The ONLY One That Exists! - Remarkably Rare 1700’s Coin Found Metal Detecting This Old Stone House!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 сер 2023
- We’ve metal detected some incredible old houses this summer and found all sorts of amazing old coins, relics, and long lost artifacts. But with all the great things we’ve found nothing was as unique and one of a kind as a coin we just found at this old stone house. It took me a while to even figure out what it was but once we made the ID it really blew me away. But even after the dust settled from this colonial coin the day kept giving all the way til the end with more and more fantastic old pieces. What a hunt and what a never seen before coin!
Below are some of the upcoming Metal Detecting events Doug and I will be attending. If you’re able to join us at any of them we’d love to hang out and dig up some treasures together!

Wow, that double struck Hibernia is absolutely gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the grading on that one!!
Trot-Moc shoes were hiking apparel, made around the turn of the century. This from the "Outing" magazine, of 1917
Usually made from moose leather accordin to a search i did an looks to be around 1890's to early 1920's that the pin was made .
The Metal Detecting team of Abbot and Costello deliver a great show once again. Thanks guys.
Jason, the token with the candlestick object is a communion token from the General Assembly Church in Philadelphia. The obverse of the token has: United Centennial Celebration/Lampades Multae/Una Lux/1888. On the reverse is the message "To Commemorate the Completed Organization of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America; May 1788."
The motto, “Lampades Multae, Una Lux” means the lamps are many, but the light is one.
Thanks Mark! We were having a hard time IDing this one due to its condition. I appreciate the help!
The “watch fob” is probably a competition medal from a swim meet.
Daaang ! That hibernia is a once in a lifetime find Jason ! Congrats!! But I’m super jelly !!!😊
Great to see Doug back in action! Awesome finds, that Hibernia double strike is incredible. The pin was a stick pin issued to buyers of trot moc hiking shoes made by the Ashby Crawford shoe company of Marlborough, MA around 1917
Last year I was with a friend of mine who was metal detecting and he found an old coin (memory eludes me what it was) that was toasted but I told him be careful with the clump and when he looked at the impression, the dirt held much of the original detail of the coin and it was an 1833 coin here in Alabama. I would get interested in it but I'm disabled and on my limited income I can't afford to get a good detector to even get started with it but I have been getting more interested in it.
Welcome back, Doug!!!! I think the silver bracelet you found had gems in the holes at one time. Nice bracelet!!! Glad you're better now too. All great finds today and the double strike coin was crazy unusual for sure!
@@dogtagdoug6751 we're glad you're back 👍
Great to see you back dirt fishing Doug!!! Bless you all!! Good luck!!
Trot Moc Hiking Shoes were a turn of the century hikers foot wear. Cool find.
We missed you Doug! Glad you're healing and back at it!
@@dogtagdoug6751 thank you very much sir and you too as well!!
Doug said he loves TIGHT SIGNALS😂🤪😜, you had to remind him he was being filmed lol Classic!!!
Doug can't find anything cause you don't stop bothering him! Let the man dig!
Awesome finds gentleman. It's good to see Doug back at it. Carl
It’s a “Trot Moc” pin! Awesome double stamped Hibernia!! Can’t wait to see it graded!! WELCOME BACK DOUG!!!!
Jason, I wonder if the dog owner altered the date area on the dog tag, to get a few more years out of it, since non legible, they could argue the date.... Just a thought. Amazing hunt again, good think you had camera man Doug at the beginning of the video 😜😜😜😜
That double stamped hibernia is awesome!!
Being a life long Pa. Resident back in the day, before the two letter state abbreviations Penna. was the official state abbreviation.
It's nice to see you digging some treasures. You normally spend all your time filming, everyone else. Hoping Doug finds his bucket listers.
CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL OF YOUR FINDS,ESPECIALLY THE SEATED AND THE AMAZING HALF PENNY...WOW!!!
Trot-Moc Club, Hiking boots made from moose leather from the turn of the century! great finds!
Holy moly! That's the oldest double die coin I've ever seen!!!! Has to have a serious value!
Awesome find. Congratulations!
So nice to see Doug back at it !! Love your channel !
You guys always make us smile. I’m looking forward to seeing you again…soon 😀
And Doug’s shirt made me smile too
It was nice that you and Doug got out by yourself because you had more time to find treasures with just the two of you.
Great to see Doug back on his feet! Great finds on this hunt too! Definitely send that Hibernia to be validated and slabbed. The minting process was pretty sloppy back then so lots of errors, but a double strike is always good.
Awesome hunt boys! Great job Jason changing Doug’s luck by recognizing that silver bracelet. Nice to see you back rocking it Doug! You guys rock and always entertaining! 👍👍👍
Ditto on happy comments that Doug is back detecting & rare Hibernia coin. But Jason, you know by now that's not a shoe "Surfer", it's an Indian on a mocassin, MOC for short. Wonderful, fun video!!
might be a diving medal!
Wow...What a hunt....You guys killed it...Great relics and sweet coins....👍👍👍
Hey guys Great Hunt. Happy your back Doug. Love the Watch Fob and Victorian Hair Barrette. Congrats Jason on the 1850 Seated Dime and the Double Stamped Copper. That is an awesome looking Coin. Love that Silver Bracelet Doug very Beautiful. Take Care.

Like the goatee, Dog Tag Doug! Good to have you back.
Superb Hib Ha'penny! My goodness, what a unique coin. Massive congratulations for saving it from certain destruction from soil-humus acid rot. Like, man: fair flippin' play t'yous.
Jason that Hibernia is sick. Definitely has numismatic value. To be honest I’ve never seen a double strike on a coin of that age. Great job and cheers from NY 🍻
Dam, brother, beat me to it.😂😅 What's gonna say that same thing? Sweet hunt HH&GL
It's not a double die. It's double struck.
@@timber72 yeah that’s right my fault.
@@COS-MD_505 lol 😆
@@1LWiLNY I think it's a double die strike lol

Hey guys great to see Doug digging and not just watching either way he always seems to have a smile on his face. If you know anyone that attends a Greek Orthodox church, they may be able to help identify the mystery find. Look forward to the next episode.
Awesome hunt guys!
Happy to see Doug back in action!!!!! What an amazing coin Jason
That token looks to be a county or city centennial token. Maybe could narrow the search down by looking up the ones near the area you’re hunting.
Anyways, awesome hunt! Good to see Doug back in action.
Welcome back Doug!
Good to see ya back Two-Foot Doug!
Great hunt muckers, great to see deadly Doug back in action again😊

Great finds guys! Doug good to see you out!
Really cool finds guys! So glad to see Doug back again.
Sites like that are so rare these days, but you guys were truly blessed. It's hard to believe the amount, variety and uniqueness of all those finds- too many to name, but that double-stamped Hibernia is an all-time classic. Pretty much a guarantee that any certification company will send it back as Environmental Damage, but I'd still do it just to try to determine the rarity- Good luck if you do and Congrats to you both for a simply amazing hunt!
Yay! Doug is back!
Cool stuff thanks for sharing!!!
Great to see you back Doug!
Happy to see Doug back awesome hunt thank you so very much for sharing 👍👍❤️
