Thing is... that painting isn't of Hannibal crossing the mountains. It's a painting of the _Triumph of Manius Currius Dentatus over the King Pyrrhus of Epirus_ , painted by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. And it wasn't painted for an opera house in the 1800s, it was commissioned in the c. 1720's by the patriarch Dionisio Dolfin of Aquileia for his Venetian palace called the Ca' Dolfin.
EDIT: Just to clear up some things:
How did I know? I intern for a museum. I have a degree in art history and studied art restoration/chemistry. The painting looks like a bad recreation for something that’s meant to be old and of value. It doesn’t help that later in the episode that the auctioneer said that most of their stuff was cheap and plated etc. I just deduced from there that Ari was bullshitting considering he described it as “Hannibal crossing the Alps” (of which it doesn’t really look like at all.) Also note: the fake is not a print. It is a reproduction.
Anyone who is confused by what I wrote, the painting name is “the Triumph of Manius…(etc)” or alternatively “The Tarantine Triumph.” It’s stored at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The painting is one in a series of 10 that were made for the Ca’Dolfin, which was a Venetian palace owned by the Dolfin family of the town Aquileia in Italy. If you want to see Tiepolo’s other paintings and are in America, they actually have 3 in the series of 10 held at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. They are some of Tiepolo’s best paintings and it’s kind of funny/a shame? to see such a bad fake.

All the guests you see that show up were people that answered an ad on Craigslist or similar publications. They all get a free room & meal as provided by the production company and usually something like $50. It's the same for Kitchen Nightmares except there it's just a meal and a drink which usually means a bottle of something. Most of the people wind up giving that money to the servers.
