Good morning, I watched your video and it took time to do something similar for the rear of a Tacoma. My question is the support you have on the bar. Did you attach it to a reinforcement (chassis) or is it just with the sky?
If it was a manual, you could get 4 seconds less

I use those brackets with hardware and tie them into the head liner
How long did it take to arrive?
Maybe 6 or 7 days. It wasn't too long. I bought it from MatterHackers. But it's also on Amazon too.

That's not a manual wail you idiot. It's an electronic version of a Q siren. See that you do t know what you're talking about because you're what we first responders call a " tick" just like the little parasite. You probably have no authority to have a siren with yellow lights

all that displacement to make 230 horsepower and less torque 🤣
@@rock-uu7qr454 makes 290 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, the 6.5 makes 190 hp and 385 lb-ft, the 454 wins by a long shot.
@@MrQuickscopes34 nope highest power numbers from 6.5 were 215/440 at 1700 rpm. That is much better for towing especially at altitude

A 506 Optimizer? The 506 my 97' had was absolute sh*t. Bought a 599 to replace it with. Sounds good though.

The only thing I can think of that you may not have done that’ll be beneficial to that truck is moving the computer or sensor from the top of your intake. 6.5s are bad about messing those up because of heat exchange. Simple fix.
Is that top left button on the 4200 a master switch or do you just have everything wired to that one button?
Duramax was were and is prob the biggest waste of money chevy ever spent ! Had they done the right thing and buy detroit diesel before the chrysler corp did these would be light years ahead of any and i do mean any duramax out there

I'm at a gas station and see a Toyota Tacoma police truck. They also rigged the tail lights and head light to blink and flash with the cops blue and red lights.
I have a 1996 6.5 chevy cheyenne with only 140,000 miles. stored a long time. I just installed a new turbocharger, SB cold air intake and waste gate solenoid . today im installing a vacuum pump and pully and a 4" exhaust. .

How’d you mount the brackets
Well I tied one half of the brackets directly into the visors. So that provided mechanical retention there. The other side was bolted through the head liner with a nylock nut. The head liners are very rigid and don't flex so it holds it nice and tight. It's the same way the rear light bar is mounted. If you would like go check out my other video on the Tacoma. Hey I noticed this video was posted 2 years ago can u give an update on how ur truck is doing now?
Well it's had a blown head gasket. Not sure why. But that is fixed and is now back on the road. Honestly not much else has been done to it. I do want to put the super 60 turbo on it from quadstar. That's probably all for now. Thanks for the question 🙂
