“Thats one mans opinion”
“Pretty sucessfull opinion though”
This guy knows
Scott doesn't mean to appears scary, it's just his concerned face lol
yeah lol
10:57
Him saying “yeah but it’s a pretty successful opinion” is the first time I think I’ve heard anyone on this show acknowledge that Gordon knows what he’s talking about when he’s critiquing their food
happened a handfull of times but i agree. (couple eps of the chefs being good but owners are shit. and they always say something on the lines of this.)
If the owners wanted success as much as this chef wanted a fish taco they’d be millionaires 😂
Fish Taco? Fish Taco?! FISH TACO?!
Fiștaco!!

😂😂😂 funny
Fire the kitchen staff that won't listen to the head chef
The only chef in the world who can reduce tough men to the level of small kittens. Don't mess with the CHEF!
he was eating bits of foam and mumbling
@@acey457 🤣🤣
They weren´t very hard to begin with....they were all so afraid to deal with the father or with anything. They were simply guys who trained to show off, but were just chickens.
Not by a stretch bro Marco Pierre White used to make Gordon Ramsay cry like a baby on the regular back at Harvey's. Marco is arguably why Gordon is the way he is
@@insideAdirtyMind i dont understand where the mentality of 'train to show off' comes from. your body improves with physical conditioning, movement is medicine. you're supposed to exercise and stay in shape and build muscle mass so you can go into your old age with good structural integrity and still be able to move around. its fine if you dont want to gain muscle and train for strength, or dont want to train at all. but please don't just assume other people are showing off just because you feel insecure about your body and i wont assume people who don't train at all are just too lazy to do so as opposed to not being interested.
I really like the chef, he is willing to learn and does not have an ego. Hope he did well after HOOKS took over the restaurant. I mean the show aired 20 years ago, so it might be moot. Byt i like the guy based on what i have seen. I kinda like the owners as well, to some degree. And i wish them all well.
20 years ago? Thought it was newer than that. GR is 57 now according to Wikipedia so he doesn't look 37 here
@@ShannonSouthAfrica Gordon has a bit of an "old face" thing, where you look older than you are. It's less noticeable these days when he's 57, but was definitely more noticeable when he was in his 30s and 40s.
That being said, this episode ran in 2008. Not quite 20 years yet, but getting close to it. Gordon was 42 here.
@sakinoru4557 He looks about 157
@@ShannonSouthAfrica Yeah, have you seen Gordon when he was a teenager trainee? Literally the same face for 40 years, only the wrinkles are increasing over time.
@@olgahein4384 lol
Poor bugger was shouting for fish tacos for more than half the episode! 😅
Water so cold that the fish Gordon caught came already frozen, insane 😂
If you actually knew anything about fishing then you would know that when you do ice fishing the fish are not as vigorous and half asleep and they don't move ,get yourself a fishing rod and try 😉
@@maellavoie im an actual fisherman for a living and that my boy was caught and stayed on that fisherman catch bucket until the filming crew needed to make it like Gordon was there for more then just those few minutes for is questions, so they hook it back up just for the shoot, its called televion son, guess youre the perfect type of human behin to watch reality tv since you would gobble all of that up as facts 🤦
@@pedromoreira-ii7hr I've been on 4 hunting and 3 fishing shows, never once has anyone ever brought up taking a fish for a shot. Maybe for a cooking show, but this isn't a common practice in fishing tv.
How's life fishing for a living? Would you say it's preferable to an office job?
The chef seemed good, but the line cooks? Omg, what a bunch of absolute muppets.
How has Gordon never died eating from some of these places
Chef kinda sounds like Jesse from Breaking Bad, lmao
Lmao thought the exact same thing
Yes!
Yes, i can't unsee him as Jesse Pinkman.
"NOT MY HOUUUUUSE!!"
Tbf, he was a good cook too.
7:57 big muscle head meatball 😂😂😂
Everytime I see the guy, I always think of Joe Rogan for some reason
@@fajrinnurramzy4767lmao I can’t unseen it 🤣
Who tf approved those tiny “fish tanks” (bowls) in the walls for the living fish? wtf 😬
Mashallah, so they can watch their cousins be devoured a thousand different ways.
Never ever put up that kind of fishtanks on the wall. Just cruel and a nightmare to take care of 🙈
i don’t think that was the priority in 2005, but yes. never do this.
they were pissing in there between customers
I’m definitely against the Betta fish being in those fish bowls
Also with music blasting in the summer; nope
“Fun for the kids” until you inevitably have a kid start freaking out cus half the fish are dead or dying!
You cant use living creatures as decor, they could’ve just had the bowls with only plants and no fish or with some fake fish/ fake jellyfish.
You’d still get the water vibe without torturing a bunch of living fish, how would they even clean those tanks? 😭
Restaurant is so empty because the whole town is working in the kitchen😁😁
Yikes those tiny fish "tanks" on the wall... That's sad for the fish (no, just because the beta fish came in a little box-like "tank" of water doesn't mean that's how they SHOULD live life) and that's also going to be a pain the arse to clean. All of those little bowls are going to need to be changed and cleaned regularly (notice there's no filtration in the small bowls, they're just open bowls on the wall with water) or the fish will die and the old water will smell up the place. It'd be best if they altered that after the fact to either be something that creates the illusion without the mess and fishprison or just got rid of that feature altogether. And the betta fish can be moved to better tanks and/or rehomed.
Why u worried and complaining about it? It's not like you the one gets to clean it..
One think whats in my mind is, that im very pleased on owners. How essentialy dont know how to run bussines, but they re open minded and willing to learn how to do it right. Not like many of others owners whos been in that show.
They closed in 2010 but it's far better than the usual were resturants are in too big of a dept and close in a few months
really flip the script on the musclehead stereotypes
Chef: -Can i get a croissant ? . Cook: -I don't know what that is (leaves).
All of those fish tanks are going to be SO much work!
Those poor bettas😢
That drunk oaf was on $100k? Tf, that's a lot of money even now.
Ikr, I thought these were failing businesses, how tf is he on 100k 💀
Drunk oaf 😂
Fish tanks on the wall 🤦
Forgot about this episode
Awesome, thanks for the upload
" Gordon snowmobile is way ".
Of course he is.
One of the best American Nightmares.
Too bad about the fishtanks but people usually don't think before they do something.
Strange narration at the end saying that Aaron is finally acting like a head chef.
He’s been acting like a head chef since the first minute, just the bozos he’s in charge of don’t give a fuck & the bosses with the exclusion of Scott seemed happy for that to happen. Soon as Scott went in there and said Aaron is effectively your boss, if you don’t listen to him you can find another job….. magically they all began to listen.
Classic case of a load of dossers who haven’t had their arses kicked for a long time
best kitchen nightmares i have seen
31:33 honestly, those poor fish.
like cmon, they got no space whatsoever they are trapped in a tiny space
Those poor fishes on the wall..
I dont know what wrong with my emotions but this show make me cry sometimes hahahah
A.J sound hammered all the time....
Aj is just a special type of person.
he's hammered 24/7
He looks like a weasel
That GM is a joke 😂
Well done Aaron. Take back your power. 🎉🎉
I'm actually mad about the fish tanks
Seriously. Betas need at least 5 gallons filtered and heated. Plus, do you think these dinguses are going to keep up with cleaning that many small tanks every single day? With tanks that small and no filtration they need to be cleaned daily with a turkey baster.
Jordon: My team worked all night...
Proceeds to present the ''new'' restaurant exactly the way it was before...
Owners and Staff: Wow it's beautiful...
Me: 😂😂😂
To be fair the toast in the “Krab” omelette was done to perfection!
Happy to see the end as it is, but half-way through the episode I was thinking Gordon should just save the head Chef and abondon ship. ^^
I worked as a line cook for years, if we had two dishes come back in a single service we got major flak from the manager.
All those muscles and not one man between them
You can grow up muscles but you can’t grow up balls
that mushroom risotto weirdly reminded me of modern art
every time they say partners it just makes me think they're in a cute little throuple🥰
Poor fish in them tiny balls on the wall just for people's entertainment
thats their natural environment. They usually live in puddles. For REAL.
@davidbarrett8058 no they don't they live in rivers and lakes. Whatever it is its alot more water and oxygen than that. Animals should be free
@@bigd-oj4xi Wild bettas live in shallow, freshwater areas such as rice paddies, stagnant ponds, marshes, and slow-moving streams. Being used to Asian climates, they prefer warm water around 80º Fahrenheit.
@@davidbarrett8058 so what are you saying?
That rope with the knots idea 💡💡
Not as fun as a Smartphone
the son must take his own restaurant and pay for his father, not scam his friends!! The son must return the investments of his friend!! It is a pure scam!!
Anyone else worried about the fish, by the looks of it they are in a bowl that is too small, attached to the wall, so probably impossible or very difficult to clean and I don't see any bubblers in there
I've watched this episode over 7 times in the past 2 years someone please send help
As chef, i will never work in the way the restaurant was presented! I don't care who is the manager, the chef have to do his job in a professional way. And the chef was doing a poorly job.
I got distracted by the ads so much i could nt remember what was i watching 🙃
I’m sure Gordon planted that fish 😂
Why does he keep standing behind him like a hooligan
What a torture for the poor fish inside the tank and in the walls. Not only they are trapped in there, but also watching how many other fishes are eat.
That was a nice one, great joke!
"Big muscle head meatball" where does he come up with these things? Haha
He's Scottish.
10:14 hahahaha
lol hhe means its chewy lol
The free market dictates that terrible businesses should fail. Rich people can come save them. What am I supposed to feel now? I have honestly lost a lot of money trying to feed people.....where's my fortune?
7:53😂😂😂😂😂
his eyes ahahah
I wonder if the head chef, Aaron's surname is "Paul"? He looks and sounds very much like that the crystal meth business wasn't working out for him. 😂
The head chef was the only competent one in the restaurant, fire all of the rest and start over.
AJ is one of the worst characters in this series.
Feels like half the people on these shows would say ''That's just one guy's opinion though'' as they shrug off a doctors terminal illness diagnosis.
Ramsey should have just bought the place and saved himself the aggravation.
2x speed is definitely worth it hahahah
If you force the gut doing the cooking to use bad, cheap ingredients and don't allow him to change and improve recipes and menu, there's only so much you can do. But, man, even then you have to clean up your effing kitchen as a chef. That's nothing to do with the manager that is your core responsibility. But he is just sloughing blame like the rest of them. Then there are three owners and a "general manager" and not one of them has checked on the fridge in a year.
Did you see the effin teeth on that old drunk guy??? Looks like baked beans all lined up! He likes to party but who can imagine the decaying breath from that old drunk?? Wow.
the old man so disgusting and annoying! getting all the money for nothing!
I hope this is without bleeps
How is "fake crab meat"? Is first time when I hear something like that.
One thing Gorden never takes in to account when he is in American resteraunts is that the majority are hundreds of miles from the Ocean, therefore fresh seafood is not sustainable.
I imagine Gordon's restaurant in New York has fresh fish!
This one is right on the water so no excuses for them not to be serving fresh
Scott's the man
Wasnt Scott on a reality show already??
Yet another one that didn't make it - closed about two years after the show.
Then was Brownies, and now is Hook.
I’ve been asking myself, what’s up with Scots neck, does anyone have an idea, was he born that way, or is it too much gym so much that he hurt himself, did he get hurt when he was a child, did he sleep on one side as a baby, was he involved in an accident, just why why why? He seems like a quiet dude with massive intimidating solid fit body but very harmless he needs to smile a bit more 😊
yea i think he is the nicest guy in there who cares most, just look scary haha
@@Subha95I agree with you.
40:42 80 hours a week????? thats like 2 fulltime jobs wtf ...
Looks as if there is one IQ shared between the three owners. XD
Never run a business with your friends
Not them poor lonely fishes in these tiny wall tanks.😥😥😥
I hope that they were there just for that opening night and after that these balls will be filled with some artificial sea things or whatever not alive.
Orders Honey pecan salmon.. Dressing is too sweet, almost like honey!
AJ is completely useless.
so no one does anything?
they always say "our food is great!" YOU'RE ON THIS SHOW MAYBE YOU SHOULD WATCH AN EPISODE OR TWO
This was another case of a chef being restricted in power and that had lost him the respect of his team. When the meat head went back and reminded them all who they work for and with a little tuff love. The chef chased up the issue's and to hear he later fire 2 staff which I guessing was the disrespectful one's, staff will respect his kitchen. If dad leave and the son make more money then I more than sure he'll be looked after. But firing your dad must suck little telling you mother it time to give up the car. you know it well be best for her but it is going to be tough. until then I let her keep shredding clutches, pmsl
.
"i do not know nothing" holy smokes, he must be the socrates of our modern age as he clearly stated that he knows everything. Double negative and we all know minus plus minus equald plus.
Basic maths.
The common American use of a double negative is one which irks me, also.
The most popular being "I didn't do nothing wrong." Which would mean they did indeed do something wrong.
However, even though it was incorrectly used when he said "I do not know nothing." It doesn't necessarily mean he knows the opposite, i.e. everything. It could just be perceived that he knows 'something'.
Not knowing nothing simply means you know something at the very least, not necessarily everything.
@@Mucron Very true. But at least the person knows something. "i didnt do nothing" though means you did something as well.
@@Mucron But Socrates is said to have posed to the Pythia, the Oracle of Delphi, in which the oracle stated something to the effect of "Socrates is the wisest person in Athens." Socrates, believing the oracle but also completely convinced that he knew nothing, was said to have concluded that nobody knew anything, and that he was only wiser than others because he was the only person who recognized his own ignorance.
Thus my originial comment.
