Your Majesty, you are a legend. This race frustrated the hell out of me. A second or third occasionally but that bastard in the red mini always nosed it up for me. With your setup, I finally beat him and won
@@quemyst man, that ONE race pissed me off so much. No matter what I did to keep it within 350 PP, that red Mini just kept blasting passed. Sometimes that blue one too. I just became my 6 year old self again wanting to throw that controller out the window because Bowser kept killing me on Super Mario 😛
@@quemyst awesome. Maybe that’ll help me too. There’s these 2 tests at Monza. I keep trying to improve, but I’m stuck at bronze. I tried braking late, accelarate quicker, different racing lines, I just can’t get better than bronze
What level licence do you have and what collector level are you? At the time I did this I was collector level 11 and had International B licences. You should be able to purchase at least Extreme parts from the Tuning Shop, that's where the Nitrous is. If you are unable to purchase Racing and/or Extreme Parts, just level up by completing the Cafe Menu Books and try this race again. Lemme know how it goes
@@quemyst Ifyou use weight redution youare subtracting weight. If you use ballast you are ading weight. It appears that it then does nothing. It replaces what it takes away, so it is for nothing. Just save the money on weight reduction and ballast and do neither instead of both. I think that the gear ratios is the most improtant thing and that is the one thing that e eryone who wins is doing.
@@jessicaphoenix1312 ooooooh, I see what you're saying. I don't know the exact science but this is what I understand re: weight reduction from what I've seen drivers I've met and not met do and videos I've seen on it. On an "unprepped" track (regular roads): Racing cars do away with things like the door panels, plactic trims, radio, air conditioning system, carpeting, in some extreme cases even the wind shields (front, back, and sides) to shed unnecessary weight that holds the car back from achieving it's optimal speed. Weight reduction however acts as a double edge sword, in some cases as the car gets lighter it become more difficult to put the power to the track which usually results in wheel spin. The aim is be as light as you can but also put the power down. That's where the ballast comes in. Yes the ballast is weight, but it's more in a focused area and is used to help anchor the tyres to the road, preventing as much wheel spin during launch as possible. For FR cars you may find racers put a ballast in the trunk to ensure the rear wheels grip the track as best as possible. For FF cars, you may find racers put ballast in the front, near and/or around the engine to keep the front wheels from spinning as much as possible. Some cases, the driver alone can be as a ballast lol depending on his/her weight. On an "prepped" track (racetracks that are sticky): A ballast may not be necessary hear since the track is sticky and a sticky track prevents the tyre from spinning as would happen on a regular road/"unprepped" track. Hope that helps.
