Still doesn't work for me, my navy is not assigned to anything, but Turks refuse to naval invade anywhere half the time, and the other half of the time they do invade, but they keep unloading troops on the naval invasions even if I have complete naval superiority. ???

i personally recognize that while the communist paths are a self-inflicted injury, it does make sense in many regards that a communist revolution would be such a shot in the foot, and can actually work very well for narrative games trying to create unique stories. does it hurt, yes, but i can understand the low placement.

Fun fact there is a hard limit of a year for the border conflict, if it goes on for a year it ends in a stalemate

I feel like you're too strict on your comparison. If you're comparing monarchist path in the same national focus tree, then sure you should only compare the unique focuses between them. But if you're comparing two different countries who can do similar things, then you should absolutely be comparing what LIT and POL offer in the rest of their tree. Because as you say, the Commonwealth section is largely the same, the only difference being whether EST is cored or has ticking compliance. The same should be said if you're comparing which country is the best to form the European Union, or comparing whether POL or RUS has the best Slavic Union formable? The countries will be identical, so look at the rest of the focus trees, national spirits, decisions and events, even if they're not specific. So yes, you should absolutely bring up the differences like Forest Brothers or Lithuanian Paramilitarists or that you get the Danzig or War event if you're POL. (Really, that event should be tweaked to affect whoever owns Danzig and Gdynia, not just POL, but that's not relevant to this)

The one thing I appreciate about DoD focus trees is that they don’t lock out the ideology advisors. So if you want to go commie and join the Comintern or Democratic and join the Allies, you can still take the best path (A-H in the case of Hungary) and flip later through civil war or referendum.

This works for forming Hellas too, even with forcing the farmers into factories, just improve relations with the balkans instead of majors, especially czechoslovakia, austria and turkey and pay off at least a third of your debt before getting down to bedrock of balkan financial security, you can get 12 off map civs if you do it right as democratic greece, you might be able to reform byzantium if you can get the allies not to join without causing the convention to fail.

The one time they actually landed in athens I accidentally retook it and they never naval invaded me again, all the other times they naval invade every single province except for athens and I just get my ass kicked sadly

didnt work, turkey didnt naval invade, and they placed 7 divisions on each tile, so i wasnt able to push, later turkey, romania, and yugoslavia formed an alliance, and capitulated me

I wonder if the garrisons the nationalists AI goes for has changed or has a chance to be more random which could affect the Carlist spawn chance... Or just a coincidence

It was broken because the spirit used the modifiers offence / defence which didn't work, they got switched to army_attack_factor / army_defence_factor.
