Please go back to the archery shop and get some instruction. It’s usually a bow set up per specific person. But since you both are just learning / having fun see if they can set it to where both of you would be able to use it together. Wait till you get into 3D archery shooting. Also tip inserts need to be glued into the arrow shafts after being cut to length. And I’m sure the shop has less expensive arrows. Those are great shafts. Just a little more on the expensive side compared to others they should have available 👍🏻 keep up the great content
The arrows your using are way to long. Whatever your draw length is that should be the length of your arrow!! Also when you adjust the sights you always low the pin to shoot higher and vise versa!!
It’s like the first day of football practice and when coach sends ya to the locker room to shower and you figure out the past several years that you weren’t near as blessed as you thought you were! You just figured out you were cheated!!
Never dry fire a bow! And get a trigger release trust me. And watch lots of video's from trusted people. I love all of ya'lls video's! Love the gun content too!
1st off young man!!!! YOU NEVER DRY FIRE A BOW! Which means you never fire a mow without an arrow in it it did 2nd off your sights on your bow if you're shooting high you move your pin high you always follow the arrow
I can see why the old man or Bill gets angry at the stupid remarks that are made on these channels these people are trying to do good for the drag racing especially the small guy community their not stars or actors their real people who are letting you see a glimpse into their personal lives it's not for others to judge P.S bill you should try and get a new rule mandated at all tracks NO SAND BAGS AND YOUR CAR HAS TO BE SOMEWHAT CLEAR OF DEBRIE OR EXCESSIVE WATER IN KNOWN HIDDEN PLACES.
If you watch Allison shooting the compound bow. She is doing what many people do when shooting. She is dropping the bow right before she releases the string. This is because we want to make sure we hit the target. But it is much more consistent and accurate to take your time and follow through meaning keep your eyes where you want to hit on the target. All the time in the world to see where you hit after the shot. Never dry fire any bow. Especially cross and compound. In the video it looks like you guys are roughly 30 yards from the target. That is to far for no more experience either of you have with a bow. Try shooting 15 yards until you are consistant then move back 5 yards at a time. For practice with a 70lb bow I'd suggest 30 yards max. Honestly it will be next to impossible for both of you to shoot the samee bow with equal success. You have to take in consideration draw weight which is how difficult the string pulls back. Then you have draw length with is how far you pull the string back. You both should go to an archery shop to find out what you each have for draw length. Any archery dealer that has full service can walk you through all things important and safe shooting bows One more thing I'd like to suggest is a quick release rather then pull the string back with your fingers. There are several styles to choose just get one that best fits each of you. Unless you have very strong fingers it is hard to shoot consistently. With a release it is with a trigger just like on any firearm. Bows are not the same as guns. If you want to get the best accuracy with a bow you need one that is set up for your requirements. Hope this helps. Welcome to the 2A community be safe and enjoy the sport's of archery a n d firearms.
I really enjoyed this video. I'm an old guy so it's kinda like watching my kids or grandchildren. My favorite spot was when the neighbors made the big boom and Tommy jumped out of his boots! Lots of good fun. God bless you both.
Just happy to see both of you getting into guns and bows and hopefully hunting. Absolutely love it. Don’t worry about how accurate you are. We all started somewhere. Just have fun and be careful.
Couldnt agree more. Honestly think it was the optics. No way you miss 8 of 10 with open sights at 20 yards. Just saying. .. your probably better hen you think. Dial in that red dot!!! And you'll hit 10 of 10
Tommy and Allison like seeing you two come more out of your shells. Have fun and don’t worry about being judged. If people ever judge you for showing your true selfs and admitting you don’t know something then there people not worth listening too. Continue what your doing. You both are great at what you do
I live seeing you two interact with each other. I can tell you truly love each other. I got a feeling this will be Miss Vickys favorite video of all time. Keep up the goodness !
I really like you guys. You're the only ones that I watch all your ads to make sure you get your revenue. You guys should post more even if its just daily life vlog stuff that isn't heavily edited. Tommy Allison is wife material. You've got a good one young man hang on to her
Have watched SRC since the beginning, then started watching your dads channel and now yours and I have to say you have some of the absolute best B roll I’ve seen on UA-cam. It’s amazing how big of a difference it made on the SRC videos when you started helping with the editing. Keep it up man. I wish you and the rest of your family the best of luck in everything you do.
You all should be well on your way to a million subscribers because you two are great! Nice wholesome channel with some great content much love too you guy's.
Well I had to admit you guys talked about really nothing yet I still enjoyed your video it's nice to hear people that are down-to-earth and you and your family are definitely that you guys are down to earth and it's always enjoyable to hear from you
So now we know that Allison is good at everything, and Tommy is a natural goofball. Keep it coming. This is your best video yet! And we all have interests outside of racing too. Fun video! Good job!
Never dry fire a compound bow. It can actually hurt you. I have a buddy the lost his eye because the string broke when he dry fired his bow. The string slapped his eyeball. Great to see you guys just living life away from racing. You guys make the cutest couple.
You guys are fabulous the way you are! DO NOT CHANGE! The unscripted events are the ones that make you guys down to earth and believable. Junk breaks all the time right out of the box, that's what make stuff interesting. Fantastic vid guys.
If you plan on doing much shooting especially anything larger than 22LR, you each may want to invest in some slim electronic hearing protection. This way it will block out the noise, but still be able to hear what each other is saying. By getting the electronic hearing protection you can adjust the volume to each person's needs
Love the content and it's nice seeing the real life stuff sometimes instead of fancy videos other channels have. Your circle of people is a damn good one and it's always entertaining to me. Hope to see more videos soon! 💪🏼🙏🏼
Ok not roasting ya... the next shooting video let's see some "eyes and ears". Safety glasses and ear protection. I know it a 22 and not all that loud but it's one of them thing that will be natural for you to do when you guys shoot more. On another note i enjoy your enthusiasm on your new found hobby
Once you get in that routine it will come as natural as putting your helmet and belts on. It's good seeing the younger generation that may not have grew up with firearms getting into them for the right reasons.
Zero that red dot in at 25 yards and practice shooting with both eyes open, couldnt tell if you guys were closing your left eye or not but red dot’s are designed to be shot with both eyes open.
What an awesome video. The Tannerite was hilarious… These two kids are great together. Allison and Tommy you both shoot like the main character from thousand ways to die in the west.lol
its great to see you guys so comfortable with each other that tommy know his spot like having to sit on the ground to remove your boots moments like this are great to see
Love that you guys recorded your day of fun. Yes would love to see more of how you spend your off time. You loved to see videos of your Dart as well Allison. Tommy we love the new truck. We’ll be watching. Hope to see y’all at Dig or die at Rockingham NC. Hope the pines trees we gave Miss Vicki are doing well. Thanks for sharing. From your friends from Cameron NC.
It does the heart good to see some fine youngster's like you too. I'm your dad's age and my biggest fear is there's not enough young people like you I've raised a couple fine young men glad there are a few more good kids out there.
Dude this is great content. I love shooting and blowing shit up. And I'm 52. I have big game hunted in NW Montana for the last 22years. Bow hunting in grizzly country is a trip.
When sighting a bow in, follow your arrow. If it shoots high, move the sight up. Right, move the sight right, etc .... Bows are expensive hobby, but can be a great challenge. They're great fun. You two will have fun. Be safe . 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
When u got in that big tube and busted your butt,, that was so funny,, laughed,,my a__ off.. It Reminded me when I was young!! I was raised on a farm as well and we used big tractor tires to roll in ,we would get inside and race each other ,it was ok until we started pushing each other down big hills / cliffs 😂😂😂😂 then pop knew it was time to take them ..(Good times) Watching you two is something special. You can see how much you two care for each other for sure..watch some helpful videos and be safe ...✌️
Man you guys are beautiful together, y'all remind me of my girl and I.❤️😘 some of the best heart warming content I've seen in a long time, I needed this. Keep it up, I wish that we could be part of it.
I watch every one of the videos your whole family puts out it is nothing like any other UA-cam video out there it's down to earth it's it just makes you want to be there we love you all
Great content!!! Don't worry about looking dumb. Everybody makes mistakes & i think people like that. Keep putting out videos to grow your channel. You guys are going to be just fine!
I tell u what guys y'all are a fresh of breath air its cool seeing u guys doing ur thing and having fun I like that y'all are very simple god bless y'all
Tommy-Allison: Definitely keep these kinds of vids comin, especially firearm related!!! I'm an early 70s baby that was taught shooting, safety, field stripping/assembly, etc etc at a very young age by my late dad that was a Marine in the 1950s. .22LR is the best way to start out if you're not previously experienced in guns/shooting. Once you're good at that, I recommend going to .223/5.56. If ya REALLY wanna have some fun down the road, 30-06, .308, 7.62, etc etc. Hell...depending on how Ohio law is, get yourself a permit to buy handguns and start out small with a .22! Trust me. You think rifles are fun? Handguns are WAYYYYY more fun!!!!!
Enjoyed the video guys.remember one thing....you gotta be able to laugh at your self when you make a mistake and make it fun.just be yourself.just doing daily vlogs would be fun to watch.God Bless
Fortunately today we have the internet to learn things. In the 80s and 90s I had to be taught by mean old men that served in wars that would cuss and yell and throw tools and smack ya in the back of the head as a teaching method.
I called it !!!! Soon as I seen Alison's swing. I said Ohhhh she has definitely played softball. And I was right!! Don't fret Tommy, you always have drag racing!! You gots her there.... well for now!! Hahaha. Good stuff you 2 !! 🙏🙏
Yes I loved this video and would like to see many more like it. As far as sighting in your bow. The easiest was to remember follow your holes when you move the pin you are sighting in . Example the top pin is the closest as in 20 yard shoot and if you shoot high move your pin up . If it shoots to the right move the pin right " FOLLOW " your holes.
Okay just watched a compilation of people dry shooting bows- Lesson learned 🤣
We all have that first time for everything tommy. We have to start somewhere
Yea ya never wanna do that.
Please go back to the archery shop and get some instruction. It’s usually a bow set up per specific person. I have an idea build some go karts and race them on your dads track
I recommend the predator 212CC engine you can get it from harbor freight
The arrows your using are way to long. Whatever your draw length is that should be the length of your arrow!! Also when you adjust the sights you always low the pin to shoot higher and vise versa!!
Tommy's face when that tanerite went off was hilarious

Yes it was pretty funny I wished the kids would make more videos like this just having silly fun
“This is a family place and your wearing your stripper glitter” hahahaha I love it
I see you two lasting as long as your mom and dad Tommy Allison's so real she's a keeper
Are they getting a dee vorce? I always thought her and Kenny was probably messing around.
She pulled that 70lb bow back like nothing! ...and she didn't even use good technique in doing so! I'm impressed!
No she's hot for billy😂
Stop talking shit about Allison she's good people

Ok Louisiana swamp tip in bow hunting in my book. Throw damn bow away go buy bigger gun 😂😂😂😂
I laughed so hard I was in tears when that loud shot/explosion happened. Tommy jumps and the look on his face was epic🤣😂
Love Tommy's reaction after 25:44 when the BOOM goes off
