Felt like my left knee was hanging together by the tissue. Walked with severe limp. Indian guy who owns the deli hands me a bag of turmeric. Says mix with warm milk before bed. Woke up the next day, THE VERY NEXT DAY, and my knee was about 75% better. The day after that, no limp and pain free. Never even heard of turmeric before. Now I drink it mixed with hot green tea and organic honey. Its an absolute miracle.

He didn't sell this in his store so he went out of his way to get it for me, free of charge. I haven't seen any in bags since. I will use anything ground with a touch of black or cayenne pepper.

I have started making my own tea using ginger, cinnamon and bayleaf. It taste really good with honey. Been taking it for a month and have lost belly fat. Really awesome.
I've had a terrible cholesterol forming in my left leg each day I'll wake up not feeling my left leg, it went going numb sometimes. I've started to eat spicy food, especially 1 raw garlic a day in the morning or before going to bed. And after 1 week I'm feeling good and my blood flows got to normal.
I've been using a number of spices including many of the ones that you mentioned. I've been using them since I got covid last year. Mainly for the antioxidants. And the more I hear about the excellent properties found in many of these spices it's encouraging. Thank you for this video it's been very informative to me.
I hope you did not start taking them while you had covid. if you did your lucky you didnt die. antioxidants should not be taken while battling a disease or cancer. oxidants are what the body uses to destroy viruses and cancer.
Rosemary, Thyme and Parsley are not spices. They are herbs and very nice they are too. Tip of the week. If you've eaten garlic and have garlic breath, chew a couple of sprigs of Parlsey. It will help to neutralise the garlic smell. I frequently cook with the herbs and spices mentioned here. My favourite is Cardomom. I love the aroma of it and the taste of it. If you are making boiled rice, put a few Cardomom pods, a few Cloves and a Star Anise in with the rice. Makes it very special. For a quick and easy version of pilau rice, add a pinch of Turmeric (don't use a lot as it can be bitter) and sprinkle in some Cumin seeds. Great list, but i really miss aronia berries on it. As I heard, Aronia not only can decrease inflammatory processes but is also able to reduce existing fat layers within blood vessels. Since I figured that out, i try to eat or drink a small amount of aronia berries or juice as often as possible. (excuse my poor english)

Agreed. Don't mess with anything bloodwise if you have heart or blood issues. Consult your doctor, and with their guidance, continue gently. Releasing something that has been stuck for years could be a huge heart attack waiting - BE VERY CAREFUL.
My vascular problems were being treated with drugs for some time until I switched to turmeric and most of the other spices in this video. Now I am off those drugs and, most importantly, I am very physically active. And healthy into my eighties. I hope you gain the confidence to eventually walk away for some of those drugs.

Turmeric is easy to grow and very beautiful as a house plant. Like ginger (they are the same family of plants) it makes lovely foliage but also a beautiful flower. It should be kept as a container plant as it can be take over the garden. Garlic is easy to grow and there are many varities. It makes a lovely "border" plant and looks a good bit like a spring onion but larger. The foliage is eatable too. Plant it once and take fresh when you need or want iy. It comes back every year and stays alive under the ground. The only herb or spice named that I do not grow is cinnamon and clove.
@@JV-oi6ch Not true. Depends on what part of South Asia you are talking about. Those herbs are used more in South Indian cuisine. So ALL of the spices/herbs mentioned in the video ARE used in some type of Indian cooking. Your comment applies mainly to North Indian cuisine.

I use them every day.👍I use the homemade turmeric paste w/ homemade honey daily, very good for healing our joints❗️This is a true story: I was having pain in the top of my foot, 1st foot Dr I saw injected it. The injection was very painful & never did a thing for the pain. Right❗️I go for a 2nd opinion & this foot Dr gave me an injection which did nothing for pain. A friend gave me a recipe for the turmeric paste. You start out taking 1/4 tsp daily. the night I made it, I thought to myself I’m going to rub this paste on the top of my foot, so I did. Paste, gauze pad, wrapped it with an elastic bandage faithfully every night &mornings for about 2 months. They wanted to replace the joint in the top of my foot☹️absolutely not I said & prayed for God to show me what to do. A church friend of mine told me about the turmeric paste🙋♀️❤️I’m walking again & no pain❗️Praise God,🙋♀️❤️ I’m too the point I trust Jesus only & not man❗️sometimes we do need Dr’s. This is all good news because I love curries and Indian food, and Italian food as well, and you can incorporate loads of these herbs and spices into those foods. I also wonder if this may play a part in explaining why Italian and Indian people are known to live to very old ages... Certainly that and the relative lack of refined sugar in their diets.

Ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise are since Hipocrates part of hot red wine in winter, called hipocras / ipocras, or with white wine, called claret, consumed a lot in winter in France and in the Alpes, german name "Glühwein". I use these spices also without wine as a spicy healthy tea in winter. The same spice combination and apples is also added red cabbage in the regions of the Alpes in winter toward the end of cooking in red wine.

I take a pound of peeled garlic cloves put them in a food processor and turn them into mush the consistency of applesauce put that in a 2.5 pound honey jar and top off with RAW honey. Leave room for it to bubble and dont put the lid on tight for the first month. It makes a great immune system booster. 1 or 2 teaspoons a day. Have not been sick since I started doing that (20 momths). Does not need to be refrigerated, will not spoil.

This is a very helpful video. Most of these spices are a part of my daily regimen and after years of using them my blood tests all register in the desired range. I want to testify about turmeric. I have had a skin condition since I was a small child that persisted all these many decades until I started taking turmeric. After about a year it cleared up along with a distortion in my finger nails. I have been taking this and the others for more than twenty years and recommend them. I heard of turmeric while trolling the internet. People have been reporting it's positive effects on psoriasis and that was what got me started. Call it my gateway spice.

I have been collecting all kinds of health books and ordered these sheets about different vitamins and herb's to read upon on ways they can help fight the different health problems that we have to fight each and everyday. Herb's is all they had back in ancient times and they lived longer because they are natural and doesn't have the side effects like the prescriptions that doctor's prescribe which is why you hear that doctor's don't like stuff like this to be mentioned because that's money 💲 out of their pockets! For people who can’t handle these spices because of digestive issues look into dandelion. Regular exposure to clove damages mucosa by reducing blood supply. and causes the tissue to become necrotic ( mucosa lines your mouth sinuses and entire digestive tract)
I agree about dandelions…….we NEVER spray these , in our lawn…..as they are one of the most BENEFICIAL plants on earth….you can eat every part ( except the “ milk in the stem, ) but the leaves , when large, are bitter….use the young, tender leaves in one of your omelettes.🤗

No sources, says "studies" and "discovered" but not when and by whom. Claims and no receipts doesn't seem information-purposed to me. If they have done the work to verify their ideas then sourcing their claims is trivial, but they haven't done it.
I have been using turmeric & ceylon cinnamon for many years. I make a tea of it. My cholesterol is still high. I walk 4 miles a day 5-6 days a week strength train twice a week. I just turned 62.
Nice. I already garlic, cayenne pepper and real chilli powder in my pinto bean batches. Rosemary I've only used in my venison sauce. I can easily add some ginger to that. How much of these spices are enough to make a difference? In North America we usually use spices to enhance flavor as opposed to India where they load up on spices as the hot climate necessity set the staple.
Just use them as you like. Surely you have other dishes that (can) use spices. Otherwise there's a world out there to discover. It is a misconception that Indian dishes are all loaded up on spices. And if you make them yourself you can always tone down on the spices to the level that you think is right. Just keep tasting whilst cooking. I often take to the internet for recipies to get ideas and hardly ever stick to a recipe.

I’m no expert but in my research about cinnamon, what I have found is that there are different types of cinnamon. Cassia cinnamon is a lower quality cinnamon from the bark of a different tree and too much of it over time can harm your liver. Ceylon cinnamon is a higher quality cinnamon that will not harm your liver, it’s harder to find but not impossible. I just thought I’d let you know what I’ve learned but please do your own research. @@pilgrim985 I have read the same about Cassia and Ceylon cinnamon, the problem is that the quality of the Ceylon cinnamon is being altered and it is almost imposible to be sure of getting authentic Ceylon cinnamon. What I have seen is that some cinnamon sticks have darker, tougher bark in the inside and its outside is the lighter Ceylon cinnamon. Myself, once i finish the cinnamon I have I am planning not to get any cinnamon at all unless I find a good one with clear bark in the inside and in the outside. The same with olive oil that can be altered and the honey and and and

My friend had super high cholesterol a d the RX medicine made her sick. She ate a bowl of oatmeal everyday and 3 months later her levels were normal!!! I still cant believe it but oatmeal really does work!

If most of us ate natural God given foods, we would be better medically, mentally, spiritually. And the "work stress" wouldn't even be a factor because our bodies would be so much better equipped, naturally, to fight stress.

Organic is not cheap either, so now to even this "godly" given food, you have to guess what, now work even harder because the job you have doesn't pay a damn.
golden rules 1. eat seasonal veggies and fruits only. take time to cook meals and don't keep it for long 2.avoid canned and frozen goods and ready meals 3. stop drinking soda, plain water is the way to go, tea and coffee in moderation 4 avoid processed foods and sweets, no white sugar use honey or raw sugar as sweetner. 5. don't smoke and drink only little amounts , 6. reduce meat consumption, any kind, fried food follow it and your arteries and lungs are super healthy.follow grannies recipes and don't overeat.

Crush cardmom seeds after removing the skins and add it to tea with a drop or two of rosewater ! Delicious with honey and even a touch of a few saffron threads! All really good for you! I drink black tea with milk but you can substitute oatmilk, It will taste the same. I know people prefer green tea which is also of course fabulous for you, but I’m a brat and I need my black tea with milk but this way it’s really delicious
Omg.thank God since I literally chew turmeric now daily and I can eat 7 cloves of raw garlic and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon mixed into a teaspoon of raw honey. I'm going to eat all the others now too. Thanks
I make a very good tea...I start out with chamomile tea, mainly because it is relaxing, and I make this tea at night. But, it can be made anytime with green tea for those benefits, or any mild tea. I score one or two garlic cloves, drop them into the hot tea. Then I add a sprinkle of TURMERIC, and cinnamon, and ginger, and a few drops of honey, or my monkfruit/ Stevia blend sugar substitute, which I think is so good because it doesn't have the after taste of many other sugar substitutes. Honey has other health benefits, but I avoid sugar, and use honey sparingly I used to hate TURMERIC, but it is a nice blend with other spices. Now .I wonder why we can't grow it. Or can we?
The first four is regularly in my diet. I boil cinnamon sticks and cloves it is very good without even sweeting it. The Ceylon cinnamon sticks are the best. I have cut up ginger with the cloves and cinnamon sticks and it’s good cold too...
i am hypertensive if ever i do have emergemcy n no available medicine in my cabinet i used to take one piece of garlic n my hypertension gone as magic amazing i took my bp 15 to 30 minutes
There's a difference between spices and herbs. One cannot call every one of these spices without being wrong. Just pointing that out for those who may not know. TY.
@@brizstoner2442 1 small apple (peeled) or 1.5 cups of cherries during cherry season. I sometimes use frozen cherries. Juice from one lemon, 1 tablespoon GOOD Olive oil (I use Olio Nuevo, which I've read has the best content of needed nutrients), .5 inch turmeric root (I get whole root, I don't use the preground spice), 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, teaspoon of cinnamon, half teaspoon cloves, .5 inch ginger root (whole root, not ground spices), pinch of cayenne (more if you like it, it's good for your heart). I put it all in the blender, add unsweetened almond milk and pulse. I don't know how much almond milk, I just pour in until it looks good, then add a little if I need to. I've tried this with different things, like juice from an orange instead of a lemon, with cranberry juice (freshly made, not bottled from the grocery store), peeled and pitted grapes, half a small banana... If it's good for you, try it until you get a flavor you like and that you'll drink daily. Or, mix it up so it's a little different every day. Edit - Don't forget to strain before drinking!!!! I use cheesecloth and a fine mesh strainer is what I use. LOTS AND LOTS of pulp in there if you don't strain. I personally don't like that.

He didn't sell this in his store so he went out of his way to get it for me, free of charge. I haven't seen any in bags since. I will use anything ground with a touch of black or cayenne pepper.

I've had a terrible cholesterol forming in my left leg each day I'll wake up not feeling my left leg, it went going numb sometimes. I've started to eat spicy food, especially 1 raw garlic a day in the morning or before going to bed. And after 1 week I'm feeling good and my blood flows got to normal.

I've been using a number of spices including many of the ones that you mentioned. I've been using them since I got covid last year. Mainly for the antioxidants. And the more I hear about the excellent properties found in many of these spices it's encouraging. Thank you for this video it's been very informative to me.

Rosemary, Thyme and Parsley are not spices. They are herbs and very nice they are too. Tip of the week. If you've eaten garlic and have garlic breath, chew a couple of sprigs of Parlsey. It will help to neutralise the garlic smell. I frequently cook with the herbs and spices mentioned here. My favourite is Cardomom. I love the aroma of it and the taste of it. If you are making boiled rice, put a few Cardomom pods, a few Cloves and a Star Anise in with the rice. Makes it very special. For a quick and easy version of pilau rice, add a pinch of Turmeric (don't use a lot as it can be bitter) and sprinkle in some Cumin seeds. Lovely 😋 I'm a Brit who loves cooking Asian cuisine in case anyone's wondering.

Great list, but i really miss aronia berries on it. As I heard, Aronia not only can decrease inflammatory processes but is also able to reduce existing fat layers within blood vessels. Since I figured that out, i try to eat or drink a small amount of aronia berries or juice as often as possible. (excuse my poor english)

I use all of these. If you use them in different recipes you don't even notice. I tend to forget what it does for me. When I actually don't use the spices. I can feel a big difference. Immediately, I have to add spices back into my diet. Some spices I make precautions to use to prevent pain inflammation and many other health issues. I add those spices into Bragg's Apple cider. I take a few tablespoons A-day and it helps with a lot of daily ailments. Such as arthritis, spine, neck, hands, legs, feet, heart and all volumes of pain and swelling. Spices are a necessity as much as food itself.

My vascular problems were being treated with drugs for some time until I switched to turmeric and most of the other spices in this video. Now I am off those drugs and, most importantly, I am very physically active. And healthy into my eighties. I hope you gain the confidence to eventually walk away for some of those drugs.

Turmeric is easy to grow and very beautiful as a house plant. Like ginger (they are the same family of plants) it makes lovely foliage but also a beautiful flower. It should be kept as a container plant as it can be take over the garden. Garlic is easy to grow and there are many varities. It makes a lovely "border" plant and looks a good bit like a spring onion but larger. The foliage is eatable too. Plant it once and take fresh when you need or want iy. It comes back every year and stays alive under the ground. The only herb or spice named that I do not grow is cinnamon and clove.

I use them every day.👍I use the homemade turmeric paste w/ homemade honey daily, very good for healing our joints❗️This is a true story: I was having pain in the top of my foot, 1st foot Dr I saw injected it. The injection was very painful & never did a thing for the pain. Right❗️I go for a 2nd opinion & this foot Dr gave me an injection which did nothing for pain. A friend gave me a recipe for the turmeric paste. You start out taking 1/4 tsp daily. the night I made it, I thought to myself I’m going to rub this paste on the top of my foot, so I did. Paste, gauze pad, wrapped it with an elastic bandage faithfully every night &mornings for about 2 months. They wanted to replace the joint in the top of my foot☹️absolutely not I said & prayed for God to show me what to do. A church friend of mine told me about the turmeric paste🙋♀️❤️I’m walking again & no pain❗️Praise God,🙋♀️❤️ I’m too the point I trust Jesus only & not man❗️sometimes we do need Dr’s. Ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise are since Hipocrates part of hot red wine in winter, called hipocras / ipocras, or with white wine, called claret, consumed a lot in winter in France and in the Alpes, german name "Glühwein". I use these spices also without wine as a spicy healthy tea in winter. The same spice combination and apples is also added red cabbage in the regions of the Alpes in winter toward the end of cooking in red wine.

I take a pound of peeled garlic cloves put them in a food processor and turn them into mush the consistency of applesauce put that in a 2.5 pound honey jar and top off with RAW honey. Leave room for it to bubble and dont put the lid on tight for the first month. It makes a great immune system booster. 1 or 2 teaspoons a day. Have not been sick since I started doing that (20 momths). Does not need to be refrigerated, will not spoil.

This is a very helpful video. Most of these spices are a part of my daily regimen and after years of using them my blood tests all register in the desired range. I want to testify about turmeric. I have had a skin condition since I was a small child that persisted all these many decades until I started taking turmeric. After about a year it cleared up along with a distortion in my finger nails. I have been taking this and the others for more than twenty years and recommend them.
I heard of turmeric while trolling the internet. People have been reporting it's positive effects on psoriasis and that was what got me started. Call it my gateway spice.

For people who can’t handle these spices because of digestive issues look into dandelion. Regular exposure to clove damages mucosa by reducing blood supply. and causes the tissue to become necrotic ( mucosa lines your mouth sinuses and entire digestive tract)

I have been using turmeric & ceylon cinnamon for many years. I make a tea of it. My cholesterol is still high. I walk 4 miles a day 5-6 days a week strength train twice a week. I just turned 62.

Nice. I already garlic, cayenne pepper and real chilli powder in my pinto bean batches. Rosemary I've only used in my venison sauce. I can easily add some ginger to that.
How much of these spices are enough to make a difference? In North America we usually use spices to enhance flavor as opposed to India where they load up on spices as the hot climate necessity set the staple.
Just use them as you like. Surely you have other dishes that (can) use spices. Otherwise there's a world out there to discover. It is a misconception that Indian dishes are all loaded up on spices. And if you make them yourself you can always tone down on the spices to the level that you think is right. Just keep tasting whilst cooking. I often take to the internet for recipies to get ideas and hardly ever stick to a recipe.

FYI: you can only take cinnamon in a limited time because long term use of cinnamon everyday will cause liver problem
I’m no expert but in my research about cinnamon, what I have found is that there are different types of cinnamon. Cassia cinnamon is a lower quality cinnamon from the bark of a different tree and too much of it over time can harm your liver.
Ceylon cinnamon is a higher quality cinnamon that will not harm your liver, it’s harder to find but not impossible. I just thought I’d let you know what I’ve learned but please do your own research. Take care!
@@pilgrim985 I have read the same about Cassia and Ceylon cinnamon, the problem is that the quality of the Ceylon cinnamon is being altered and it is almost imposible to be sure of getting authentic Ceylon cinnamon. What I have seen is that some cinnamon sticks have darker, tougher bark in the inside and its outside is the lighter Ceylon cinnamon. Myself, once i finish the cinnamon I have I am planning not to get any cinnamon at all unless I find a good one with clear bark in the inside and in the outside.

All really good for you! I drink black tea with milk but you can substitute oatmilk, It will taste the same. I know people prefer green tea which is also of course fabulous for you, but I’m a brat and I need my black tea with milk but this way it’s really delicious

I make a very good tea...I start out with chamomile tea, mainly because it is relaxing, and I make this tea at night. But, it can be made anytime with green tea for those benefits, or any mild tea. I score one or two garlic cloves, drop them into the hot tea. Then I add a sprinkle of TURMERIC, and cinnamon, and ginger, and a few drops of honey, or my monkfruit/ Stevia blend sugar substitute, which I think is so good because it doesn't have the after taste of many other sugar substitutes. Honey has other health benefits, but I avoid sugar, and use honey sparingly I used to hate TURMERIC, but it is a nice blend with other spices. Now .I wonder why we can't grow it. Or can we?

The first four is regularly in my diet. I boil cinnamon sticks and cloves it is very good without even sweeting it. The Ceylon cinnamon sticks are the best. I have cut up ginger with the cloves and cinnamon sticks and it’s good cold too...

@@brizstoner2442 1 small apple (peeled) or 1.5 cups of cherries during cherry season. I sometimes use frozen cherries. Juice from one lemon, 1 tablespoon GOOD Olive oil (I use Olio Nuevo, which I've read has the best content of needed nutrients), .5 inch turmeric root (I get whole root, I don't use the preground spice), 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, teaspoon of cinnamon, half teaspoon cloves, .5 inch ginger root (whole root, not ground spices), pinch of cayenne (more if you like it, it's good for your heart). I put it all in the blender, add unsweetened almond milk and pulse. I don't know how much almond milk, I just pour in until it looks good, then add a little if I need to.
I've tried this with different things, like juice from an orange instead of a lemon, with cranberry juice (freshly made, not bottled from the grocery store), peeled and pitted grapes, half a small banana... If it's good for you, try it until you get a flavor you like and that you'll drink daily. Or, mix it up so it's a little different every day.
Edit - Don't forget to strain before drinking!!!! I use cheesecloth and a fine mesh strainer is what I use. LOTS AND LOTS of pulp in there if you don't strain. I personally don't like that.
