1. Buy online so you have a receipt on on your phone so you can find it later.
2. Before making your return, call 1-888-3KOBALT and ask for a return authorization or reference number.

So I purchased a 1/2 inch impact driver to use when pulling tires and wheels off my trucks. Anyway I got the 24v Max 4ah extended run battery with it and it didn’t last anytime at all. They wouldn’t exchange it or anything. I bought another battery online and it went bad after 8 or 9 discharge and charging cycles. When I say went bad I mean it wouldn’t charge all the way. It would stop charging showing that it should be fully charged but the battery itself would have a bar missing then next time another bar and so on until it would only have one bar after a charging cycle. I’ve came to the conclusion that Kobalt tools suck major monkey balls and went back to Hilti products
