A huge thank you for joining me on the journey of the Microtransaction Enjoyer over the last 1100 hours! What would YOU like to see from the Zero to Hero series going forward?
I'd love to see a proper deep dive on PvP.
I feel like I don't know how to do my class's rotations in PvP.
Actually I'm in for the pvp idea
I tried to get into pvp/wvw but especially in pvp its hard for me to get into
I would say legendary armor. One set from each game mode.
Next to the legy armors I would love a proper deep dive into pvp and wvw with good explanations on what to do etc. :)
Maybe it's time for a little retirement fishing...
Man, I sure hope we get to see more of this series. Cant imagine not having you as a resource.. learned so much from this series its not even funny. So good. Thanks so much for all you've done!
Watching all Episodes of Zero to Hero back to back while playing Guild wars 2 myself made my progress feel unbelievable slow, but it was highly entertaining AND informative so thank you Mr. Teapot =D
Here is hoping for new Adventures in season 3 and in Secrets of the Obscure.
I've super enjoyed this series.
I rejoined GW2 after close to a 10 year break (played at launch and didn't come back until October of last year).
I'm slowing going through all the content in story order (playing with a small group). I'm playing a bit more than the other folks I'm playing through the story with. Rather than just racing through the content, I'd find it interesting to get your take on what extra content players should be focusing on in various content waves. HoT, SSN 3, PoF, et al.
Also, I have Alt-itis and seeing you manage gearing and builds for each profession would be amazing.
Damn I hope this isn't the end, I love just watching you go about Guild Wars 2 and the wealth of information I had gotten from this series. Thank you for doing this!
There's a reason this takes a while. Most people have jobs haha
Although new players don't know what to do. I didn't know till perhaps 2020. I just did Silverwastes a bunch and VB. As well as the world bosses. The game needs to teach the player better as you level.
People really need to not take this series as a benchmark or realistic expectation. Teapot has:
1. 3+ YEARS (actual years) of time spent in GW2. More knowledge and experience than possible for most people over their lifetimes
2. No job to conflict
3. Large community. Makes all Legendary collections easy. Makes pugging fractals and strikes easy (he can argue it doesn't, but you know people will accept him in squads and/or try to perform better knowing he's streaming).
This shouldn't be taken at much more than a fun self-challenge. This is pretty far from realistic for the average player
@@VamanaGW2 Yeah agreed 100%, when he says "It's so easy to make gold guys".. Like sure if you know what you're doing, what items you have and how to turn them into gold it is.. But the vast majority of players don't understand this.. and I'd argue its at fault of Anet.. The game does really well at guiding and teaching some things.. But most players get to 80 and don't understand how to interact with a break bar, and they also don't get how to get money since most people equate money with gold in your bag. I'd love to see a simple video from him about gold and explaining that you're getting it, just not seeing it.

Hey Tpot please continue this series man! It helped so many people and its really fun to watch even though I don't play the game due to my mental health.
Season 3: hero to bigger hero.
I started a fresh account and basically 100% as I went. 100% map completed and made a g1 legendary. Then moved to HoT and worked until I finished what I could for masteries then made a g2 legendary. Then went onto pof and so on and so on. 1 fresh acc. Only charecters on it is a maxed kitted necro and a thief. The necro is for specifically pvp, wvw, fractal, raids and the thief was primarily for map completing making it faster. I'm still going on it next will be legend armor for the thief and he needs a legendary short bow then I'll have 8 legendary weapons in total. I'm only about 890hr in I'm trying to see how far I can go before the 1khr mark. I started my acc when you did and definitely took more breaks than you. 😅 But I'm getting there. This is a genuinely fun challenge and I hope more people do this. I did do a lot of content with friends though. I didn't go too "I'm a noob new acc" rp. But I've been playing guild wars since launch of gw1. 15khr in gw2 and more in gw1. Gwamm on 2 accs. 2023... Man I forget how much time has passed sometimes. I'm starting to remember hearing that Prof Pre music when you meet Gwen for the first time. Take me back. 😭
I think one of thing which would make sense to do once the new expansion arrives it to take a proper look at the new daily system. See how the progression goes if you complete that every day.
But you're right, in 1000 hours you've gotten your account to more or less the same place my account is, where you engage with the same activities and do the same stuff. What you're engaging with now is weekly resets and the usual GW2 endgame.
Get one of the pvp titles like the Baron of the arena or higher. Also maybe do the new legendary armor sets that comes out with Soto and possibly legendary Relics. While you're at it get some sigils and runes as well.(if you don't have them already)

Thank you @MightyTeapot for the 02H series. It gave me whole new perspective. Could you maybe do a 02H or some kind of "how to" for pvp? I got into fractal CMs, raid CMs but still strugle between silver and gold in the arena. Was looking for some intermediate tips how to get better, but could not find anything that would work. Could you maybe share some of your knowledge in this matter?

Wold love to see some 1h long pvp videos with u just explaining ur midset while playing pvp (builds, traits, weapons, positioning). Im just about where you are now so looking to get into PvP again now😅
Is crafting legendaries and selling them (if you do material metas) the best way to maximize your gold earning? I really like running drizzlewood
Season 2 has basically highlighted why I don't really enjoy the game as much as I used to; because everything revolves around getting gold as efficiently as possible and upping your account value.
One of the few things I did enjoy since EoD were the fishing collections. Not exactly super involved, entertaining content overall but it was a unique experience in a game where I've spent thousands of hours beating the same content and bosses on repeat.
Mind you, once I finished, I didn't go back to it, so what does that really say about the content itself? Hmm.

Hi TeaPot, what do you mean when you mention the exploit necklace? I looked for info on the Rusted Necklace of the mists, but can´t find anything.
did u only play with celestial gear or u got harriers and ritualist later? also, any advice on how to do the Ad Infinitum achievments?
Wait, what? Maxing out Magic Find next season!? I've been working at it for 10ish years and am at 256%! Is the trick having a whole bunch of money to buy tons of Ectoplasm and then salvage it all?
I mean you can buy gear for salvage and just hurry up the process
It costs about 1000g I think to do with ectos -> dust -> ectos -> dust etc, depends on prices I'm not sure exactly.
Would you maybe want to start over again, but this time on a class that isn't guardian? maybe a revenant playthrough?

There's achievement hunting - a very big part of the game, if you think about just how much of it the game has. It's like back-end content, but it IS something to do after all. Wardrobe skin unlocks is also a thing to strive for, if you're an absolute completionist. Title hunting also taps into the above. But this is all very grindy and probably not ideal for online content.
I can't believe how much money you have made. I have a 900 hr account that I MAYBE made 4k gold in total on, and that's with a huuuge RNG drop that was more than half my total gold. I also have barely touched fractals/strikes, though.
Please do PVP! Running through all elite specs and bring then into pvp would be so cool to watch

While all this is crazy dedication, Pot, and I salute you, but you should try to play the game as a new player perspective.... assuming you have the nerve to play and level up without using gateways and all your previous knowledge about the game to escape different routes, like you did on this account. You can even limit yourself like; full leveling experience, playing the story, you can only join in groups (not creating), mounts according to the new leveling experience, not going back and forth until you got your mounts. I think you can teach the players thing or two, if you have the will to do these series, and how you should play the game properly. In other words; gameplay done by the book for GW2.
Thing is, I would NEVER play a game like that as a new player. This is one of the things I think that is a bit counterintutive - I will never be in a situation where I don't have knowledge because I'll always just look it up and find resources, I'm also very willing to just randomly try stuff as well.
You are basically asking for me to deliberately make every single mistake people make and actively don't learn anything, the issue is I would never advise that, it's an extremely ineffective way to approach games!
Because of the way I approach games, I don't encounter a lot of common problems that new players report no matter the game and no matter my knowledge level.
The reason I make groups is because it works, trying to join other groups without discord as a new player is an absolutely god awful strategy lol, there is a reason I do things the way I do in the zero to hero.
But be aware: I will make my own group/raid in ANY game no matter my knowledge level, I have always made groups because I don't like wasting my time waiting for other people lol. And this mentality and approach I have is exactly why I can drop into any game and very easily find my feet, I'd be confident in any game, any genre, zero knowledge purely because I'm confident that my broad strategy will work.
Try doing a self imposed hardcode mode maybe??

I think it'd be cool to see how you approach a new xpac for people which is obvious but also hunting difficult achievements would be cool. Try to unlock a lot of achievements.

You say you beat the game but I'm Not seeing any good transmog you may have beaten Guild Wars2 but you haven't EVEN STARTED the real end game OF FASHIONS WARS 2

HOW do you get all the clovers needed for all the legendarys? I guess if you grind WvW hour after hour... But... For a person that HATES WvW. My soul dies every second i do WvW. I think the gameplay of WvW is Sooooooooo boring. It makes me stop playing the game. So... whats the solution for aaaaaaall the clovers needed "that kind of person" (me, WvW hater)? I mean... Im workng on Legendary Vision right now. 77 clovers. My soul is DEAD... "just" finishing Aurora. xD
I mostly bought the weekly ones from fractals raids and strikes.
@@MightyTeapot Ty for tips! And your constant valuable GW2 vids and streams. (Just throwing this in there... as a not fully thought through idea. And since you are much closer to the GW2 team than i am xD). What about being able to activate rewardtracks for ALL zones in the game? Not only WvW. When you are finished with mastery points and just keep getting exp and shards. How about having the option to "skip shards" and go for a reward track instead? That way people like me (:P) are not forced into gameplay we hate. We can do big map metas, casual open world rotations and get reward tracks EXP for it. (rant. Sorry!) Much love!
@@lorens2143 Well the reward tracks just give you the same stuff that you get from PvE haha so that's not really needed. The exception is gift of battle.
@@MightyTeapot But the clovers tho? Thats the one and only way to get clovers, right? Except from the weakly vendors you mentioned? (witch one of them are with WvW currency anyways so... fuck me xD) No? Or can i get clovers from Just random world PvE. Im just after the clovers from reward tracks :D I dont care about the rest. The rest is just ordinary gameplay. Clovers is the "bull shit, quit the game-kind of currency" for me xD
@@lorens2143 Well you just farm the gold and the make them in the mystic forge which will be very time efficient, that's what the spirit shards are for! Best way is always planning ahead though with the weekly vendors.

its funny that you said the collections is nothing compared to the gold grind for the legendaries - i noticed that too. i made ascension and its been a while since i made a legendary so i actually was really close with my t6 mats. afterwards i was looking at conflux on gw2efficiencies crafting to see how far away i am, and the pyrchase of all the t6,5,4 etc mats are like 600g at least lol orz i was humbled by how much gold i saved with ascension by how much mats i accumulated unknowingly as i play the game lol
