Hi Jane and Stew, another great video, I think the cathedral needs to have a rethink on pricing, it might be a bargain being able visit as many times as you like. But a tourist isn't going to pay that. That was a nice park up by the canal, sitting watching the world go by, slowly.
Poor Harry 💩 York Cathedral was so expensive! Don’t think we’d have gone in at that price. Love Pret food. ( probably cost less than the cathedral 🤣) I’m all for easy meals) that was a rather nice parkup by the canal. Thanks for sharing ❤️😊👍
A Donation Box is a better idea. I can see why they want to charge to maintain the church. They would make more if it was a reasonable price. English towns have so much character about them & the countryside is so lush & green. Jane hope your feeling better now. I have AFib my heart keeps going in & out. Waiting to see my Cardiologist. That's a lorra lorra bird poo! We had £17 each for Canterbury Cathedral a few years ago! Daylight robbery! We didn't go in either!!!! Love the canals. Done many a holiday on the canals! Good spot of a bit of gongoozling! 😉 Thanks for sharing! Ju 😁
They should really just have a box for donations at the cathedral, like you we wouldn't have gone in. Great park up, that bloke was lucky to have a lock keeper on site👍
Yes I am afraid like a few places in the UL the entry prices are ridiculous especially as you know compared to France or Ireland where they encourage you to visit their heritage Thanks for watching
We felt the same about York Cathedral and didn’t pay to go in. I’m sure if it was cheaper they would get a lot more visitors and so make more money. Lovely park up by the canal with the barn doors open. Looking forward to your next adventure 🙂❤

Completely agree on the cathedral price, we’re ok at circa £6-£8 maybe ( each) ,I’m sure more people would go in. Same in York .Lovely area that.
Unfortunately we saw Rouen bring free with donations so bids afraid the Uk in many places is way off
