Nice button Rich. Beautiful bell Dustin. Spectacular presidential button Rich. Awesome 1812 button Jason. Amazing nova constellatio coin Dustin. Great large cent Jason. Nice token Doug. You guys find the most old history finds. Lucky you all. Glad I get to watch you find them.
I'm a 52-year-old fan girl I guess, because when I saw the video on my homepage I just squealed oh boy a new quarter hoarder! I found my first item yesterday in my backyard while practicing with my stepsons cheap metal detector. I found a nail.
Thanks for watching and don’t be too bummed, I’ve been doing this for years and still dig nails every week. Maybe we’ll build a tree fort together one day. 🙂
Keep at it... I started with a 100 dollar bounty hunter 10 years ago and went to a Garrett ace 350 and now got a couple Minelab's this hobby is one of the best...and remember we all still dig nails regardless of how much we paid for our detector.
I was excited to find the nail, not discouraged. I was excited to know I could figure out where to dig and got the target. Thank you all for the replies. It is the best hobby because it combines cleaning up the outdoors, history and things that are worth money, all things I like.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼‼️ We found a Harrison Log Cabin button at our Airbnb on lake Champlain last October. Pretty exciting 😀 I will send you the video. Looking forward to seeing y’all again soon.
Nice hunt gang, great seeing Dustin out hunting, nice bell, love the USX and log cabin William Henry Harrison button. Cool watch and Great War of 1812 era Navy button.👋👍
So the little boy was complaining to his father about how much he hated school and all of his homework. The father, trying to impress his son, said, "son, when Abe Lincoln was your age, he'd read and do his homework by the light of the fire in the fireplace. He'd walk three miles to school, rain or snow"! After giving it some thought, and being unimpressed with his father's Lincoln story, he said, "Well Dad, when Lincoln was YOUR age, he was President of the United States"!! lol! The log cabin button made me think of that old joke that my father used to tell. Great finds and great video!! Thank you Quarter Hoarder and crew!!
That's really amazing! In 15 years of looking at forums and looking at posts and watching youtube. Even metal detecting the entire time myself. I don't recall ANYONE finding this coin. Among the few of our "First Coins", this is remarkable. Happy Hunting!
The day started out great with Rich’s USX button and just kept getting better … the bell, the Harrison button , the Nova coin… can’t wait to see what’s next! Congrats guys! ⚒
It's a very educational hobby. My first detector was called treasure finder 2. It was sold by radio shack back in the 90's. I found my first piece of foil, and dime, penny and a old spoon. Those finds got me hooked. Today I use Vanquish 540 and whites coin master turn on and go detector.
Looking forward to next week’s video. Wow the finds just keep getting better! And Doug, reming Jason it’s not who’s is bigger but how you swing it. With age comes perfection.
I may not be healthy enough yet to do a full scale detecting day yet but I still feel like I find treasure every time I get a notification that you've posted a new video. Thanks guys ❤️
Wow some awesome pieces of the past out of the ground Jason!!! Sweet buttons coins and a bell. Dustin definitely won the game with that Nova. What an awesome find. Happy hunting and be well
Man I’ve been out of the loop way too long Jason!! You’re doing amazing!!! What a great permission! What great finds! Now to the second part! Best wishes bud, Chris
What he said was correct EXCEPT this isn't one of those coins. This is a Nova Constellatio Copper which they all were struck in 1783 in England. No matter what date appears. These are very common and you buy one in decent shape for about $110, since they were never used as currency and never really in circulation. Starting to sound like Oak Island on this channel stretching so far to connect dots which don't line up at all to sound better then what is actually present and face value. Cool find, great history lesson, just not for what was found.
@@myruelsb1151 It’s truly great to have knowledgeable people watching along with us novices. But does sharing correct information have to be dripping with sarcastic digs? I mean, really, this is how we learn, and if someone stands corrected that’s all cool. But to act superior to a group of honest people who love getting together and going outdoors to dig around for what most won’t… really?? (Mods, forgive me, but, well, sorry not sorry. Delete if you need.)
Great hunt guys and congrats Dustin on finding that Nova. That bell was pretty sweet also. Looking forward to seeing what else you pull out of that location.
Jason, really like your videos. They are top notch, family friendly, and very informative. I’m in the process of watching all of them. I’ve metal detected most of my life, other than a 10 year break for back problems. Awesome videos!!
You guys get the most amazing permissions! Love those old buttons , amazing old coins, and hearing the history behind them! Great hunt and video, I’m going to put on my DTD tshirt and go dig!
Thank you for the history you add when showing your finds. That first gov’t coin was amazing to see you find!! Loved that bell, too! I got out yesterday and found my first ever old old coin - an 1848 braided hair one cent - using the Simplex+! It was deep! I found a 1956 dog license tag today - hubs says it was from the first dog he remembers having (and, no, not where he was buried because I asked 😉😆).
how awesome ..this hobby always gives.. i just scored a 10k gold #4 pendent..a silver ring and a lathing hatchet from 1780 just over the past couple days
Along with all the great stuff you found, I am impressed with Rich's knowledge of history. He knew that the log cabin was associated with a presidential campaign. A real W.H.Harrison button! Not Benjamin Harrison, the grandson. What an awesome day. I'm just wondering what would have happened if Dustin had taken the silver dime instead of door #3? :) I know coins a little and have never heard of a Nova Constallatio. It even has an All Seeing Eye! All I can say is, "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too"!
I just moved to NJ up in Bergen county and still haven’t gotten the courage to door knock yet. I have to with all the history buried. Another great one
What a hunt!! Good to see everyone was digging up some great items. Cant wait to see more. Nice to see Lynn out and about with you guys. I'm sure she enjoys it too. Rich was on a roll with his finds and the Nova was incredible that Dustin found. The buttons and coins, I would take any day! Cheers!
Holy cow! Awesome finds! Everyone found something nice! Love the Nova, who wouldn't! But those 3 buttons were just impressive finds as well! Congratulations!
Thank you for another great detecting video. A lot of incredible finds.... a 1783 Nova Constellatio, never even heard of it, so thanks for the explanation. Loved the USX, USN and Log cabin campaign buttons.
I think that Conestoga bell has worn spots on it from swinging back, ad forth on the wagon/cart. I'm not sure what the pocket watch looking thing really is, but it looks like it's heavy! P.s. I love you Doug 🥰 and congratulations Rich!

Stick with it. I started metal detecting a year ago because of channels like Quarter Hoarder. Best hobby ever
Thanks for watching and don’t be too bummed, I’ve been doing this for years and still dig nails every week. Maybe we’ll build a tree fort together one day. 🙂
Mine was always tin foil. I used to use one when I was 12. Evidently my uncle who owned this house before us grilled out...a lot! It was discouraging!

Thanks! You’re gonna make Doug blush… 🙂

Thank you! I have always been fascinated with the history of everyday items. Most of it is due to my wonderful mother teaching me over the years.
Great hunt. Some very cool finds.
Just got my new Vanquish. Super excited! I've been using a really old yard sale $20 special, but I've found some stuff with it.
Never been disappointed watching you all!!!
Amazing yard! Variety, details on everything, and the coolest thing ever x10. That property could be a 10 part series.
