Best look I’ve seen yet, love the stock wheel setups!
How to fit 33s on a 3rd gen: just put them on.
You can put 35s on 2nd gen
You can put 40s on a hilux
You can put 100s on an FJ40 😂
Good looking car with good sounding music, perfect
Can u show the front bumper cut u did? 4R looks amazing
No BMC needed if the lift is at 2" or less and you keep the offset at 0 or +4. Going wide will, in addition to the mods you mentioned, increase the stress on the wheel bearings and steering rack. You might consider installing ARK mudflaps as they are much thinner and will help protect your paint.
The tint on your front window might attract unwanted attention from law enforcement.
I'm in California, so no worries about law enforcement since they don't actually enforce laws here. I could literally drive without plates if I wanted to.
lift doesn't increase tire clearance
@@davintang4672Hola David quiera saber si esa medida de caucho en la mía con 3 pulgadas de elevación puede servirme sin que pegue en ningún lado y gracias
Correct on all points
I have no body mount chop and 33’s fit fine. But I’m also on the stock TRD pro wheels
Looks good.
Beauty!
How much does something like this cost?
Wouldnt the spacers push the wheel out and cause more rubbing with the higher negative offset?
Yeah, but in my case they were necessary. The 295's with the stock wheels would rub on the JBA control arms without the wheel spacer.
Where did you get the mods done?
Love the set up , how they feel on road? Are they too loud ?
They're audible and noticeable, but I wouldn't say loud.
The spacers and negstive offset actually decrease your clearance. Learn how ifs works
You hit the upper control arm with wider than a 275 i thought
@@Record3677 That means you don't need them
@@tuckerhiggins4336 yeah i should’ve been more clear- on stock wheels you’ll hit the uca with anything wider than a 275. To fit 285 i needed 0 offset wheels. When i tried spidertrax and stock wheels the steering felt crappy
@@Record3677yeah but you rub on the body Mount and fender liner. Aftermarket UC arms will prevent rubbing on control arms
@@Record3677 False. 285/70-17 on the stock wheel will work just fine without spacers. Ran 285s for years on stock wheels and no spacers. 285s work on stock suspension and lifted. Just had to trim the front bumper and adjust the front of the wheel well forward.
Will those tires fit on the TRD Pro wheels?
No rub at full compression and full turn?
Serious question, as I live in Dubai and driving on sand means all travel on suspension is used all the time
At absolute full flex with wheels turned it rubs a tad on the inner fender liner. I could cut more but it's pretty minimal so it doesn't bother me.
did he not lift it?
You want 0 offset for max clearance I can only fit 305/70/17 with -12 offset
what lift is this ? looking at getting 295s in a few days
Eibach Pro Truck Stage 1
Do they fit in the spare tire rack?
No, I tried, but it was rubbing, so just left the stock spare for now. Going to get a rear bumper with a tire carrier in the future.
Arabella is a classic
How low you can go with psi?
I've never gone below 15 psi. You could probably go lower if you wanted to.
eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2R Coilover Kit Front Coilovers + Rear Reservoir Shocks + Pro Lift w/2-4" lift, i went with this one. stock rims, going for 285/70/17s. guys, do you think this will rub? without any trimming? i just wanna take sa mud flaps
You'll probably need some adjustable UCAs and a wheel spacer if you're trying to get away from the body mount chop
@@xxtm72xx63 i will do that. thank you!
@@a04a27 no problem, 0mm - 18mm is the offset you need to do without the bmc just for a heads up!
@@xxtm72xx63, thank you so much!!!! planning on getting the Black Rhino Raid 17x8.5 -18. bless you! been eyeing that for 4 months
You didn’t mention lift. It’s definitely lifted. What did you do there?
It's on an Eibach Stage 1 kit. Didn't mention it in the video because technically cutting matters more than lift when it comes to fitting large tires on these IFS vehicles.
IFS lift does not increase tire clearance k should be able to clear 33’s with no lift
How much of extension was extended on the front bump stops ?
I did twice that with my stock orp this weekend in co. These are built tuff. Dont need more than 31s imo.
@davintang4672 how do u like the eiback, was thinking abou the stage 2 . 2-1 level. No uca needed
how much lift
Front: 2.75"
Rear: 1.5"
Any regear to be done?
I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary. Borderline though.
I’m running 305’s with no regear
Imagine having to cut up your car just to put 33s on it…
Tire size please
295/70R17
thank you. Did you update the suspension or is it the original?
Did you weld the body mount chop or just chopped it ?
Chop and weld new plate.
do you need to regear?
I'd say it's borderline there. It might bother some people but to me it's fine for now.
lol my 4th gen runner fits 33s without rubbing stock, but fit even better with my long travel kit😈
33's came stock on my JL
You must of failed geometry in school, there’s no need to cut anything
Maybe if you’re just driving around a parking lot. 285’s rubbed for me I’m sure 295 will need some trimming
Gay as song
As what song?
