I just attached cables to main battery negative and positive inside the battery bypassing the BMS and charge the battery with $3 buck booster using $10 200 watts solar panel, battery gets charged by direct method and discharge up to the safe limit.

My battery is an OP40602VNM, 40v 6ah, bought in 2001 (past warranty, alas). I had charged it to full two months ago, but now it is dead (stored in garage). The voltage between T1 and T2 is 0.0v, between T3 and T4 it is about 0.15v. On the charger, I get the alternating green/red flashing lights. Clicking the battery test button gets no result - no LEDs alight. I have tried shorting between RST and GND with no result; also between RST and 3.3v with no result. Putting it back on the charger just results in the flashing red/green again. Any ideas?

Whew - you are deeper than I have been on that one so don’t know that I will be able to help you out there. 2001 seems really old - I think that was back in the day of Ryobi blue / yellow. Maybe 2011?
Interesting you aren’t getting anything with the reset short - I have seen a couple other videos with a variety of ways to give some additional charge to the battery but haven’t tried those out as it stands. Good luck with the fix and thanks for commenting on the video!

Hate to hear the hack wasn't working for you. One of my two attempts failed as well and I ended up with 1 of the 2 being a brick battery but the other is working fine and just used it this afternoon for string trimming my yard. Appreciate you sharing and commenting - sorry I didn't have a better fix for the specific situation where the jumper fix isn't working.

My battery is going what the second one is doing, it resets and then gives me one blinking light. But then the second time I click the battery button it goes back to 4 blinking lights! So it won’t charge and won’t reset

Rats - sounds like you are having the issue I had with the battery that I couldn’t get to do more than reset and it still wouldn’t take a charge. Hopefully, we’ll get someone else to comment on how to fix that specific scenario / situation. After I reset that one, even though it was blinking, I put it in my leaf blower and it ran for about four seconds then died again. At this point, not sure what the fix is if anything for that specific combo but would love to hear if others have had success with a hack for that (e.g., the old battery in the freezer trick or something else). Hate that for you, brother! Good luck and best wishes!
