With curly hair, NEVER separate from the top! Always start from the bottom and use some type of oil. This is the best way to prevent frizz.

can you do it while it’s wet?
Tip: don’t use really small sections unless you want your arms to hurt and be doing this for hours! Hopefully the results are cute but damn ur girl learnt the hard way
You have to do really small sections if you want to achieve the “ tight curl look”

IN CUBA WE CALL THESE PAPELILLOS... SMALL PAPERS... I used to use these alot
In Brazil we call papelote and I use do these in school lol
I do that but I cut up an old cotton bedsheet into the same sized strip. You can tie it up a bit tighter, not a tight knot, just a loose one, but it's easier to get a knot in it without it breaking than of you use a paper towel.

i personally LOVE this method its sooo easy to sleep with!!! i always get pain when i do bantu knots or straws
It’s hard for me to do these hairstyles because I move around a lot in my sleep and sleep walk even a simple plat ends up gone when I wake up

Lmao I used to do this when I was in 5th grade. It is tiring but now all I do is twist my hair when its damp and put it up with bobby pins until the next day .

When you already have naturally curly hair but you want to try this so you straighten your hair but forgot to use heat protectant....

I have naturally curly hair but I'm gonna try this when I get my hair straightened. I hate sleeping in flexirods, perm rods, and Bantu knots trying to achieve curls. I'm gonna do bugger sections so I can have looser barrel curls.

Your hair is probably too thin. I suggest using a leave in conditioner or moose to make the curls stay better.

I have 32 inch hair and it takes me 30-40 minutes, sometimes less and they still look good 🥲I’ve been doing my hair for about a year regularly like this
I tried this method and I ended up having to cut my hair off. Heartless curls are a lot more damaging than using heat.

Edited bc I messed it up the first time because I did really big sections and I was supposed to do smaller sections and then I redid it with smaller sections and it works thanks makes it a lot easier and comfortable to sleep it thank you

put oil on ur hands n seperate it from the bottom not the top

you can also do this with cut up rags or a cut up old t-shirt these curls are actually called rag curls
I did the no heat kitchen foil one and it ended up puffy curling
