As an old codger having been in full time employment for 15 -66 I never had down time and now health issues. I am so envious that you are able to achieve this and all your other adventures so young and free. Anxiety is understandable when alone. You are responsible for ever decision. I know how that feels and when you do anything alone it’s harder. Balance it with the people that would give their right arm to do your adventures especially at your age. Love the series and excited for this trip😊
I am very lucky to be able to do this. I remember sitting at my desk one day working and thinking that I could work from anywhere so why am I sat at home? So I bought my caravan. I thought that if I didn't take the opportunity to do it now, I probably never will. Thanks so much for watching and following us along on this adventure.
I did most of the things you are doing fifty years ago. I have to admit I am jealous. You are fortunate to be fit, to have the health, strength, and means to get up and go and do it. All good luck to you.
When I was young, anxiety was a feeling I called excitement, as I aged I renamed it anxiety, mainly because as I aged I realised a whole lot of things could go wrong.....not many things ever have, and nothing ever I couldn't deal with.....so I try to re-frame anxiety as excitement
Well done Roz you are doing really well, Love your Winston. I’m heading to Galloway in my caravan next month for 4 weeks with my Springer and Shepherd.
I can so relate to your travel anxiety as I get exactly the same travelling in my motorhome with my two dogs but as soon as I get somewhere new it’s always amazing and relaxing 😊 I used to travel around China for work and felt exactly the same before leaving home so it’s not just the camping thing .
Yes, it's always the first bit of travelling. As soon as that is out of the way, I'm all good 😎👍🏼 All the best on your adventures. Thanks for watching.
Have a terrific two month adventure Roz and Winston, I’m looking forward to watching you both explore and show us the wonderful places along the route. Stay safe and take care.
If you're spending much of your time in the Outer Hebrides then you're in good hands. Salt of the earth people. Beautiful terrain and amazing beaches. Enjoy yourself, relax, and take it a step at a time.
It wasn’t long ago you were practicing reversing the pod in a car park and now look at what you’re doing , I’m sure you’re an inspiration to many independent people that they can also get out and adventure. So looking forward to the Scotland adventures, good luck 👍
Roz I don’t pretend know how anxiety affects you, but having watched you for the last six months , I just wanted to say your doing great and take confidence from what you have achieved on your own previously. Try to remember what good feels like and that will get you through. Looking forward to the rest of your adventure. David
It's just pre-adventure nerves as I worry if I have packed everything and prepared sufficiently. Once I've left home then there's no need for me to worry anymore because if I've forgotten something then it's too late 😅 Thanks so much for watching 🙌 Glad to have you along on this adventure.
I really enjoyed this video. When I was 25, I’m now 50, i spent one year travelling around Australia. It was the best thing I ever did. Good on you for pushing yourself as this will only give you, and Winston, the confidence to go on bigger and better adventures.
We bought a Marbury Compact from Leisure Sales back in June '22 and swapped out of it 3 months later. Lovely little van but just too little. I thought I'd be OK with 5ft 11ins single beds but they were too short for comfort and you don't want to be uncomfortable on holiday. Plus the washroom was just too too small and that shower curtain yuk! We swapped to a Bailey Phoenix + 420. It's just 8 inches longer overall, but 2ft 2ins longer inside (not magic but shorter A frame and no front gas locker). It has 6ft 3ins single beds and a separate shower cubicle (no yucky curtain). We upgraded the payload on ours, giving us the ability to load 271kg, which is enormous compared to even much larger vans. The 420 is an overlooked gem.
Happy to hear that you found a caravan to suit you 👍🏼 After travelling around in Go Pod for the last few years, I think whatever caravan I get next is going to be a a lot bigger 😅😅 I've not seen the Bailey 420 though, so I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for watching 👍🏼 and all the best on your caravan adventures 👍🏼
@@Roz.S The 420 is 18ft 3ins long against the Pod's 13ft 9ins. Internally 14ft 3ins long internally against 6ft 8ins. 7ft 3ins wide against 6ft 6ins. It has to be the smallest van around with a separate shower cubicle and no clingy curtain.
I understand your doubts completely. The "Why am I doing this?" hits me every time. I have a van but go away with a friend. 4 dogs, 2 people. Once we've gone, we've gone! As for the poles. I take them out, look at them and do without....
There is a lot of faff with going away in a van/caravan. The packing and the planning is a chore in itself 😅 but like you say, once you've gone, you've gone! And I always end up having a good time. Thanks so much for watching.
I had a go pod for a season I am in my sixties and realised towing wasn't for me. I now have a campervan which suites me better. I really admire your determination.
Hi, I’ve been travelling for decades and I always get anxious before a journey but like you I relax within minutes on setting off. Strange but that’s just the way it is ! I even mentally rehearsed how I negotiate my exit out of a carpark 😂 having spoken to my best mate he is exactly the same ! Loving your travels thanks.
Nice to meet your Channel. To know your Island by your eyes is a pleasure, and your inteligent comments, neat and slow speaking makes a cake to enjoy for not english speakers out there. Thanks a lot.
That's a trip I want to do too! You've probably got it booked already but a campsite I always use in Dumfries and Galloway is Rockcliffe, stunning location, dark skies and plenty of walks from site. Good luck!
Looking forward to following your adventures on this trip, looks like it will be amazing. Oh how I miss Tesco & Morrisons lol. I showed this to my wife who is from Chile and she is loving the scenery. We hope to be back in the UK next year and I will get to show her some of the amazing places. Now for the most important part ... Winston, he is one happy pup, always wagging his tail. Love him !!!! 😊 Stay safe
Thank you. I've seen that campsite, but they didn't take bookings. It was just turn up and see, and I couldn't risk not having a pitch with a caravan so I booked somewhere else. Thanks for watching.
That's how I get prior to a trip cancelled two trips this year due to anxiety.Experience tells you what you need and worst case anything you forget on long trips always shops. Have a fantastic trip in Scotland.
Mines not been so bad that I’ve cancelled, although I do feel as though I want to. But once I’ve left home, I’m all good. Thanks so much for watching and following the adventure!
Loved this video! Thanks for your honesty about anxiety, I experience exactly the same. So glad you push through it and then share your adventures. I'm looking forward to the rest of your trip
A few minutes in and I want to say how much I resonate with ‘I don’t want to…..’. Over the years I’ve come to acknowledge my ‘stage fright’ as a welcome and necessary precursor to meeting a challenge (be it big or small) that makes it a success. I’ve never known anyone else feel the same. Back to the video…….
I try to use it as a sign that I’m actually doing something challenging and worthwhile. Changing my perspective helps me to work through it. Thanks so much for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Thank you. I get Winston's tick stuff from the vets and I've never had a problem, it might be Brevecta actually as that name sounds familiar 🤔 But he's fully protected. Thanks for watching 👍🏼🐶
I get you when you talk about being anxious before journeys it's happened to me in the past.I'm wondering if it's because we're single or if couples go through it?Yes, Winston is a star but without you Roz there would be no Winston walks nor You tube channel so pat on the back for yourself please.Your travel plans are looking so good to me.I'm looking forward to seeing them.Safe travels.See you on the next.
I do think that you have more to worry about as a solo traveller. My biggest fear is Winston if something happens to me. Luckily, I know my housemate will come get him if anything did happen, but it's still a worry. Thanks so much for watching. More to come.
I'm exactly the same every time I load up the van and get my dog into her traveling crate. I feel like I'm making a huge mistake and everything would be better if we just stayed home. Then we get into the woods by the river, settle into the reclining lounger, and she hops up into my lap and the world is perfect. You and Sir Winston will have a grand adventure.
I guessed you were heading to Scotland, didn't factor the Western Isles in! Can't wait for Galloway and the Cairngorms. Just remember, the sensations we get when feeling anxious are exactly the same as those when we are excited. And this is exciting!!
Really enjoying your videos and love young Winston. We took our Turtle on a 3 week break to Scotland a couple of years ago, annd reminds me of this trip, we stayed at Delamere Forest on the way back, and your Winter video there brought back happy memories. Highly recommend Glencoe caravan and camping site, some great walks for Winston. Good luck with the trip...!
We stayed at Glencoe caravan and camping club site last year when we did the NC500 and had a great time. We hiked the Pap of Glencoe 👍🏼 This was before we started vlogging our adventures. Glad you enjoyed our video. Thanks so much for watching and commenting 👍🏼🙌🏼
@@Roz.S Our little Jack Russell did the Pap too loved it unfortunately being of a certain age with arthritic knees I was unable to attempt it. Partly why I am enjoying watching your adventures. Stay safe.
Hello, your new challenge is great, it is just as you describe it, leaving the comfort zone, it is taking that step, the song you used that talks about that is great! Winston a charm! This time I used Google Translate, greetings
One tip about the bike and being concerned about the overhang - you could loosen the stem bolt slightly and rotate the handlebars 90 degrees. Tighten it back up and leave it that way until you need to use your bike.
Gr8 Video Roz!! I did the North Harris Snorkel Trail in 2018 with my dive club and we were based in Tarbet. Sundays: most shops were shut incl the petrol station. That Gopod looks so cool! I'm a camper and joined the Camping & Caravan Club this year and did a weekend's Diving at St Abbs, staying at the Dunbar club site. Downside of Camping on the east coast of Scotland is it's pretty cold at night so you don't get a proper sleep. Bikes: have you considered getting a fold up? I am trying the French Eovolt Afternoon - it fits in the back of my Mini. I look forward to seeing your adventures in Scotland - if you're near Dumfries and Galloway you may want to visit the amazing Samye Ling Tibetan monastery in Eskdalemuir - there's a cafe, parking and quiet space to do mindfulness :)
Great to hear you enjoyed our video! I’ve recently done a try dive and had a great time, so I’m hoping to get qualified to dive later this year (fingers crossed). I don’t think a fold up bike is for me as I like the suspension for mountain bike trails. Thanks for the recommendation on places to visit, I’ll see if I can squeeze it in 🙌🏼
@@Roz.S I did my sport diver licence but later decided SCUBA wasn't for me - I prefer snorkel diving as there's less heavy equipment to cart around. Of course with scuba you can dive down to 30m and see more marine wildlife, get better photos. The main lesson I've learned is: never dive alone - always have a buddy whether that's scuba or snorkelling - I'm guilty of this and don't like thinking about the number of times I've nearly drowned :)
You're amazing! I opted for a body leash and have both hands free. I harness my basset hound and off we go. I'd like you to have the stick even more for protection, if necessary. Winston is the cutest "star" of his own reality show! 🩵🐾🦴 He's so cute...brave enough to frolic ahead...a bit, but looks over his shoulder to set eyes on mum! So sweet.
Great to see you and Winston out on another ( very big) adventure and thanks for taking me along . You really have done a lot of planning and organised packing so I hope you’ve not missed anything. Very wise to give the swim a miss, it looked pretty cold . Interesting about the sheep dipping though . Have a safe journey and take care both 🐕🦺👍
Ive been along the Outer Hebrides in a camper van. I think you will like it. Not so many people. Very beautiful in a wild way. You are very inspiring and I like the detail. I will keep watching.
What!!, you're not thinking of swapping the Pod are you?🤔🙂. Seriously though, I'm exactly the same as you when it comes to going away .in my Microlite, I get all anxious and flustered, (have I locked the house up properly, did I pack the bedding the list goes on) until 10 minutes into 😢the journey when I know the Van hasn't fallen off the back of the car🤣), I've got my wallet and bank card, keys - check etc. I can then start to relax and enjoy the trip. Look forward to seeing your adventures in future vlogs Roz.👍🙂
I won’t be swapping the pod just yet, but I think I would like something a bit bigger run future. My anxiety is exactly as you described it; just making sure that I’ve done everything I need to do! 🙈 Thanks for watching.
Winston has clearly had an active and rich life thus far....what a great find (him you that is)! Enjoy the adventure, just brilliant you can do it and have embarked upon it. Enjoy every minute. Has your Van served you well so far (reliable etc) looks a great small resource?
Van has been good. 👍🏼 She had a clean MOT (no advisories) at the beginning of the year along with a full service, and I've got good breakdown cover which also covers me towing my caravan 👍🏼 Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
One little tip for car parking, try to use the apps if they are available, that way you can put the minimum on to start and extend it if you get delayed or want to stay out longer.
Oooh I've never used the parking apps. I've always been old fashioned and paid at a meter. I didn't know you could do that. I'll try that next time. Thanks 👍🏼
Hi Roz, I’ve just ‘found’ your videos and this series is perfect for me as this is what I want to do. I’m just in the planning stage to start next year and as I say these videos are perfect. Thank you. All your prep and anxiety I can relate to as I’m on my own too. Love the note on the dash about the height as an example. Can’t wait to watch the next episodes 😊
@@Roz.S thanks for taking the time to respond. I’ve been trying to work out for a while now what to do as I love caravanning but being ‘just me’ nowadays and a virtual dog at the minute finding your vlogs has inspired me to investigate a go pod or a micro van set up and get out there with my current virtual dog! Thanks again you’re an inspiration 😊👍🏼
Hiya Roz and Winst, I've watched about half a dozen of your videos at random so far and I'm still intrigued, it's nice to see a determined lady trying out adventures like what you're doing it must be hard at times. I often think about doing what your doing. I'll watch some more of your Vlogs first and maybe get a boost to give it a go. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos it gives me a preglimpse.
Great vlog, I just recently found your page. You are very inspiring and courageous in pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. I am very introverted and also struggle with interaction, and your videos have gave me the kick up the bum I needed to plan my next caravan trip. Looking forward to seeing your adventures. P.s welcome to Scotland when you get here. Have a great time.
Just so excited to be off again with you both. Early mornings are the best times to be up and about. GordaleScar brought back many memories for us and our black Labrador (mountaingoat) . Understand the anxiety, you are very brave. Can also understand about walking poles, do you think you'd drop it, reminds us too much of glove episodes. 😂 Really enjoyed going along and thank you so much for taking us Winston getting famous. Enjoy yourself and make many memories. ❤.
Thanks for sharing this one, very enjoyable. Now i don't feel so bad when i nearly talk myself out of going on a trip. In fact, i have done just that a couple of times in the past, and felt ok about it, until the next day, then felt stupid. Really looking forward to following this adventure. All the very best of times.
Briliant as always . Roz question for you , have you thought about doing a calendar with pictures of the amazeing places places you've been & Winston & maybe getting a little profit out of doing it .
Have a great trip. Have you thought about loosening the handlebars on your bike and turning them so they are in line with the wheels while travelling. This is very easy to do.
That's a good idea, I never thought of that. I am about half way through this trip now and not had any problems with the bike (famous last words 😂) Thanks so much for watching.
I can relate to your anxiety at the start of your trip. I'm currently on day 6 of my NC500 adventure. First time this far from home on my own, with Buddy my dog and first time camping full stop. Like you I could have stayed home where it's familiar, but I pushed on and am glad I did. So well done you too, don't know if I could do 2 months straight, having said that I've slept better in my car than my own bed, aches and pains are minimal considering I'm contorting myself into the back of my car.😂 I look forward to your second installment.
We did the the NC500 last year and I had the same pre-trip worries but, like you, I loved it when I was out there. Enjoy the rest of your adventure 🙌🏼 after a few weeks of getting home, you wont remember the sleeping pains, only the amazing things you saw and experienced. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
We have a ridgemonkey. It’s a very useful thing. We can cook omelettes, heat up things like your salmon bakes, pasties etc. cook vegetables, anything really. Because of the lid, it steams as well and reduces smells in our camper. There are lots of UA-cam suggestions on how to use it. Takes up very little room. Great video as always.
Nice start to your latest adventure Roz. I’d like to share a tip with you which I was recently given regarding chemical toilet chemicals, which is to use non bio laundry pods/tabs or just the liquid, instead of even the eco friendly chemicals. So I thought I’d try this on my recent tent camping trip to France. I use a nappy bucket, as it has a tight fitting lid, for when I need a pee in the night and don’t want a trape across a dark campsite. I usually use the blue chem toilet liquid but this time I added a single non bio laundry pod, and do you know what? It was perfect! No nasty smells, only the smell of the laundry liquid. When I emptied the bucket there was still only the smell of the laundry liquid and once ringed out, the bucket was very clean also. So if I were to use a porta potty, I would add two pods or two capfuls to the waste tank and a single measure to the fresh water tank. This will ensure that your bowl smells fresh also. I’ll be doing this in future. Oh, and the reason for non bio? If your waste goes into a septic tank on the campsite, the bio will kill the good bacteria in the tank, and we don’t want that. So non bio only. Happy adventures 👋
That’s great, thanks so much for sharing that tip. I usually use the blue and pink chemicals but they’re not eco friendly and not suitable for most places in the Hebrides, so I bought the eco pods. But after using the pods, I’m not a fan of them. They don’t work that good in my opinion so your tip is very welcome. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Question.Does Winston like Carrots. Our old dogs loved Carrots. They really enjoyed eating and crunching them. Just like bones. Happy Adventure from George and Jane.
Yes, he likes carrots. If I am chopping them up in the kitchen at home, he always comes over and I give him one. He also has the end off any banana that I'm eating 😅 Thanks for watching.
@@Roz.S Our dogs was both Rescue. In those days it was associated with Police and both was about to get the chop. Been in the pounds the longest. They both had a good life with us and lived to a good age. I think there is an old Video of them on our channel. ua-cam.com/video/2Hzh1W7_DPk/v-deo.htmlsi=2ABkL41Yi3H2MhLy Cheers from old George and Jane
@@MakeDoAndMend1 The barking just woke Winston up 😅 He's currently sleeping (or was) on the sofa next to me. Lovely to hear that you gave them the life they deserved 🐶 Thanks for sharing.
Hi Roz, that was a really enjoyable half hour. Missing the 10am curfew when the tourists are in full swarm is the way to go. Getting barraged by cows is no fun. I have a 3yr old German Shepherd cross rescue dog (Ebony), she is not afraid of anything….Don’t want to think how she would react to cows in close proximity!
Winston isn’t bothered by cows (unless they chase him of course) it’s me that doesn’t like them 😅🙈 Thanks so much for watching. Glad you enjoyed our video 👍🏼
Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, and Janets Foss is a gem of a circular. I park on the road just outside the carpark so that I can take as long as needed for the walk. The whole area has been in films (Harry Potter) and tv series (The Witcher) and is generally a lovely place to visit. Have a great adventure in the midge infested Scotland. :)
Anxiety is understanable with such a grand scheme. But you are a great organiser and that makes a real difference in terms of minimising the chance of problems. I share your preference to visit places when they are people free.
I've done pretty much this exact trip sans a caravan, just in a rental car. Over 20 years ago! Great that you acknowlege your nerves, label them and just get on with the adventure at hand. I also remain impressed with the production quality of your videos and would love to know what software you use to do all the titles etc -- loved the 'typing sound' of your text in the beginning of this video. ❤
@@Roz.S I also wanted to mention something (potentially) a tad weird -- in the series Elementary (feat Sherlock Holmes) there is a crowd known as 'everyone' -- it's a virtual eyes on the world blah blah blah and it helps him solve a few crimes / stay safe. Please keep in the back of your mind you have an 'everyone' -- there are a ton of your channel followers who are essentially one big fan base /family. If you need us, we're here. That's coming from a 61 year old techhie based in Australia! Who has load of friends in the UK who are white knights. xx
Hii , I can't help laughing at you sometimes , sorry 🤣🤣... but you are a professional camper long time ago 🥰 ! And I love the way you take care of all of your stuff, a lot of people don't care at all. Can't wait to see the northern scenery /landscapes. I'm going on a weekend trip with my caravan and my "new" car tomorrow ... hmm I'm very excited 😊😊
I’ve just discovered your channel and so glad I have. I am single with a dog and considering getting a caravan for us to go on adventures together. I’ve not caravaned since the seventies as a child and so much has changed. Thanks to you this dream is more likely to become a reality. Am looking forward to seeing more of your adventures.
totally agree with you - the anxiety at the beginning is the worst - plus the hassle of packing and then it all gets better - awesome you are setting out on - smashing narration as well - good luck!
The constant panic that you've forgot something or wondering if you should pack extra of this or that - it's exhausting!! 🙈😅 But that's done now, and the adventure has started 😀 Thanks so much for watching.
Always used to get nervous before our caravan holidays, think it was because so many things could go wrong and once you’re away you lose control of where vehicles can be repaired and 4 kids! 2 months and 16 sites - you need a sign on your van saying you do driveways and gardening😉
If you haven't already got one try and find the midge nets that cover your face and head. I left Oban last week intending to continue up to Ullapool then over to Rosemarkie. They were so bad on the morning I left I opted to move over to the east that day instead to escape them.
Nice to see Winston supervising, Anxiety can be such a trip hazard. You can do it, you don't just talk the talk, you do the do. Looking forward to following your journey.
The anxiety thing before setting off is completely normal. I get the same and it's a relief when I set off because it all just disappears. I agree about the hiking poles, too much of a faf. Good luck for the rest of the trip.
Looking forward to your upcoming vlogs. Love seeing your subscriber and viewer tallies rising. Hopefully this might lead to you being able to be a full time you tuber…and possibly treat yourself to that lovely compact 2 berth 😊 I’m also relieved to learn that you also get pre-trip anxiety, you described how I also feel! (Although on this weeks camping trip I realised an hour into my drive that I left behind my pillows and my dog’s bed. I’ve ended up with a rolled up towel as a pillow and Tilly dog got a hoody to sleep on. We’ve managed and I am far too tight to shell out for a pillow and a dog bed for the sake of 5 nights!) I’ve just walked Chee Dale. Heartily recommend it if you’ve not done it yet.
Thank you so much for following our adventure! There are worse things to leave behind than a pillow and dogs bed, and you made do 👍🏼 and it only added to the adventure. I’ve not done Chee Dale before but it is in my list. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel 🙌🏼
I often think to myself like you described about making that move out of the comfort zone about those astronauts who woke up in a nice warm bed one morning and a few hrs later were strapped inside the top of a Saturn rocket ready to blast off to the moon. I then get my act together at the speed of light...😊😊 Brilliant vids by the way I'm watching them all from the beginning, they don't half remind me of the adventures I had with my spaniel.
That's a brilliant example; I may be having anxiety about leaving the comfort of home, but at least I'm staying on this planet 😂😂 Thanks so much for watching and following our adventures. Glad to hear that you're enjoying them.

You’re more than welcome. Thank you for watching our video.
Well done you. Have a great trip. Looking forward to following it.
Love how Winston saw your hand move towards the treats and wanted his reward 🐶😍
He knows that's his pocket 😅👍🏼
Thanks for watching.
You are a very strong ,adventurous Lady.
Winston is such a Good Boy! I love the way his tail whirrs like a propeller when he's running!
I had a go pod for a season I am in my sixties and realised towing wasn't for me. I now have a campervan which suites me better. I really admire your determination.
I'm glad you found a solution that works for you! Wishing you lots of happy adventures.
Thanks so much for watching.
Glad you’re enjoying our videos. Thanks so much for watching and following along 👍🏼
That's a trip I want to do too!
You've probably got it booked already but a campsite I always use in Dumfries and Galloway is Rockcliffe, stunning location, dark skies and plenty of walks from site.
Good luck!
I’m already booked, but I come to Scotland frequently so I’ll check it out for the future. Thanks so much for watching and sharing 🙌🏼
You're a breath of fresh air Roz, nothing like watching the pair of you walking in lovely places & imagining I'm there too.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching our videos and following the adventure 🙌🏼
😊 Stay safe
Glad you’re both enjoying the videos! I’m a Tesco girl myself 👍🏼Thanks for watching and following along.
Whist on Harris, stay at Horgrabost. The most magical location.
Lovely video , Malham does get extremely busy , those cows are very friendly . Looking forward to the rest off the trip . Thanks for sharing
The cows moved off the path and I was able to sneak through 😅🙈 I am okay with sheep, horses, anything but cows 😅
Thanks for watching.
Winston looks super fit for his age on your lovely walk.👍
He’s doing well for 12. The walks are a lot shorter than they use to be, but he’s still very enthusiastic about them 👍🏼

Long may that continue, the companionship with a dog is something special.🐺
Loved this video! Thanks for your honesty about anxiety, I experience exactly the same. So glad you push through it and then share your adventures. I'm looking forward to the rest of your trip
Thanks so much for watching and following along 👍🏼🙌🏼
A few minutes in and I want to say how much I resonate with ‘I don’t want to…..’. Over the years I’ve come to acknowledge my ‘stage fright’ as a welcome and necessary precursor to meeting a challenge (be it big or small) that makes it a success. I’ve never known anyone else feel the same. Back to the video…….
I try to use it as a sign that I’m actually doing something challenging and worthwhile. Changing my perspective helps me to work through it.
Thanks so much for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Make sure you have plenty of grooming combs for Winston. Ticks are a problem. I use Brevacta on my dog and found it to be most effective.
Thank you. I get Winston's tick stuff from the vets and I've never had a problem, it might be Brevecta actually as that name sounds familiar 🤔 But he's fully protected. Thanks for watching 👍🏼🐶
I get you when you talk about being anxious before journeys it's happened to me in the past.I'm wondering if it's because we're single or if couples go through it?Yes, Winston is a star but without you Roz there would be no Winston walks nor You tube channel so pat on the back for yourself please.Your travel plans are looking so good to me.I'm looking forward to seeing
them.Safe travels.See you on the next.
That's very true! Nerves could just be excitement!
Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Have a great trip, thanks for being real about anxiety It will help people
No problems at all. Thanks so much for watching. 👍🏼🐶
Superb start in a stunning place, big plus to you two, lovely, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching. 👍🏼
Half hour vlog..that calls for brew and biscuits 🎉
I'm going to try to keep them at 20-30min, although I'm not promising. 🙈
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed your biscuits!
Stay safe.
Well done Roz, brilliant first vlog on this awesome adventure.. Great soundtrack! x
Thank you. It's been a while since I've edited a vlog so it took me a bit longer than usual 🙈 Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I love your outlook on life & your lifestyle .... Touché
Appreciate that. Thanks so much for watching.
Wish to find your video four months ago💝to send my good energies to you💝 hope your ok & back to your safety zone 🤗
Hello, your new challenge is great, it is just as you describe it, leaving the comfort zone, it is taking that step, the song you used that talks about that is great! Winston a charm! This time I used Google Translate, greetings
This is a great translation! I wouldn’t have guessed that I was translated. 👍🏼
Thanks so much for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video
One tip about the bike and being concerned about the overhang - you could loosen the stem bolt slightly and rotate the handlebars 90 degrees. Tighten it back up and leave it that way until you need to use your bike.
That’s a great suggestion. Thanks very much 👍🏼
Gr8 Video Roz!!
He's so cute...brave enough to frolic ahead...a bit, but looks over his shoulder to set eyes on mum! So sweet.
Winston's the best boy to go hiking with; he's so good!
Thanks so much for watching and for the tips 😀🐶👍🏼
Great to see you and Winston out on another ( very big) adventure and thanks for taking me along . You really have done a lot of planning and organised packing so I hope you’ve not missed anything. Very wise to give the swim a miss, it looked pretty cold . Interesting about the sheep dipping though . Have a safe journey and take care both 🐕🦺👍

Ive been along the Outer Hebrides in a camper van. I think you will like it. Not so many people. Very beautiful in a wild way. You are very inspiring and I like the detail. I will keep watching.
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing your experience. 🙌🏼
Thanks for watching.
Winston has clearly had an active and rich life thus far....what a great find (him you that is)! Enjoy the adventure, just brilliant you can do it and have embarked upon it. Enjoy every minute. Has your Van served you well so far (reliable etc) looks a great small resource?
Van has been good. 👍🏼 She had a clean MOT (no advisories) at the beginning of the year along with a full service, and I've got good breakdown cover which also covers me towing my caravan 👍🏼
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Thank for watching. I hope you have a great time on your adventure :)
Hiya Roz and Winst,
I've watched about half a dozen of your videos at random so far and I'm still intrigued,
it's nice to see a determined lady trying out adventures like what you're doing it must be hard at times.
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed our video 👍🏼 and best of luck on your adventures 🙌🏼🚗
I think I would be forever dropping the hiking poles 😅😅🙈
Thanks so much for watching and following our adventure.
I'm not a great photographer though, I'm just a point a shoot and hope for the best 😅😅 Out of about 50 photos, I may get a good one 🙈😅
Winston packed his chew toy; he's ready. Looking forward to your telling us of your Adventures Roseanne. Wishing you the best.

Have a great trip. Have you thought about loosening the handlebars on your bike and turning them so they are in line with the wheels while travelling. This is very easy to do.
That's a good idea, I never thought of that. I am about half way through this trip now and not had any problems with the bike (famous last words 😂)
Thanks so much for watching.
Good luck , you are very honest and telling it like it is , looking forward to seeing the outer Hebrides.

The canyon was stunning. Looking forward to ride along in this adventure.
Just had to Google what a ridgemonkey was 😅 Looks cool, thanks so much for the suggestion!
Glad you liked the video. Appreciate you watching 👍🏼
He also has the end off any banana that I'm eating 😅

I’m also relieved to learn that you also get pre-trip anxiety, you described how I also feel! (Although on this weeks camping trip I realised an hour into my drive that I left behind my pillows and my dog’s bed. I’ve ended up with a rolled up towel as a pillow and Tilly dog got a hoody to sleep on. We’ve managed and I am far too tight to shell out for a pillow and a dog bed for the sake of 5 nights!) I often think to myself like you described about making that move out of the comfort zone about those astronauts who woke up in a nice warm bed one morning and a few hrs later were strapped inside the top of a Saturn rocket ready to blast off to the moon. I then get my act together at the speed of light...😊😊 Brilliant vids by the way I'm watching them all from the beginning, they don't half remind me of the adventures I had with my spaniel.
