- Hearts of Iron IV has a lot content, being old and new focus tree, news, events and so on. But scratch under the surface and you'll find some interesting stuff in the things that aren't used.
Today we will explore these, from unused events suggesting to shift in development to easter eggs that many may not have seen before.

The Edward VII returning to the crown is probably a reference to the fact that he made a deal with Hitler to be re-installed as King in the evening of an Axis victory
Maybe? But it doesn't fire if Britain's a German puppet, it's literally Mosley invites the King back for no reason.
If that's the case then historically it's total nonsense.
If you dont have dlc, and you go facist, that event fires
I did that in my fascist Britain gameplay. Boring af anyways. Playing vanilla and being a new player in a imperialist nation makes it lose all it's potencial.

It's always been weird to me how "Danzig or War" is Germany's justification to go to war with Poland, because I don't think this even had anything to do with the invasion. Realistically, Germany used the false pretext of a false-flag attack staged by the SS on the German radio station Gleiwitz, which they blamed on Polish soldiers. I really think the unused in-game event would have been much for fitting for that context
I agree, Paradox though has said there is a line they don’t want to cross and personally I think to them it does.
It was a de facto claim if Poland had given up the land then Germany may have postponed the invasion
with new DLC i think they added proper events who was excuse to go to war.
@@BubblesZest The Marco Polo Bridge incident is included however, and it was pretty comparable. A minor border incident that served as a justification for war (wether or not it was fabricated doesn't need to be stated, although it's not very debatable)

For the Amelia Earhart thing, it's completely random. I've had it happen on my historical US game with no civil war
If you take the aircraft safety decision it greatly increases the likelihood of her surviving, same with the Hindenburg

12:00 If you go for limited intervention as USA you can "condemn" aggressive behavior of different countries. Like you can condemn Germany if they do Anschluss, Take the Sudetenland and Memel and you can also condemn Italy when they claim Yugoslavian territory. I think the one mentioned in the video is condemning the Japanese aggression against China. To do it you must focus on Asia instead of Europe. Doing these decisions gives you war support.
True, but this isn't a man the guns event, this is a base event. Tho it might but still be, but then you'd think it'd be a unique event i.e:
"US condems our ""aggressive"" behaviour!" that fact it doesn't and has no known trigger (according to the wiki, which let's be fair is unreliable) does have me thinking they aren't related.

Its not really *hidden* per se but its VERY unlikely to get without using the console, But Adolfos I.
I was reforming the Byzantium and Germany had naturally gone down the oppose Shitler line, and apparently after the event was rejected by the AI for Argentina, America, and one other I cant remember at the moment he got Amnesia, and happened to be found on the foot of mount Olympus in my game.
I dont know what the odds of that successfully happening with no player imput is but I was psyched when it happened and will keep pointing it out every chance I get.
The Senor Hilters are too well known lets be honest.

@@BubblesZest True, most anyone who has ever played Hoi4 know about Senior Hilter and John Hilt, But I NEVER see anything about Adolfos I unfortunately.
Which makes sense, everything needed for it to happen is extremely unlikely and reforming Byzantium is a massive pain in itself.
There's an event related to Mexico where Germany gets extra UBoat combat efficency for a few months.
It was added in Man the Guns, i don't know what triggers it though.

Like the Franco-British Union and Emu Empire were cut from this because they're too well known if you get what I mean.
For Yugoslavia, somehow Tito can die? If you check your army command,you can see condition: Tito's not dead. People say that there is an special German mission where they can kill him(in real life 1944 attack on Drvar, failed)
As I know, Tito can retire when you complete focus “end the regency” but I don’t know if it counts as he is dead
Is there a chance for a part 2? Is there more hidden content, are there more easter eggs?
There are more, ones like the many senor hilters. But I’m not aware of too much more. If I find or people suggest enough more there can be a part 2

The condemned aggression is probably an old panay incident where you don't say sorry. The new event gives you PP and The negative relation status.

I think the Abwehr agent thing might have been a HOI3 thing? If I remember correctly you could Anschluss Austria earlier if Austria had like 40 or 50% fascism support.
I went for Orleanist Restoration in my first France game and got Henry VI and didn't even know about this lol.
The Twilight events are for the AI. If you are either the Soviets or Germany and the US has the same ideology with either, when they make a faction, the game would be very easy and boring. So it flips the US back to Democratic to oppose you.
At least in theory.

the polish question event also could have been a early version for the polish question focus for hungary

2:51 and if portugal has done the porto-brazilian union focus branch, you get all of brazil cored as well
Oh you can get further than that, if Portugal cores Mozambique and Angola you'll get them too.
If France Succeeds in the French Union you'll get cores on a majority of Africa and Indochina _and_ if they Form the EU you'll have cores nearly all the way to the Soviet Border.
Spain can get a lot of cores.

Probably the reason why alfonso carlos is a portrait in the game is because there could be alternative spanish coup instead of fighting a civ war you can replace the government

Nah, I think I've covered most of them in this and in part 2, making a video on just them would feel arbitrary.
Where was the Alfonso Carlos potrait located in the game files?
In the gfx for leaders. Though it should be in La Resistance's files, not the base game.

I remembered when i set Czechoslovakia to go fascist they eventually gave me an event once going fascist, delivered the Sudetenland and being my puppet and it was also labelled "The Polish Question" and basically the Czechs asked me what to do with Poland. And it gave me an instant War goal against Poland if i agreed to it. You can also disagree and it changes nothing.
That's the Polish Situation, though the focus to do it in the Czech tree is called the Polish Question.
Event Czech.10 and Germany.58 are different events.

Yeah I know, even visited a few in Brno. but keep in mind that the pluarlity of my viewers are American where Tesco doesn't operate. So I elaborated.
Even then unless you are British, Irish, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian and maybe Malaysian more likely than not you wouldn't know what a Tesco is.

I dont know how, but when i was playing yugoslavia and doing hugeoslavia achievement, i did sign the tripartite pact, and uk didn't coup me. I guess you need to do the focus "Invite german military mission" and wait some time before you do sign the tripartite pact? I honestly don't know but i know that i ended up coronating the Prince Paul
The UK _can_ refuse to be party to the coup and it won't fire I believe, so that's probably what happened here.

Wrong. This has been addressed in this comment section already too, event Germany.58 and Czech.10 are different events entirely. It's an understandable mistake since the focus that triggers it is called the Polish Question, but the event is the Polish *Situation.*
The Polish Question event is just from the appeasement/fascist focus tree of Czechoslovakia lol.
That's the Polish _Situation._ Event czech.10, not the Polish Question. (Germany.58)
@@BubblesZest my bad then, with Mexico their join the allies event is from their focus tree tho, which is why usually in 1943ish they join the allies, they have this event for the comintern and axis aswell.
@@OnlyRodion That's the Mexico asks someone to sponsor them to join the Allies event. Which is Mexico.8/9. Not .25.
