Made my face leak. I'm a 58 year old "big strong dad" struggling with leukaemia and I've learned that worse than the physical impact of the disease is the emotional carnage. Loss of identity and confidence. Worse than the thought of death on a personal level is the idea that I might not be around to care for my family, hold a grandchild or hold my wife in my arms. The medical care I've received has been extraordinary but the mental and emotional cost can be unnoticed except by those closest to us.

Magic. Glad to see you got through Mark. As a 54 yr old who's struggled with depression & anxiety all my life, those panic attacks you described, been there & would not wish them on my worst enemy. Mark you are so right, the single most important lesson in this is TALK about it. When you stop seeing mental illness as the enemy it no longer has control of your life. Depression & anxiety are part of who I am, and have made me who I am. I love who I am. So don't be afraid to talk about it & don't be afraid ask that workmate, friend, or even that person at the bus stop who looks like they might be struggling. R U ok.

Fantastic movie, full stop. Great lens work and cinematography but also great story of one family's battle. Not to mention fabulous central character. Having suffered from anxiety and panic attacks at different stages through my life I remember craving that peace, silence and stillness you created in the movie. Really makes me want to ride again. Love your work. And yes If you think you have a problem seek help don't try to cover it up.

There are alot of us in the southeast U.S. as I'm sure throughout all of the U.S. but I for one would love to help out fellow Southeastern Men and Women that suffer with Depression/Anxiety. This is awesome video mate, I came across similar post a few days ago on reddit about how motorcycling has saved people who was diagnosed with clinic anxiety and depression, I even wrote a blog post about it (in Chinese obviously).
I am wondering if you would allow me to repost this video to the other video hosting platforms such as bilibili or youku, because I feel such great video should be seen by more people, but unfortunately as youtube is blocked in China it is very difficult for Chinese user to come here and watch it.
So if you allow me to repost the video, I will be very appreciated and of course I will make sure they are properly subtitled in Chinese and the source and credit of the video will be mentioned in the video description.

That's unfortunate and terrible that you had to endure that. But DGR isn't a support network for domestic abuse. @@storiesofbike i was abused because of my mh vulnerability ffs. by comparison, my tinnitus as a result of sf military service is nothing. my decades of depression is nothing. that is a measure of how significant the trauma of covert narcissistic malignant abuse has been - and i know with certainty i am not alone in this.
