sema so use it how you want!!!!
it should be put in a plastic bag and vacuum the air out of it to preserve it
@@Dougtroutfisher.4046 I agree they need to use it and treat it like a truck not a museum piece.
The kindness and compassion you guys give not only your crew an ed but to go outta your way to purchase dog food and a painting from a random stranger living in the woods. Just feels like a constant reminder to be kind to others even when you dont have to be! You guys are amazing!
i came to see the gold mine = not all that nothing !
Movement equals life, You’re literally keeping Ed alive
Eric is just a wholesome person, what a champ for driving the Nugget down there!!
Agreed, what a great sport. I'm envious of his ability to just "grin and bear it" when things get a little uncomfortable.
Love how Eric has a baofeng radio!
Eric was a real trooper when he was being pulled out of there when they picked up the ragged golden nugget!
@@lindsaykid9947 Trivia- Baofeng in chinese means "Bear Poop".
Everyone in this video was so wholesome, even the painter and big chungus 😁
The look on Eric's face when you told him you had to climb up that cliff. Priceless
I have never related to a man more than I related to Eric in that moment 🤣
Eric had me laughing out loud so much!
Ed seems to be 15 years younger every time he is there.
That was priceless. Ed, "you taking this back to Utah, you guys are crazy"
I really like how you all treat Ed with so much respect, love and affection. Good example for your viewers.
Thanks Matt and the Team🙏🙏
I don’t know why but just watching Matt do Matt things is one of my favorite activities. . It doesn’t have to be recoveries, fabrication or shop life. Just Matt out being Matt.
gET OFF THE cOUCH AND LIVE!
I agree Matt just loves life and if it doesn't work, he goes to the junkyard and makes something to make it work
So thrilled that Tom Tom is gonna be a permanent addition to the crew now ! This was a great video (as usual). Always great to see Eric, his laugh is contagious. I hope Ed n Fred find the good stuff 💰 🇺🇸
The memory's and the adventures you shared with Ed you'll cherish forever! Thanks for sharing with us...
Oh, no. Don't scratch the Golden Nugget (it's okay to scratch that rental truck, though--those marks will buff right out). Nice that TomTom will be even more closely tied to the MORR team--he's great at the technical side of fabrication. Good to see Eric again.
Purchasing that art was an excellent move.
Props to you.
Not only that, but the artist was pretty good!
As an artist myself, seeing you buy that art really made my day. It's people like you Matt that helps keep creativity alive!
I smiled for the entire length of this video. Thank you, Matt, Eric and Tom Tom, for being great people and most importantly, great friends of Ed. The world is a better place with people like you!
This was a fun adventure, it was so kind of you to think of Adam and his dog! Your kindness shines!
Everyone has a different opinion of what "living the dream" means. I have to admit you guys have given me a new idea of what living the dream is. Helping someone else live their dream is looking more and more like what that ideal is really about. Thanks for sharing this with us!
So good of you to help that guy get food for his pup, you're such good guys, all of you.
This channel makes me want to be a better person. Thanks to all on the team and may you continue to lift others when you can❤
If a channel makes you want to be a better person then I guarantee you won't be a better person because you shouldn't need anyone or anything to make you want to be a better person.
@@itsnoteasy5339 totally taken out of context🙄
Thanks for helping out the artist fella! Super heartwarming stuff! Oh and exploring abandoned mines is the best type of adventuring, good work. Great content as usual.
The look on Eric's face when Matt said we have to hike up there - priceless..
Anything Eric says I laugh. His presence just is just great lol.
Eric tha "spider" LoL
Eric is great. Always like seeing him in the videos.
He looked enthused about climbing up the cliff.
💯
I'm glad to see you all looking for the mine and then finding it. God bless you all.
Ed’s got to be one hell of a tough guy to go where he did on this trip. I’m not surprised Ed wasn’t too sure where the mine was, it was so long ago. But you did find a mine in the end, just needed a really good gold nugget to finish the video!
Eric looked sooo impressed when you told him he had to hike up that hill, his face said it all!
Great video, and respect to tough guy Ed.
Maybe some chicken nuggets at least!
The kindness of people from Utah is just on a new level. What a great team!
It's not just Utah. This is just small town frame of mind. It's like this all over the U.S. You wouldn't know it if you were from a large city.
Minnesota is the same. Get people from Florida all the time that talk about how weird it is that people are SO nice here in MN. Gotta be other places like Minnesota and Utah
Matt is such a good dude. It's so awesome to see a UA-camr use his wealth to help others.
Great video! I love exploring old mines and searching for them in Arizona on my yearly trek from Washington to Arizona every winter.
This video is one of my favorites since it shows the true character of Matt and his friends. The homeless artist and his dog were truly blessed by their encounter with Matt and it really showcases just how humble and gracious everyone involved in the MORR phenomenon has remained.
Will see you guys on my next trip South in a couple of months and can't wait to see the Heavy Wrecker in person!
I feel your pain looking for the mine. We looked off and on for a log cabin in thick woods for three year before it was found. Trees had fallen on it and it had 6 inches of moss on it. Well camouflage over the years. Be well, love your channel and the people that come with it. 🇨🇦
Ed expressing concern that they'll scratch his car is the funniest thing to me 😂😂😂
The Golden Nugget is probably the first vehicle he's ever owned that he cares if it gets scratched. Reminds me of my dad ❤️
I forgot to say that I hope to see Ed, with a huge smile on his face, holding up a gold nugget the size of his fist and saying that there's more where it came from!! Ed is an amazing guy, and I'd love to just sit down and talk to him for a few hours. He reminds me of my dad, who passed away in 1999, that was a veteran of WW2, and had some stories to tell.
So many great moments in this that made me laugh and cry... The look on Erics face when they told him they had to hike up the ravine was priceless. As was Matt making sure that fellows dog had food. And purchasing the painting. All precious moments. Thanks for sharing..
Helping that man out by purchasing a painting, shows Matt’s heart. Fan for life!
My son tied up a monster truck toy to another smaller truck and was pulling it around his play set singing “im Matt with MORR towing”. Then we check out today’s post and it’s you guys being the most adventurous and gracious human beings. So happy I found this channel and proudly still own my Winder towing hat.
The guy that used plywood as a door on his gold claim vehicle. "you're gonna scratch it all up!" If that isn't a clear sign of how much he loves it, nothing is.
also, nature being nature, any landmark that would count would have to be made of stone, like a big rock, other features change pretty quickly sometimes.
There is a scarlet thread of redemption that runs throughout history; it is why stories of finding what was lost, healing what was broken, and generally making better what was ruined resonate with all peoples in all places through all time. Thank you for sharing this redemptive story in which a tragic rock slide was transformed into a triumphant gift of friendship and generosity. May God continue to bless the MORR family for all your efforts continually to bring good out of misfortune.
I'm so glad that I found Matt's Off-road Recovery channel 🙌 ! Y'all am too get along like a huge family & hope with God's grace y'all find Ed's lost mine !
I love whenever Eric is involved in your adventures. His voice reminds me so much of Jonathan Winters and I love it! :D
Matt, just out doing nice things for random people he's never met before. We should all try to be more like Matt.
Wouldn't this world be a better place for it. Hold that thought. Bushyboy Oz.
Matt, id love to get out to utah and meet you. You're such a genuinely nice guy. Someone you didnt even know, and you got his dog some food, bought a painting from the guy to help him out, not many people like you anymore. Dont ever stop being a real person Matt.
Matt never ceases to amaze me with the patience and kindness!! Thanks for the inspiration!
Brother, the warmth my heart was filled with when you helped out that gentleman and his pup. Geez, the onions.
Such a crazy feeling it must be to go into a mine that Ed was in last 50 years ago, what an amazing thing you did for Ed and memorable adventure/experience you give your staff.
Thanks again folks. Matt you are blessed and you share your blessings with others. What you did for the guy and his dog is exactly what God wants us all to do. Love God and love people. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Most of those river canyons have a 1500 foot elevation change from the ridge to the river. If you are not in pretty good shape the climb out is torture. Thanks for being kind and supporting our local artists.
I’ve mentioned it early on in Matt’s UA-cam adventures but I need to say it again. Matt and his crew are some of the best humans on this earth. Simply amazing people!!!❤
Any day with a video with Eric is a good day! Thanks for sharing!
Matt, you are a great man. The world and specifically utah, needs more people like you and your crew. Thank you.
You guys are amazing! Taking care of a man and his dog. You are truly amazing people! Love you matt!
Matt, what an incredible crew you get to work with everyday. I doubt Hollywood could have put together a crew with so many diverse personalities, that all seem to complement each other and work so well together. What your crew does in each video is not just entertaining, it is educational and yes, even inspirational. You and your crew inspire us by showing how when working with a common purpose and goal, almost anything can be accomplished. Thank you...
As for tasing Eric, my vote is no! He's just too good a sport for going along, if even reluctantly at times, with the shenanigans you and the crew get into. And you can always count on him to find humor in the worst of them!
Stay true to yourselves and keep up the great work. 👍
Yep, no to tasing Eric. He is a good fellow! As to tasing a bear, not unless there are slower guys in your group! 🙂
@@seniorrider9337 obviously, tasing a bear is a last resort, because you'd have to be close enough to touch it. If you need the taser, you're hurt already.
So very cool about Tom Tom moving. Great addition to your regular crew. Saw the pumpkin, you guys! I was exhausted by the time you finished your exploring! Matt, your buying food for the dog was priceless and once again confirms what an wonderful human being you are. Keep being you dude as that Rocks!

Buying that painting was an awesome thing to do. Also, I hope to live long enough to have a long lost mine. What a legend.
The love people have for Ed is apparent and you only get that kind of respect if you deserve it.
Tom Tom is one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see his cookouts, trail engineering, fab ideas. Just an all around mellow guy!
Buying thAt man’s painting was so amazing. You totally made his day or maybe month. Not to mention making sure his fur buddy didn’t go hungry. Just huge.
I came to the channel for the vehicle related content, but I really enjoy these side adventures. Anytime spent out in the hills with some great pals is always well spent.
I will remember that 'you guys are crazy' forever! Awesome to see Ed in his natural habitat with Fred.
Tom Tom is a great addition to the team I'm glad he's moved in, Eric fits in great he's very experienced and explains his thought process well.
Matt, you really have found 'or built' a gold mine with your team and you deserve every bit of success!
Love seeing the nugget back in it's element. It's been to SEMA, pics have been taken... Now use it for what it's designed for...driving! 🥰
This adventure to find the old mine has been real enjoyable video and thank you for sharing this. This is also a tribute to Ed and I'm sure a trip of a lifetime.
Matt had the absolutely best smile! Could tell he was enjoying himself! Keep it up!!!
Most authentic and humble channel on UA-cam. Thanks for keeping it real!
The whole time watching the gulden nugget build I was afraid you made it into a show rig, too purdy to use. So cool to see her out in the woods again! I really enjoyed this episode, your a good man Matt. Keep up the great work.
Now it makes sense perhaps why Robby polished the GN before SEMA.
That's our home town! My wife and I grew up in the Nevada City/Grass Valley area....and I used to go to SPD with my mom for grocery shopping, Plus...my wife's brother is gold miner, and I mean a REAL gold miner (not just panning for gold). That's how he has made his living. We know the area around Ed's old mine well. It's too bad you didn't have time to visit the Empire Gold Mine. My wife worked there as a tour guide while in high school. (We now live in Maine).
Here's a little history of the Empire Mine (taken from their website): "Empire Mine State Historic Park is the site of one of the oldest, deepest, and richest gold mines in California. The park is in Grass Valley at 10791 East Empire Street. In operation for more than 100 years, the mine extracted 5.8 million ounces of gold before it closed in 1956. The park contains many of the mine’s buildings, the owner’s home and restored gardens, as well as the entrance to 367 miles of abandoned and flooded mine shafts."
Trivia: SPD is first letter of the last names of the the three original owners: Bert See, Lawrence Painter and Joe Dilley.
Love what you guys do Matt and Gang.
I have been following you for quite some time, since your recovery of the chevy p/u off road between 2 trees. I usually watch you from the prone position, bed to TV. Love your channel, your employees, especially Lizzie of ALL trades.......keep the good videos coming!!!!!

So excited to watch part 2 of this adventure. I hope Matt will bring along Paul and the rest of the gang and get lot's of gold!
Even if that's not Ed's mine it's super cool that you found one. Thanks for taken us along with you.
Glad to see Tom Tom is going to become a full-time member of the team. 👍
Taking some notes on how to be more kind to people on my day to day from you Matt. This guy that you helped out and bought a painting from him will remember that for the rest of his life!
Cool video. Matt, I wish that you guys would do a new series - "The life of Ed". Seriously, it would be amazing to get stories and details of his life before he's gone. Could do interviews of him, on-site video of stories, etc. I know I'm not the only one that sees things about him that remind me of my Grandpa. Take care y'all.
Matt this was a fun video for sure. I respect the way you help people and give out of your way for people.
Ed has a great family that always has his back.
This is my hometown!! Can't believe you were in my town and I had no clue in all these video's!! Dang, bummer I didn't run into you guys would have loved to meet you guys and see the golden nugget. This would have been amazing. If he hasn't been there since the 60's a lot has probably changed. Are river's get pretty big and knock and move a lot of land, so it could look 100x different. In town there is a historic place that might help with some leads or maps. Plus a lot of other places you can get info from as this county is huge for gold since the 1800's. 4 wheeling is pretty big also!
You need to watch all the videos on the golden nugget! It was a amazing!! We also leave in grass valley and can’t wait to see the golden nugget drive around in town
@@kerrylee1871 I spent 20 years in GV/NC, and wish I was still there to see this. Luckily I got to the Golden Nugget on a trip through Utah I took in July though. It’s killer.
I am still searching for the lost episode with Ed driving his Golden Nugget. It seems to be just as elusive as Ed's Gold mine. Watched this episode so excited as I thought this was the moment we will see Ed finally driving his Golden Nugget.
only time I saw Ed driving the nugget was the day it was presented to him. He drove it along the track from the hiding place to the picnic party, IIRC.
I love the way you helped out the camper without just giving a handout 👍🏽
Matt you and your crew are just such good hearted people, helping Adam and his dog out was very nice if you.
Cheers from Tokyo.
This has got to be one of my favorite videos of all time. What an awesome group of people!

One of the Top ten MORR episodes ever. Thanks for taking us all with you guys.
If there is ever a need I have and I get to pick the team to help me accomplish an impossible task, I would choose Matt, Eric and Tom faster than you could blink your eye!!!
