Good morning, I watched your video and it took time to do something similar for the rear of a Tacoma. My question is the support you have on the bar. Did you attach it to a reinforcement (chassis) or is it just with the sky?
No I don't. Hmmm might be a good video, thanks for the idea. I was self taught and youtube certified. Lol I made tons of mistakes learning how to do these installs. The main pieces of advice I can give are these. 1. Look on youtube and find out how relays work. Every light should be on relays. 2. Practice putting the system together on a bench before trying to install it into a vehicle. 3. Make a wire route map before you start pulling wires. 4. Buy panel tools to safely remove panels and fixtures. 5. Take your time. I hope that helps some. Have a great day!!
What kinda visor light do u have in there, I bought some but they wouldn’t fit bc of the thing beside my review mirror? What kind are they and where did u get them?
Well these are wicades. They are dash lights that I made work for visor lighting. I however would not recommend doing so. They actually kept falling until I made fabed brackets for them. My best advice, go ahead and buy the actual visor lights. They'll do a better job for you with less headache.
So ... what are your EVOC (emergency vehicle operator) qualifications ie: training? In addition to that, what are your EVOC quals in your personal vehicle (ie; EVOC training in your specific personal vehicle ... 2WD vs. AWD vs. 4WD vs. vehicle type, etc)? Does your insurance company cover you when you're operating your personally owned vehicle (POV) as an emergency vehicle? What are the laws in your state regarding emergency lighting in private vehicles? Just curious, because this exact kind of thing has caused legal (and liability) problems for individual volunteers and their departments across the United States in recent years.
All really good questions, I'm probably not qualified to answer all of those. I am a self taught installer. I am not an emergency responder of any kind. This is just a side business for me. I mainly do work for Law Enforcement officers on their personal vehicles. They use them for their EJ's. I will not install Red and Blues on any ones vehicle unless they provide me their LEO credentials. As far as where and when they can use them. That is setup by the individual departments and their policies. It's the same for Volunteer Firefighters as well. The VF's can only have Red White and Amber's. Any one can have lights and even sirens, but definitely look at local laws for using them. They are different in just about every state.
Those are the Feniex T3's. They are extremely bright but very small for tiny hidden locations like that. They dont interfere when the tailgate is down either. Very versitile and powerful little lights.
I'm actually not familiar with 2x's. These are Wecades from Amazon for visor lighting. They are the ONLY chinese lights that I ever recommend. The rest are Feniex. You just can't beat Feniex quality and prices. Now on the visor in this video you see that I had them up there with the suction cups they came with. I went back and put permanent metal brackets on them so they wont ever fall.
I'm at a gas station and see a Toyota Tacoma police truck. They also rigged the tail lights and head light to blink and flash with the cops blue and red lights.
I’ve got a ‘19 Taco as well; I love the setup and it’ll definitely inspire my installation
Awesome! Glad you liked it!
I hope I get to see your finished project! Thanks for the kind words.

I love your setup. So simple and effective.
Wow you've really upgraded since your last video POV.
Bad ass setup bro!

This is cool, I have a Nissan frontier, having a small truck is hard to get lights on
What style bracket/mount did you use for the grill lights?
Do you still have this truck and how long you had this truck
what visor bracket are you using
How long you had this truck and do you still have this truck
It's not my truck,
It belongs to a client.
Thank you for the comment.
What rear window brackets are you using? I’m having a hard time getting my light stick in that spot.

I need to send my truck to you. I hate running wires. Just joined the fire department, looking at how to set my truck up. Do u have a how to video?

@@swc2001 That's great advise. I have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I had to make a metal plate to mount on the visor for my lights.

swc2001 allow me to rephrase. I was asking if those lights were Feniex 2X Dash lights. And nice setup
