I think that was the Antonov AN-124. The biggest plane they made, the AN-225 was destroyed in the Ukraine war. It’s amazing that there are planes that huge and can carry so much cargo for long distances. I see C-5 Galaxy’s everyday where I live and I never get bored of them.

@Alejandro Flores your fuel rail sensor will not show an increase in pressure with boost. It is relative and will only show your base pressure, as the referenced boost is subtracted from the total value. For some reason Ford has it boost referenced but doesn't use it in the PID value. So when you read the datalog you just want to see it stay consistent +/- 5 psi of base pressure as regulator is constantly adjusting itself. Just an FYI from a fellow high boost GT500 owner. I would also look at the rail pressure while cranking when it won't start and that will tell you if it's a fuel pump issue. also I would unplug each pump individually so you just have one pump running and see if each pump can maintain base pressure while idling, may just be a bad pump, at your power level you need all 3 pumps to sustain the AFR you are commanding.
Hey Alex you probably already know this but, I would deffinantly check grounds to the fuel pumps. It's possible shaking the tire that violently is shaking a ground loose. I find it odd it won't start right after a pull that's why I'm suggesting might be a ground issue on the pumps. Zr1 looking good hope you get the Shelby running right soon.
I really like this series on the GT500. Making a car with just one niche, if you will, a better overall car. You are indeed very much correct about if you can't drive it to the track and back home, it's not a street car. It's just a race car that you're driving on the street. An accident waiting to happen. Say what you will, I don't see any other 8sec th400 gt500s making 60-130 pulls on the streets, shows how far this car has come under your ownership. Hope you get that fueling issue sorted out. 2 degree IAT2 rise over the course over a pull like that is bad ass!

It acts like the fuel pump driver module is overheating. If you are using the factory FPDM to trigger the fuel pump relays, try using a toggle switch straight to the battery.
took my car to a shop to put tips on and when i picked it up they were like that. Was like wtf and pissed BUT they grew on me on my application. But still was gonna go back. Now my 1990 gt i hated i couldnt see the exhaust but wouldnt cut the gt bumper so after 3 tries i got a lil bit of tip to show 😉 without scraping everytime i pulled into a parking lot
Definitely get back to us with the issue. I would love to see the difference between the current CAI and a DD149. I would bet the DD makes 15-20 rear wheel more than the JLT.
Alex, I would check all of your grounds. I had a C5 that would stall under decel after a hit. Ended up being a ground on the head. After 12-15 min it would start right back up like nothing had happened. My hypothesis is that the increased demand/flow of electrons heated the wire that was poorly grounded and eventually went to infinite resistance. I'm curious to see if something is loose in relation to your fuel pump driver. I assume that it controls both pumps?
alternator issues when you spin them different is the weird problems ive had. changing pulleys and or supercharger pulleys spinning and underdrive dont work with supposedly the cutoff off my alternator clutch is what mechanic told me and he got it right with proper alternator and pulleys
Hey Alex a little off topic. What catch can are you running on this car? I have the upr can that atteches to the firewall with check valves. But nothing on passenger side.
It seems like you have a weak pump and one strong one, with just enough to have a wot once or twice and it loses a pump on decel. Still hauls ass with fueling issues. Do you have a pressure gauge/sensor to read each pumps output individually?
I’d pull the hat and make sure there isn’t a leak between the fuel pump outlets and the hat. I’ve also had an issues with fuel pump getting air locked after a pull If the car was under 1/4 tank never really figured that out but it went away after changing the fuel pump set up
I fly C-5’s all over the world and have only ever seen one in the wild! Pretty cool to see our Ukrainian counterparts stateside. They might leave Palm Beach with some pretty Colombian stowaways though 🤣
275/60 on a 15 is plenty for something under 550 rwhp. I had some et street r in that size on a 550 rwhp bolt on 07 gt500 with 4.10 gears it would dead hook 2nd at 30 psi street pressure with no burnout when the tires were new. Even when they were worn out they still hooked 2nd pretty good. You could even do 1st gear pulls. Yes it would spin them some in first but it mostly put power down and on a hard 1-2 powershift on certain pavement it would get a little wiggly in the ass with traction control off but overall they done amazing at that power level. I'm at 750 wheel now with a gen3r I'm gonna go with a 325/50 in the same tire and upgrade my suspension. The current 295/55 et street ss are not cutting it. They won't hook 2nd I'm thinking about going to a taller gear I do like the 410s with the tr6060 the gearing is great if I could actually get it to stick I could always go taller on the gearing I'm gonna try wider more aggressive tires and suspension upgrades first and go from there.

@@incognitofilms58If you have a 17”, go with the 305/45r17. A lot of high HP s550s run that tire, including Midnight Performance cars. The 275/60r15 is more for s197s since we can run that tire without doing a brake conversion like s550s.

@@incognitofilms58 I would go 26”, but also keep in mind your car is gonna be super low in the front with that tire, so if you have long tubes, you’ll be scraping everywhere. I opted for 28” on my car since it keeps the front end a little higher, but if you just care about going faster, then just go 26”.

Check the alternator output voltage it might not be charging wich would explain the stall/no start issue and also the low fuel pressure due to low voltage at the pumps just a thought.

It’s a 2016, so it still came with the Gen1 Voodoo, which isn’t as refined as the Gen2, but can still hold upwards of 800whp. I entered to win, but 1320 has such a big following, it’s gonna be like entering to win the lottery.

He told me when I messaged him that the engine had been replaced with the Gen 2 because Ford had that oil consumption issue and I thik another thing. So the good news is it's the Gen 2 for sure. Good luck, it is a sharp ride for sure though. The 15K will be eaten up by taxes, then you have to pay taxes for the 15K at the end of the year. Catch 22 for sure.
Hooking without fueling issues is a huge deal. It's not like a 1 tenth difference this car can prob get into the 3s if he can get it to hook with no fueling issues. It's just making just under 1000 wheel that is extremely solid times for his power level considering its a full weight street car with extra stuff in the trunk.

As crazy as it might sounds I had a older f150 that did that changed the radiator cap and it fixed it 😂 not kidding not saying that’s the problem just saying what happened to me
